  1. Hello, can you please archive (or lock) this thread http://onehallyu.com/topic/408999-%E2%9C%B1-global-music-markets-why-is-chinas-market-so-small-%E2%9C%B1/ Conversations are going nowhere, but I don't want it deleted, so people can look at the chart if they search for it. Thank you.
  2. I agree with haruimnida, but I'd also like to throw in here that the idol industry in japan isn't a whole lot better than korea in terms of personal wealth. The companies pocket all the money- that's why groups like Arashi and Akb48 might have decent sales, but have low incomes. They need to gain personal fame from variety shows, dramas or cfs to really earn anything. It's the same in both Korea and Japan, and I don't really get how 'a bigger industry' is going to be a better choice for someone like Yuta. For all you know, he probably already auditioned for a jpop idol group but chose a different route.
  3. Takuya from Cross Gene is already an actor in Japan. He probably wasn't able to gain much fame and flopped there (maybe even tried out for a jpop idol group) and decided to try Korea. He's not really popular in Korea either, unfortunately, but at least he is part of a KPop group. I really think he should have tried out acting instead. Getting a role in a K-drama would have been much more beneficial to him.
  4. china is third world though. or second world. same thing. millions of people living there in horrible third world conditions.
