They had to recast Siwon's voice after the first episode of Skip Beat, because it wasn't mature enough, which will forever amuse me. Even if the dubbing was annoying and some of the plot/directing decisions were weird, I still have a soft spot for that adaption. Donghae was fabulous as Sho, and even though I'm not sure they'd still cast Siwon if they had known Ren is supposed to be a sparkly Japanese-Russian-American blond-haired green-eyed fairy prince, it still gave us one of the greatest Siwon gifs of all time...

Siwon for Helianthus I also hope M&D take the D&E route and perform a different track next week. Silhouette would be highly preferable. But I'd kinda miss seeing them dressed up as Hogwarts' most fabulous Hufflepuffs.

1. SJ-M Songs After A Minute, Destiny, Fly High, It's You, S.O.L.O. 2. SJ-M Mini/Album Break Down is the most solid for me, even if there are a few tracks that I skip. 3. SJ-M Title Tracks Break Down, Super Girl, Perfection Still don't understand why SM didn't do the logical thing to piggyback an SJ-M release of some sort with Guest House, when they had the full group to work with. It's not like they have a history of elaborate promotions with SJ-M, either. Now, their unofficial leader has enlisted, half the group is going to be promoting/touring with D&E and KRY, Siwon's got a ton of movie press to do, and then the focus goes back to SJ for 8jib. *grumbles* At least Zhou Mi and Henry have already gone solo. Poor Gunhee. A perfect embodiment of known internationally by K-pop fans, nugu in Korea. Teuk's "he's my friend" is all kinds of adorable.

This is Siwon's latest Instagram update. If you're ever looking for the perfect definition of shade, please bookmark this. Shade is subtle. Shade requires no names, no specifics, and no overt ugliness or insults. It's barbed wire wrapped in sugar. It stings for weeks. This is shade of the highest order where Kangin is concerned. Siwon doesn't need to name names, reference anything concrete, or point out what Kangin did wrong. But the implication of what Kangin didn't do is unmistakable. To paraphrase the definition of shade from Paris is Burning, Siwon isn't calling Kangin ugy--but he doesn't have to, because Kangin /knows/ he's ugly.

I think he's an above average idol rapper, who gets bonus points for actually writing his own verses and keeping the sweg to a minimum. His vocal tone is inherently appealing, which also helps. I prefer him as a singer and dancer, and because he's a pretty well-rounded performer, it eliminates the feeling that his rap breaks were tacked on specifically so he'd have something to do. He also isn't a try hard who caters to the lowest common denominator or stereotypes--disses, lyrics about black or club culture, braids, an overabundance of chains, grills, etc. He has his own style and it works for SJ most of the time.

Groundhog Day -- They both woke up on April 1st (check the dates on the bedside clocks). They're living the same day over again, throwing a different party, and not quite managing to get the girl.

We have three members serving right now. It feels weird. At least we're getting YeYe back in a little over a month. So, Disney is doing a live version of Mulan. How do we make this happen?

We'll never know what goes on behind the scenes. Certain members need/want public approval more than others, and that's reflected in their behavior, and I won't pretend that a few of them backtracking on marriage talk isn't completely hypocritical. Keeping quiet around the wedding was one thing, and I get that the members are in an awkward spot in general where relationships are concerned, but this... It just feels like a cop out. Ming didn't get the quiet enlistment announcement that Yesung and Shindong got from SM, nor did he get a statement that SJ already said goodbye, like Shindong did. I'd like to think how this was handled reflects his personality, but who knows. He's married, enlisted, and off the radar for 21 months. There's really nothing left but time to see how this all pans out.

I'm hoping the relative silence from both SM and SJ about his enlistment is what Ming wanted. But it's still a little disappointing.

I know for sure that LIVSM's efforts included C-ELF and I-ELF, but where those I-ELF are from, I'm not sure. He still seems to be okay in Japan? I mean, his support tag wouldn't have trended worldwide if he'd really lost the bulk of ELFdom. His antis can go eat buffet's worth of foodas far as I'm concerned.

Use anything you'd like!!! An appreciation thread is a fantastic idea--thank you!!! The amazing thing is that it's C-ELF and some I-ELF. While it's regrettable that LIVSM's letter was used to fan the flames at the beginning, she really has stood by him, and C-ELF in general have been amazing--and as one of the hand banners says, his strength. This was clearly a work of love. And I hope he knows how very much he is loved.
