Ohhh well GL whenever~

I'd really appreciate it if u guys just gave the day or something, I think its quite misleading to newbs if u add the time. Also I don't understand how OTP badges can have request threads and not the group/individuals. I'd imagine that the number of OTPs would be way more than the others. Unless ofc ur adding it through a diff system. I mean its great that the badge system is here and I understand its a privilege but still :/

I understand your concern about it, and I agree about the time being misleading.

I can offer you some explanation regarding the difference between the two types of badges at least.

We want to keep the keep the number of badges sufficient, so only badges that people want will be kept, that's to eliminate the ones with 0-1 holder from clogging it up. For that we do it differently for the types of badge:

- For OTPs, we demand that users will have to request in groups, with supporters and holders. That's to ensure all the badges getting added will be held by 3 people at least.

- For artist badges, we want users to request with the item itself. Since this will lead to competition between groups, the more popular/coveted ones would be hard-fought for, and they will tend to be held by many.

There are rooms for improvement of course, and I am always willing to listen to new suggestions

And since there are many of you asking about the restock time, I can explain the process briefly.

The restocking does not happen instantly at the exact time stated. There is a process that checks once every hour for all the items that have just gone past their restock time, and restock it to the amount stated. For example, it just ran at xx:09 and the forms were restocked at that time.

We are really sorry that you have to compete so fiercely for the forms. That's a measure added to reduce the amount of badges being added to the system(if you check the award page, it takes quite a while to load all 1.5k badges). For now, there is no plan to increase the number of forms(we just shortened the delay between form restock recently). That's all I can tell you about it.

Appeals

If you feel that you have been wrongly given a warning (points or verbal) by a Junior Moderator or Moderator, you are welcome to appeal the decision to the following staff:

You have one month from the date of your warning to make your appeal. Any appeals after the fact will be automatically rejected.

Appeals may take some time, thusly expedited or speedy decisions are not guaranteed.
Failure to complete the form, neglecting to add sufficient proof, and/or bashing of the moderator involved will result in an automatic rejection.

An appeal does not guarantee a reversal of the punishment given, and each appeal will be evaluated on an individual basis. The moderator involved will also be allowed to provide an explanation/proof to defend his or her reasoning. After all parties have made their comments, a brief deliberation will occur, and then a final decision will be made.

All decisions made regarding appeals are final, and are not eligible for re-evaluation. Although you are welcome to ask for clarification regarding the decision, arguing will not be tolerated and will have no affect on the decision.

Rules & Warning Manual

This is the Warning Manual for OneHallyu and the set of rules that users must follow. Moderators will be using this as a set of guidelines along with their own judgment to assess the severity and degree of warnings. Please note that the punishment may be more severe if they feel the circumstance is necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, increasing warning points, adding suspensions and bans, and skipping earlier "levels" opting for more severe punishments.

It is the responsibility of every user to thoroughly read through and understand this manual. Claiming to have not been aware of a rule will not override any punishment given. By creating an account and posting on the forum, you are acknowledging you have read through OneHallyu's rules and terms.

Please note that the following warning points do not expire. Warning points may be removed during an amnesty event hosted by an administrator at their discretion.

Antagonizing Staff - 5-10 Points + Temporary or Full Suspension

Please respect each other's privacy. We encourage users to keep their private information to themselves. The internet can be a nasty place sometimes.

This includes, but is not limited to: intentionally revealing undisclosed (non-publicly made) real names, pictures, locations, schools, family, work, communication methods (including phone number, chatting accounts), private social media accounts, private information, address, etc. Do NOT release any of this private information without prior consent.

If user has publicly disclosed this information (in the current or in the past; to an account or person), it will up to that user to request removal of said information.

Privacy Violation (Includes Pictures, Numbers, Addresses, Names, etc):
1st offense: Remove information, post, and/or thread + 5 Points
2nd offense: Permanently Banned

*Any personal information (ie addresses and phone numbers) shared will result in an immediate ban even if it is the first offense.

