  1. We'll agree to disagree since this is an exercise in futility. However I do appreciate you not using overly vulgar terms though your use of rabid fangirl is amusing. Double posting? If you are talking about me not multi quoting it's because that's not available on mobile and I'm on the subway. Have a great day.
  2. I find this statement to be very true. Also those comments were made in initial reaction interviews but their actions have only shown them to be supportive and helpful. It's like when you are at work or school and though you may have a negative first impression or dislike someone you keep that opinion to yourself and still make sure you create the best project.
  3. I was responding to a specific posters comments involving Hongseok. I'm sure there was much discussion involving the first episode. Personally I don't the issue with informing them that he's unavailable to tutor them. He is busy. So was Bobby. I'm looking at this thru the framework of a regular job though. Team leaders don't hold your hand in the workplace. They delegate someone to guide you. Perhaps my difference of opinion is based on work experience
  4. *sigh* That's nice dear. Discussion isn't the issue. Your vulgarity in what WAS a civil discussion is. It's amazing what people will say from behind a keyboard and call discussion.
  5. Nah, I'm not being overly defensive. I responded to specific criticisms that were not valid. I can only judge based on their incredibly rude responses. If they do like him that's nice but I only responded to their over inflated statements.
  6. I acknowledge that Hanbin has flaws as no one is perfect but I addressed your specific comments that you posted. If you want to misinterpret that as Hanbin is perfect please do so. I was going to engage you but again you think inappropriate comments are okay. For someone who thinks vulgarity is a form of civil discussion it's difficult to expect a nuanced response. We'll agree to disagree because you are not someone I particularly care to speak to about this anymore. Also that is my picture and same username EVERYWHERE on the internet. I don't hide who I am so don't mistake my disgust with your commments as running away. Be clear that it's because this forum is clearly not for me if that sort of speech is okay.
  7. When all their comments relate to Hongseok and Hanbin it's difficult to call it reaching. However since I did not use this site during Win, and will only occasionally visit in the future since some comments are a very distasteful, this could be section XXV of their ongoing issues with him that I did not know about. I always find these standards people create so interesting...and tiresome. Anyhow thanks for clarifying that some people have always disliked Hanbin and Hongseok is the latest tool in their case.
  8. LOL...you can misinterpret as you wish. Having been in positions of leadership over the years and also in dance crews when I was younger Hanbin has the characteristics of many a leader. However the rest of your comment is really disgusting. I was informed that this thread was a place of civil discussion but that is obviously not the case. It was my mistake to even speak to you. Girl Bye
  9. Everything I wrote was stated in the epidode. I even watched the episode a second time with English subs to make sure I didn't miss anything so I find it INCREDIBLY rude of you to accuse me of fabrication and lunacy rather than respond with a counter argument stating your position. I didn't really care about Hongseok being on the team until all these international Hongseok stans decided insulting Hanbin for Hongseok's laziness was somehow a way to support Hongseok. iKON is Hanbin's team and it's centered around him. If you dislike him so much, because of a 2 week trainee we've seen nothing from, perhaps you should switch to Bang Yedam's team. Since you clearly have your opinion and no desire to actually engage in discussion it seems our conversation is over
  10. 1) That dance practice he didn't help Hongseok with was the one to determine the 5 best dancers for that part THAT DAY...Hongseok was never going to be picked and delaying practice to teach him would be counterproductive. Instead once he selected the five dancers they began working on the next part which Hongseok would be in. He delagated additional instruction of Hongseok to Donghyuk because obviously Hanbin did NOT have the time. Considering Hongseok still didn't know the dance routine FIVE DAYS BEFORE EVALUATION it's safe to say he skipped more than one extra practice. 2) Hongseok took leave from college...the Team B members are the ones who dropped out of school. 3) Hanbin does not have time to coddle anyone. Everyone was in agreement, including the new trainees, that they hadn't been making the extra effort they needed to. Why would anyone offer additional help to people who aren't doing anything to help themselves? He arranged extra time with Donghyuk and told him to practice and Hongseok didn't. As a leader he informed them of their lacking in regards to hard work and how they needed to fix it. There is no excuse for why people who KNOW they are far behind the rest aren't doing the extra work to improve and try to catch up.
  11. That song still gets my emotions going...everyone just singing and rapping (and playing the piano)...my Team B babies
  12. Hongseok still hadn't learned the dance routine 5 days before the monthly evaluation. Hanbin told him 5 days before he needed to stay and practice and to get Donghyuk to instruct him. I'm sure you don't have a problem with a leader using skills such as delegation. To address your initial complaint on the group practice I'm sure you are aware that was to pick the 5 best dancers JUST for that part...obviously he didn't make the cut. Hongseok would have had additional assistance with the second part of the dance he was supposed to do IF he had stayed, learned the dance, and practiced but he did not. So I think you trying to drag Hanbin down for the laziness of Hongseok is VERY wrong. We will have to agree to disagree on his leadership because I think he is doing an excellent job.
