I'm so curious what genre this album will be. Since The Shower was added last-minute, it kind of just feels like a bonus track, similar to Voice Mail for Modern Times. I wonder if she'll go with an upbeat title track since she may be promoting on music shows. So many questions!

So the second teaser will be released on the 16th apparently. I want one every other day though!

I'm most concerned about how this will affect IU personally. I mean, she did say this recently: Click here to view the Tweet I'm afraid she'll become even more reserved and withdrawn considering this is the second hate campaign she is experiencing. I know she's a strong girl, but before 2012, she looked so comfortable and outspoken during interviews and variety shows. But these past 3 years, you could see how timid, shy, and awkward ( well she was always awkward, but even more so now) IU is when on camera. This is not the case only when she has a close friend, like Lee Hyun Woo or Yoo In Na, with her. She still speaks eloquently, but just her body language seems tense a lot of the time. I just hope she's ok and doesn't close herself off.

I hope they do sue!!! It's fine if the there was truth to the controversies they're bringing up, but most of those are outright lies. It's funny because she's still friends with most of those people she was allegedly a "sly fox" to (minus E, but she did apologize), yet netizens are stupid enough to believe Pann posts without looking at the whole picture with their own two eyes. Also, it's just comical that they bring up things from 4+ years ago (ironically the same stuff they brought up in the 2012 scandal) because there's nothing recent to hate her on. Pleaseeee, at least bring in some new material if you want to bring her down and not the same shit over and over again. It's pathetic. Ok, I'm done.

You can tell those netizens are trolls because the comments don't make sense in the first place. Apparently everyone knew about their relationship because it was so obvious, yet Dispatch only reveals it now despite them dating for 2 years and IU being a top celebrity? Second, she didn't start dating JKH directly after the twitter scandal, but 1 year after. Lastly, how can Dispatch comment on knowing they were being careful for 2 years, when their original article stated that IU and JKH had been dating since March of this year lol. If she revealed her relationship from the get-go or hid it like she did, she would have gotten hate regardless. It's sad that IU and Taeyeon seem to have very dedicated antis. I understand why though because they are not only popular but also have the largest individual fandoms among female idols as well. Whatever. Looking forward to IU's teasers this week!!

I'm just confused because early this year, Loen put out a statement saying that for her album, it would consist of songs not just by IU and Loen staff, but also from outside sources as well. Squishy also pointed out that this album is self-produced, but not all tracks are necessarily self-written/self-composed. So does that mean it's possible Zion. T or Verbal Jint have contributed to her album, like many here were speculating before? Lol I'm over-analyzing things because there's no album news yet and I'm bored. TT

I still think negative comments will die down with time. All idol dating scandals have had some sort of initial backlash, other than Yoona-LSG of course. Seriously, that was like the perfect couple in Korea's eyes. Sulli-Choiza and Taeyeon-Baekhyun were the worst, unfortunately. Laughing at journalists beginning to dissect her lyrics though. Like assuming Leon was written about Jang Kiha? Do you guys think that ballad IU previewed on IC will be the title track?

I don't know, but based on the translated comments and tweets from our Korean-speaking friends on twitter, reactions seem to be alright though? Of course there are some gross or negative comments here and there just like any dating "scandal", but for the most part, it's surprised but supportive, similar to LMH-Suzy. I still think the best reactions came from the LSG-Yoona news though. Sorry if I'm coming off as too optimistic. I just think that if IU had to be caught dating, this is the best scenario. Not an actor or idol, especially with all the "level" talk in SK and what happened in 2012.

Am I being too optimistic thinking this won't affect her? When Suzy first started dating, JYP's stocks decreased too but later stabilized after Koreans got over the initial shock and accepted their relationship. I think (or am hoping) it will be the same for IU, which seems likely with the comments translated so far. She has an artist image now and that 2012 incident helped to filter out the delusional male fans. Plus, she has a lot female fans backing her up now. I think if anything, the public will respect her more for her music as well as her honest and quick confirmation to the dating news. And I think JKH is actually the best choice because he's not an idol or actor with crazy fans + he has a good background. Anyways, now I'm just waiting for the MV teaser!! At least we know it was filmed today, so can we expect her comeback end of October then? Edit: Also, someone stated that her dating news was to cover up some big government scandal, so maybe it's not YG after all.

She was signed end of Nov. I hope she gets renewed as well. I read that their sales increased with her back-to-back successes in Producer and IC. I don't know where I read this though.

I agree. I also thought it was a solid album and my favorite of the solo releases by female idols this year so far. 'I' was good, but I liked Stress, U R, and Gemini the most. I think her songs will chart well too because they are public-friendly and Koreans like her voice. However, I'm most excited about IU's album ofc because she's my UB and it's entirely self-written and self-composed (probably arranged by that new loen producer) and that's like a whole other level for me. Regardless of the result, I'm already so proud of her that she's able to do this as a young female in a male-dominated industry. I don't really care that much about charting, but for this album in particular, I want it to do well because it's her own work.

I'll never understand Loen's timeline. Wasn't this album supposed to be released last Spring? I think end of October-early November sounds about right. Why do I feel like they're going to release her album the same time as Zion T or other well-known digital monsters? lol I wouldn't be surprised since they never seemed to care about clashing with other artists. But why Zion T of all people?

Gfriend are such cute IU fangirls. I love when female idols name IU as their role model or are a fan. IU and guitar is all I need. Makes me more excited for her comeback!