Hate Speech (''Exposing'', Bringing External Drama From Outside OH)

The sharing, linking, or directly/indirectly discussing any material found outside OH that contributes to hate speech or outside drama, towards the users of OH (or ''exposing'' like some like to call it) will not be tolerated. Any users found to create, run, or own any websites/blogs with the intent of degrading and bashing the community of OH will be permanently IP banned from OH with no chance for appeal.

1st offense: No points, Immediate suspension. The length will be determined by the severity of the content, and as per the moderator's judgement.

2nd offense: Immediate ban.

Reputation/Reaction Stalking - 1-2 points + Temporary Suspension

Reputation/reaction stalking of a user's posts in a single or multiple threads (in some cases with a duplicate account) regardless of content is highly discouraged and against the rules. This is in the form of negative reputation/reaction allocating, depending on who you are giving the reputation/reaction to and their preference. This also applies to those with dupe accounts that use positive rep/reactions on themselves. If a user has no qualms against being downvoted (said user likes negs); it is not a violation of the rules.

Reputation/Reaction Stalking:

1st and 2nd offense: 1 Point
3rd offense: 2 Points and Suspension (1 day)

If the reputation/reaction system has been deemed abused in any way, then this will result in a reputation/reaction stalking violation at the Moderator's discretion.

Duplicate Accounts - 3 points - Permanent Ban

Duplicate accounts will by no means be tolerated in OneHallyu. Any duplicate accounts found will be immediately banned, and the user will be issued a warning regarding their duplicate account. The warning will be their last one, and if they are caught with a duplicate account again, the duplicates and the original account will be permanently banned from OneHallyu.

For the case of shared IPs (Family members and friends), PM a Moderator or post in the Ask A Mod thread about this, stating your own and any family members' account names.
*If you do not inform us of this - we will simply ban the accounts as above. No exceptions.

2nd offense: Permanently ban

Users who create an excessive amount of duplicate accounts will result in an automatic ban to all their accounts (including the original) at the Moderator's discretion.

Accidental Double Posting is excusable. Please take the initiative to report your own accidental double posts so a moderator may merge the posts for you.
Double Posting in the Random section usually does not warrant a warning at all unless excessive.
If you post twice in a row, but your previous post was 1 hour before, it is not considered double posting.
If you post within 1 minute of your last post, it will automatically merge your posts together.

Posting Same Picture/Text Repeatedly within a single or multiple threads (4 or more times) - 1 Point

Please Note:

Anyone caught spamming all over the forum with the main intent to bypass the 50 posts cap we have in place will have their post count reverted back to zero and being placed back into the New Member usergroup. Please do not try and attempt this.

Note: The limit of threads per hour is 4 with at least 15 minutes between them.

Tag Spam & @-ing Spam - 1 point
It is considered to be tag spam when a thread contains tags unrelated to the topic of discussion, which are being used to generate thread views, or antagonize fandoms/users. If a user chooses to add tags back in after a moderator has removed them from a thread, their posting rights will be taken away for an extended duration at the moderator's discretion.

Use of the member tagging system including but not limited to; mass tagging users, spamming a thread with user tags, or tagging users in threads unrelated to their interests as intentional means of generating a notification, are considered to be a misuse of the system, and will not be tolerated.

1st offense: 0 Point Verbal Warning + unrelated tags removed from thread (Warning Log)
2nd offense: 1 point + Taking Posting Rights Away: (1 hour)
3rd+ offense: 2 points + Taking Posting Rights Away: (1 day)

Signature Violations - 1 point

Original Poster/Original Post Rules

The following guidelines are set in place for OPs:

- Users who have been absent from OneHallyu for 1+ months may have their OP rights removed and given to another user.

- If a user is still active on the forum and someone else has requested for the OP to be changed, the user has one week to respond to the other user before a Moderator steps in. A Moderator will then PM the OP about the request to receive an answer. If the user is active yet unresponsive, their silence will result in the OP being handed over to someone else.

