  1. Relatively new to the J-dorama scene and have just finished Kyou wa Kaisha Yasumimasu and Season 1 of Hotaru no Hikari, both of which stars Ayase Haruka as the lead actress. <3 (Started S2 of HnH but stopped halfway because they've pretty much ignored all the character deveopment Hotaru had in S1 plus the script just isn't on par with S1) Just started Nodame Cantabile, and will reserve my judgments for later. :) Anyhow will appreciate some recommendations! I've tried a few of these shows and wasn't a fan of it due to the humor involved. 1) Hana Kimi (yes I know it's like the holy shrine of j-dramas but I just can't appreciate it) 2) Atashinchi no Danshi Other shows I've watched but never got around to finishing it due to various other reasons 1) Nobuta wo Produce 2) Rich Man, Poor Woman.
  2. Just finished the drama and all the feels. Loved the Soo Kwang + Jo Dong Min combination and all the laughters they provided. The main cast were well-written and equally well rounded and provided their own flair to the show. I also loved their respective story arcs, it didn't feel disjointed at all. And my new favourite OST from the show Everyone has got their own cup of tea and I won't say anything about you not liking the show but I don't see how you even thought that Jo In Sung's acting was stiff. Since you claim to have finished the entire series, I'm sure you must have at least seen episode 14/15, where everything just came crashing down and his character suffered a major blow due to that. I won't force you to like Jo In Sung's performance but you've gotta admit that he was able to carry out his character superbly in those last few episodes.
  3. Thank you, that is the one that I watched. On a side note, all those mouse emoticons are so cute! I want more. He's such a tease. I like how he shows different sides of himself to us fans. It may not be what he really is but showing sides like these to the fans makes it feel that more personal and non-superficial.
  4. yes! That one, I remember seeing the fan cam for it, but didn't save the link. :'( It looks like a scene from a drama. Really have to credit the fans there for capturing such a perfect scene. He looks absolutely stunning and beautiful.
  5. Hello Thanks for sharing! Interesting to know that is how they move to their starting position. Woah that move at 1:32. I don't even know how his body moves like that. This fan cam is my personal favourite. I think it's pretty popular among the fans. Seriously watching all these fan cams makes me cry even more On another note, can anybody tell me the performance they had with suits on? I think it was during the MAMA era.
  6. I found my paradise. More Kai indulgence for me. Are there any favourite fan cams of Kai that you guys can share?
  7. That is what I meant by her having a bland/badly written character. Rain's character on the other hand has other issues that can be/will most probably be further explored such as his post-traumatic issue and his relationship with his father. Nothing too exciting/interesting though if you ask me. I'm more intrigued by what L's character has to offer behind that snobbish attitude he puts on.
  8. Just started watching it and really like it so far. Honestly it surprised me. The comedic moments don't feel forced or out of place like most dramas do. The more dramatic moments are played out rather nicely and don't feel super melodramatic. And the directing, although nothing ultimately special, is something which I've never really come across in K-drama, it's pretty unique in that sense. (I like the close ups to the faces aha) And I'm not sure about anybody else but I would kill to stay in a house like the one the main cast were using. The furnitures are just so bright and bubbly.
  9. As another user who replied before me, I do not ship Myungstal. I just feel a genuine chemistry when I watch them both together on screen. It comes off more naturally when compared to scenes with Rain. I don't know if you're serious or not but she just hasn't commanded her character well enough. It may be due to the fact that her character so far is just so bland and I see no potential growth in her character when compared to Rain or L's. (who as another user pointed out, has the most interesting character background story so far out of the whole entire cast regardless of whether L's acting is bad or not.) She still has way more to go in terms of improving her abilities as an actress.
  10. Everything you said perfectly captures the 3 episodes that they've released so far. Tbh I just don't get why they casted Krystal for the lead role to begin with. Her acting hasn't improved and worst still, she just doesn't have that romantic chemistry with Rain like she does with L. And the fact that both Rain and her character will eventually end up together doesn't sit well with me. That being said, the drama is still rather enjoyable and it's such a breeze to watch. 1 episode just feels like 10 minutes.
  11. I just can't... Hunter x Hunter. :'( Seriously Madhouse did such an amazing job at making Togashi's work come to life. I almost feel like re-watching the entire series again.
  12. Yunhyeong has really improved in terms of vocal ability since we last saw him from WIN. Personally I prefer Junhwae's vocals over Jinhwan's almost-nasal-voice. Other than that I still feel that YG in general has to really do something about their trainee's vocal training. The english subbed version of episode 2 is out btw.
  13. Just watched an old episode of Star Date with Joong Ki. Watching it made me miss him even more. :'( Still remember the first time I saw Joong Ki appear on Sungkyunkwan Scandal and mistook him for a girl.
  14. Watched the first episode yesterday. Was a breeze to watch, which is a good thing in my book. It has a subtle, poignant feel to it. Looking forward to more. :D
  15. Really impressed by the details of this post. Job well done. (Y)
  16. Has anybody seen the A-Pink "dance cover" to EXO? Seriously cracked me up On another note, their schedules are really packed aren't they.
