  1. Until 30 seconds ago, I had never ever heard of A$ton Wyld's Next Level version in my entire life. So Aespa's version is the first and only I've known until you made me want to check out the original version by letting me know there actually was one
  2. So you mean to tell me this is a whole-ass song, and not just an album highlight? God this is one hell of a horrible song to debut with, the disappointment is incredibly high. And this comes from someone who: - loved all JYP girl groups thus far, and has a special affinity for JYPE - loved Next Level at first listen and kept replaying it a lot What the hell. Make it stop please. Enough.
  3. So happy to see the song charting well. I think it's a really good song, much better than people give it credit for, and definitely her best song so far. It can get stuck in my head so easily and despite replaying it countless of times since release, I haven't yet grown tired of it at all. The same couldn't be said about the previous songs, Birthday especially, tired me very very fast. WYWF was much better, but still didn't have the longevity Dumb Dumb is having with me. The challenges are such a smart thing to do, it's the most impactful part of the choreo, it's original yet easy enough for anybody to try and dance it (like, I learned it and it's fairly easy). And it looks good even if you're not doing it perfectly. I'm glad the song is so well-received, she deserves it!
  4. I actually really love it, that chorus beat drop is everything and making me bounce each time. The song grows on you fast, and Somi looks amazing!
  5. I really really love it, the chorus is amazing and she's growing into her own artist beautifully!
  6. Thanks a lot for the update, and great work Staff Team
  7. Yeah I totally agree with your analysis. There is so much they could have done to further push Sejeong's career, but they haven't. They're been pretty shy, probably partly due to criticism that Gugudan was already labelled as Sejeong and the girls. They shouldn't have cared and grabbed every opportunity they found. (G)I-dle was labelled Soyeon and the girls too, and now look at it thrive regardless, because they still pushed the hell out of her AND her group members.
  8. So it's rather official, Gugudan is now the second post-I.O.I group to officially disband. I was kinda expecting it for a while now, seeing how little group activity they were having, and the mess with Sally, but still, it sucks. I hope Sejeong will get to thrive as a solo artist now, and Mina as an actress/model or whatever she wants to do, truly. I know both of them aren't gonna be jobless though, so I'm not too worried.
  9. Feels weird to realize that, after watching that Blackpink Netflix documentary, What You Waiting For's instrumentals were initially used for Rosé's debut song at first. I suppose she never managed to make something she truly loved out of it and let go of those instrumentals for another one, and that Somi then got it into her hands and made it out to be what it is now? But I don't know, I don't want my girl to get Blackpink's 2nd scraps either, but also this is often how the music industry works as well, a lot of going back and forth, a lot of instrumentals and songs bouncing from artists to artists until something finally sticks. I take pride in knowing Somi made it fully hers though, her singing melody and rhythm are entirely different from what Rosé was going for, she poured a lot of work and individuality into this track. What do you guys think about this revelation?
  10. I actually always loved Noise Music in Kpop fairly easily. I Am The Best remain one of my fave Kpop song ever, 4minute's Crazy is iconic as hell, SNSD's Catch Me If You Can was love at first listen back then. Truly I never had a problem loving noise music, and this current generation of Kpop is delivering quality Noise Music most of the times as well. I enjoy How You Like That a lot even if it had to grow on me a bit. Hyo's Dessert is amazing, Everglow's Dun Dun is honestly such an flawless bop, even Nature's Oopsie My Bad is great, and Irene&Seulgi's Mosnter is now a classic. There are some I don't like though, like Loona's So What is pure trash dumpster fire and should remain forgotten, but mostly, I always loved Noise Music, and I still do nowadays. I don't think there was a drop of quality at all, the quality output feels roughly the same as it was with the previous generation of Kpop.
  11. While HYLT and Ice Cream had to grow on me a bit (but I still liked them at first listen anyway), this one is love at first listen, I absolutely love Lisa's rapping verse (as usual, she magnifies any BP song with her rap verse, a queen), but, and apparently that's a controversial opinion, I absolutely ADORE the chorus. It fiercely reminds me of Icona Pop (I Love It and All Night come to mind here), and yes, I agree that therefore this song has a 2010 vibe as a result, and I love it!
  12. Definitely looking like an album! And then, I don't know, maybe she's hinting towards the concept of the comeback song? Who know.
  13. Honestly one of the best comeback this year. I'm love with everything about it, so perfectly executed!
  14. Thanks Sunmi for being brave enough to finally share this song with the world. It's a great and important song, I love and appreciate it greatly
  15. Curious to see what path she's gonna go on now. I really hope this means more JungSis down the line, I really missed them.
  16. Flies and mosquitoes can die in a ditch, I hate them with a passion. I actually respect and love the spiders inhabiting my home because I know they chase and eat those fuckers. I even talk to them and give them names. That been said, I also live in a part of the world where Spiders are mostly harmless and medium/small in size, so that surely helps me in tolerating them. Not sure how I'd cope if I lived in Australia for example.
  17. I rewatched some Miss A MVs recently, replayed BGGG quite a few times, and as always with it as with the 1st time I watched it: everybody grab my attention except for Suzy. Fei in particular, shines a lot in BGGG, and Min shines a lot in Breathe. This isn't a dig at Suzy, I think she can have a lot of appeal as an actress, but as a performer, I felt she was always outshined by her three groupmates. Sadly the story unfolded differently. Fei in particular is such a stunning visual indeed. A different kind to Suzy's "pure & perfect" visuals, Fei instead has very "womanly" visuals. She deserved better for sure, they all did.
  18. Surf & Be In Love (but mostly Surf) definitely make up for Not Shy being lowpar to me. The album is solid despite its weak title-track. It's ok, I'll listen to Surf on repeat instead!
  19. Not a huge fan of Not Shy, literally the first time an ITZY comeback song disappoints me, they had a perfect score thus far. But it's ok, because I'm jamming to Surf instead, which is honestly such a great track! The album is pretty good and solid, and that makes up for Not Shy a bit for sure.
  20. Not sure when that day would happen, but we finally here, at last an ITZY comeback is disappointing me. It's not utter garbage, but it's clearly lowpar compared to previous releases, and it's a shame. Maybe it'll grow on me though, but it's very heh to me at the moment.
  21. Damn girls, what is this mass departure, so sudden! Yen, you've been part of this team for so long, and gave so much for it. You're amazing and I hope you're thriving in life! Sofs, guess you tried double-timing but modding is more your style now, go fly high girl! Jay, aww I'll miss you as part of the team, and I hope you'll still be around. And Eshe, I never worked with you, you joined after I left the team, but I only heard amazing things about you, and your talent and skills surely helped the team plenty, I'm sure of it, so thanks so much for everything. Thank you all for all of your work, I love and miss y'alls, and wish you only the best. Awards Team forever the best team, always in my kokoro
  22. It's definitely cringey and nowhere near as good as Jopping was. But I don't hate it still lol.