- Previously banned users will have their OP rights removed for a minimum of 1 month. After that time, if no one else has requested the OP and the user has not earned any warning points, then they may request to receive their old OP.

- The OP holder reserves the right to decide what is included in the first post as well as what is updated. They are not required to change it just from another user's request.

- Pressuring and/or bullying the OP holder into changing the first post or original poster will result in a temporary one week ban from the thread, or what's deemed necessary by a Moderator. Once the temporary ban has ended, if the user returns to the thread with the same behavior, then a higher form of punishment will be added at Moderator's discretion.

- If a user is deemed to have obtained an op for use in a manner not in accordance with the OH site rules, the op may be removed at the discretion of the moderating team.

- Petitioning for a change in a thread in the Ask a Mod thread will not be tolerated.

User Location Rules

We appreciate and allow user creativity in regard to locations, titles, and profiles, however, moderators reserve the right to edit or remove locations at their discretion if they feel this privilege is being abused, or is being used in a manner that hinders on other user's ability to navigate the forum comfortably. This includes, but is not limited to content of a graphic or 18+ nature. All forum rules still apply to locations/titles/profiles, and a violation of the rules will result in a warning accordingly. If a user is unsure whether something they wish to use is appropriate or not, they are welcome to PM a moderator or post their inquiry in the Ask a Mod Thread for further clarification.

Content Removal Requests

In order to keep an available collection of information and resources, users cannot request removal of a thread they created if it is an official group/artist thread, music video thread, teaser thread, photo shoot thread, news thread, netizen translation thread, etc... at moderator discretion. Threads found to be false news/gossip, or closed by moderator intervention will still be removed. If you do not wish to keep the op of any such thread you may always request the op be transferred over to an interested user.

If threads have been inactive for more than a year they will not be un-archived. This also means that if a thread needs to be un-archived to be removed, but is over a year old, it is not eligible for removal.

Subject to the above restrictions users may request the removal of their own posts/threads at anytime. The maximum removal request amount is 10 posts/threads per user per 24 hour time period. No exceptions. To request a removal the user will need to provide links to the posts/threads being requested for removal in either the Ask a Mod Thread, or via PM to any moderator.

Special Characters/Emojis in Usernames

With the arrival of our new forum software brings a change; ALL special characters, symbols, emojis, Russian characters etc. will no longer be allowed in usernames. If you have a username containing any special characters/symbols/emojis, please either remove the offending character from your username yourself, or visit the Ask a Mod Thread for assistance in doing so. If unsure whether your username is in violation of this rule please visit the Ask a Mod Thread for additional assistance. If you see a username containing any of the following please report it to a moderator, so the matter can be addressed.

Linking to Illegal Downloads & Unlicensed Streaming Sites

We know everyone likes to share, and we have no control over what you choose to share with one another in private, but please do not link to illegal downloads, or unlicensed streaming sites on the OneHallyu public forum. It is technically illegal, and is not in the best interest of the site. If you link to illegal content it will be removed by a moderator. Repeated failure to heed this rule by a user may result in an account suspension of which the duration shall be decided at the moderator's discretion. If you see any posts linking to this type of content please do report it, so a moderator may take action to address it.

2nd Chance Account and Probation:

If at anytime you receive 10 warning points, your account will be banned. However, you are allowed the opportunity to make one 2nd chance account.
Users that have had their first account banned for truly egregious offenses (to be determined at the moderating team's discretion) will not be afforded the opportunity to create a second chance account.
Upon being banned, all won, unique awards, regular awards, tokens, marketplace items, and etc will be forfeit.
Under no circumstances will any of the above listed items be transferred to the 2nd chance account.
All 2nd chance accounts will automatically begin with 5 warning points (this is done in place of the previous probationary period). All broken rules will receive the normal punishments as per the rule manual.
If at anytime the 2nd chance account receives 10 warning points, the user will receive a permanent IP ban.