  13. Team practice time is not a time for individual instruction...that's why he needs to learn from Donghyuk and stay behind and practice. Since he didn't do that I don't see why Hanbin should give extra instruction. Yes...I do think this show is starting to become an exercise in how close Hanbin can come to making miracles from peopel's expectations LOL It's a trend the kids do...it was happening in America a few years ago but people still do it with hats...still ridiculous Unless all their clothing is sponsored and that is a thing in Korea that you have to leave the tags on
  14. I think this sort of assessment is unfair. They've just begun and if the new members aren't putting in extra effort like the others it'd be hard to help them. He stayed and taught Chanwoo and Jinhyeong and he told Hongseok he needed work and that Donghyuk would teach him. He then gave them a clear assessment of their status after Hongseok didn't follow his instructions and his dancing didn't improve. Also ALL teams with pre-debut reality shows have to awkward development when new members are involved (seriously look at Vixx and Big Bang's shows). I would say Hanbin's problem was he had TOO MUCH going on. He messed up lyrics and then would freestyle as necessary. To me that isn't a bad thing. However, Bobby isn't in the same position he is.
  15. Okay...I think we need to recognize that there were 9 people in the practice room and Hanbin was teaching the initial routine. If he stopped practice to focus on Hongseok that would be a problem. I guarantee people would say he was being unfair. He said he watched him and he was terrible. It's pretty clear he taught everyone the routine and then arranged for Hongseok to be assisted. We say we don't want Hanbin taking on too much and it's clear with everything he had going on that teaching ONE person individually would not be happening. Delegation is part of leadership too. If he stayed and practiced he could have gone to Hanbin with questions since he was still there. I personally don't feel any sentiment towards Hongseok yet aside that I cannot see that he wants it. Whether or not he has a better voice the key to iKON will be teamwork and their leadership. The new member(s) has to find their place in that dynamic and fit.
  16. Oh I'm glad you posted this...I've been telling people that Hanbin told the newbies EXACTLY what their problem was and gave them a direct Leader talk. They lack tension and desperation...greatness Hanbinnie Also the unreleased clip of this week makes me think Hongseok is not engaged at all...we'll see how things go in the future. I won't go further than that because folks seem VERY dedicated to supporting him.
  17. Dude...Storm did nip him...and then the writing team split the X-Men so Scott could have a team whose leadership he ran from in New X-Men because Jean busted him and Emma for their affair. Also I LOVE that in the young X-Men, who came to the future, Jean is like EWWW to the idea of ever dating Scott. He is such a fail and a prick. When the schism happened Storm ONLY stayed because Scott admitted he was crazy pants and needed someone to watch him. In the end she still ended up at the Jean Grey School because nobody has time for all their madness (AvX). OMG that shitty marriage...when Black Panther divorced her on his own we were all like, "It's not like ANYONE approved of your marriage anyway asshole! Your loss! Storm was the one hosting Bast and holding Wakanda down. He isn't even Black Panther anymore because he SUCKS." Yes...he is a prick to me too. I see a trend with male comic book characters and their whiny personalities. Storms new book though...about time
  18. I just have a hate relationship with her. Next weekend I'm on a podcast to review older comics and we're doing the first 6 issues of Astonishing...it's not going to be a good look for her. No...HER mistakes got the New Mutants killed. Then she sent away the kids who go depowered and then THEY got killed. She helped Scott on the path to crazytown while usurping team leadership and got super militant after they moved and then FINANCED his crazy operation. Yeah...NO. So...Hongseok don't be the Emma Frost.
  19. Considering what went down in New X-Men, Astonishing, and AvX I think that is kind of mean...LOL
  20. He doesn't have any tension. That was the complaint Team B had when he was introduced. He was too relaxed. My immediate reaction to Hanbin being disappointed in their dance and then finding out that Hongseok didn't stay and practice as directed is that he doesn't want it. Also just ignorning the directions of the Leader? That's a no no. Hongseok also knows he was wrong because after Hanbin told them the facts he said he didn't find it unfair and wished he could. They made a big deal of Chanwoo staying late to practice his singing. If the two week trainee isn't working himself to exhaustion to improve his singing and dancing he is not going to be viewed as someone who wants it or should get a position in the group. There are 6/7 episodes left and about 5 months of footage so if he does want to be there we'll see a change. He'll listen to Hanbin, practice as hard as possible to catch up (nosebleeds, no weekends, late nights), fit into group dynamics, and he'll make it clear he wants to debut in THIS group. It doesn't matter if his vocal is better than others if his skills completely lack in other areas, he doesn't follow the team leadership, or if he doesn't fit the team.
  21. Thank you for the welcome and I am worried as well.
  22. It's a dance practice...typically there is a lot of yelling involved. Reminds me of WIN when he was correcting A and B in different ways and Taehyun was like, "You can yell at us too." Also GD yelled a lot...still does. In dance...that's just how it is. Considering that Hanbin is reconstituting a group two months in a row I would be angry but he is instead focused on improving them up to his standard. Hanbin is only scary when his voice gets calm and intense and he directly addresses the issues, such as them ignoring his direction to practice, and explains WHY it's a problem. He has directly taught the new member what needs to be done regarding stage direction and dance. Also during the rehearsal when Hongseok began encountering difficulties with his voice Hanbin immediately told him how to improve. I think he's doing an admirable job as a Leader and once they have progressed further, i.e. pass this survival show, he will loosen the reins if you will. Bobby would be a disaster because all of his performances center on him and he drowns out his team mates.