How accurate is the timing within the wonhallyu shop of the items restocks? It stated @57 and I refreshed it just on that time yet there was none.......

I'm thinking the same thing, I waited up 4 hours past my bedtime for this. Please don't say it was all for nothing

what is wrong. if the restock is not going to happen on time then why even mention a restock time. and dont restock out of the blue atleast give an hour notice in advance? its totally not fair.

The restock should happen within 3 hours right after the shown restock time.

It was a measure we put in before to reduce server load, but I may take a look and try to adjust it somehow

Why do my notifications always screw up when I get notifications from the miss A thread?

My guess would be the special characters in the thread name/poster name that causes the glitch, as some special characters cause errors in rendering the page :(

Both have proven to be extremely adept at their job. Always friendly and ready to help, the two of them are often there to assist whenever users have a request or problem. Their diligent work helps in keeping the forum well-organized and ensure a good forum experience for everyone.

NEW SUBSECTION

A large part of the OneHallyu community experience is our section of forum games. With many fun and interesting activities to participate in, the section has become home to a sizable group of members. Several of those users have voiced a desire for a better organization in the section, and we think this is a great idea!

After taking their request into consideration, we have decided on a new subsection within the Forum Games section. The new subsection, named "Battle/Hunting and other large-scale games", will be used for the bigger competitive games, such as battle/mafia, that require considerable attention and effort from the players and last multiple days. The main section will house more casual games created by users for simple fun that anyone can join at any time.

For the mean time, the name is tentative (~~because I couldn't come up with any good names OTL~~). I will welcome any suggestions from users!

We hope that you guys will enjoy this small addition!

NOTICE

Firstly, we are aware of the redirect issues coming back, and I am really sorry for that. We will be working on it sometimes later within this month, and hopefully we can finally get rid of it.
Secondly, this goes out mostly to the people posting in the Movies/Television section. I ask of you to not post direct link to drama-watching sites(well, you can mention it, but please don't direct-link). It can lead to legal issue regarding copyright infringement, which of course we do not want any of.

I took a look and I couldn't get it to work. My guess would be the special characters in your names causing the trouble for the system to display it :(

Why are you guys letting someone as inactive and non caring as mes be the head lead of the events team?

He has been inactive for more then half a year and rarely does anything to contribute to the section.

He completely ignores the feedback of players and general disregards anything that happens in the section also.

There is rarely any mini-games anymore but he feels the need to change the token system because for some reason he is upset that players of games are actually getting the awards listed.

So many people have expressed discontent with the change and he does nothing in reply to them.

This is not how you lead a section, you need to interact with the community instead of just doing whatever you want.

Other forums would be baffled at how terribly our games are handled

The count 30 thread has been closed for over a month and a half and he has made no progress what so ever or even left an update about the status of the thread:

"emergency maintenance." No he clearly closed it because he was upset over people winning the game, which the game is completely balanced anyways and does not need any revisions. It should not take this long to change the rules either.

He has no passion what so ever in hosting or management and someone else on the team needs to take his spot because he clearly does not care. I don't care if he's busy, switch him out with someone who isn't, you should not be keeping staff on the roster just because you've known them for a long time and because they've had the spot for months.

None of the players are happy, so clearly something is wrong.

I do know about the complaints over the token system. However, please bear in mind that the token system is a specific feature of our forum with the combination of the marketplace and the forum games section, and the amount of tokens matching with the prize is hard to determine correctly. I do think we still need a couple more revisions to adjust the token system. I believe that you understand the trickiness in game balancing, and adjustments should be made to over time to ensure better experience for everyone.

Similarly, the count to 30 thread was closed down to, with a bit of my input. I must say I do not feel that the game in the thread can be called 'balanced', and it's prone to abuse. Hence, I asked for it to be put in lock for a revamp, and maybe even a whole different game shall be made altogether. Anyway, I do apologize for the delay, and we will try to bring it back(or replace it) as soon as we can.
