You do understand that there's a difference between "talk about" and "reveal"? If a reporter asks about them, he may answer the question without revealing too much and quickly change the subject. There won't be any critical info about this group disclosed at the press conference. All of you are foolish for even expecting a mention, let alone a reveal of the group.

It's not going to happen. He's not going to just reveal the group as an afterthought to something else, at a press conference that's not even about them. Not unless the girls are also going to be participating in the show (2 survival contests in one). Their reveal will be elaborate and have its own campaign, whenever it happens.

If he's going to say anything, hopefully it'll be a passing comment about the current number of members so that we can infer whether Eunbi has been eliminated or not. Maybe a vague comment about when they'll debut.

Doesn't matter. If the damage is real, that's all that matters. If YG starts to promote/expose the group before debut through a reality program or whatever else and Jennie gets huge backlash due to the rumors, then she should be eliminated. Doesn't need a valid reason, the public disliking any member is already enough of a reason to drop her. Shouldn't be too hard. Take the best one from future 2NE1 and 2 more from auditions, add them to the list of contenders. Only the candidates who are the most appealing to the public should make the final group.

I don't think so. Maybe a Mix&Match season 2/survival program to act as a filtering process for the members actually will be necessary. That way, the members with dirty pasts will be exposed and they can be eliminated on the show so that they won't cause problems for the group down the road.

Iljins are a hot topic among netizens lately - particularly the idea of celebrity iljins. Definitely not the best idea to put Jennie back out there right now. YG is already waist deep in scandals this year.

Eunbi is definitely not in the group anymore. She might still be in YG, but she's at least been transferred to a different project. Maybe some sort of band, like YG's Jaurim or some kind of jazz-pop band.

Looks like YG is getting all of its remaining artists' comebacks out of the way in the later part of 2014 so that the first half of 2015 can be all about Big Bang and the rookie boy groups. CL's solo album will fit somewhere in there too. I don't see him debuting another new group during that time, so Q3 2015 sounds about right to me.

The fact that YG passed up on every opportunity to show them this year should be taken as an indicator that they're not coming anytime soon. At the very least, not before Team B, since they actually have hype to capitalize on. If none of the girls are included in the upcoming comebacks from YG (presumably EH and Lee Hi - we already know they won't be involved with Psy's), then you can completely forget about them debuting this year. Speaking of Team B, everyone is blaming them alone for the rumored delay to Q3 of 2015. But I think WINNER had something to do with it too. YG probably wasn't planning on having them come back until like a year or more after debut, but since they slayed harder than expected, they'll probably start working on their comeback as soon as they wrap up their Japanese tour. Just putting this out there. Since Jaehyung is a K-Pop Star alumni, maybe JYP wants them to have their debut stage on an episode of K-Pop Star like 15&. I'm sure he could arrange it since he's a judge on the show and it would be ideal for exposure because the show gets better ratings than the weekly music programs. The new season will be airing around the time they're expected to debut (early 2015).

So is Cecilia semi-confirmed or are people just guessing? I'll check this group out only if she's in it. I'm disappointed that she's not debuting with 6Mix so I hope she's in Cube at least.

^YG said that they'd be promoting in both countries simultaneously for a bit, their Korean promotions will probably wrap up after the first or second week of September. Afaik they only have one Japanese tour date in the first half of September (the 11th). Go ahead and get your hopes up then.

If there's anything to this at all, I wouldn't expect anything to be revealed until about 2 weeks ahead of the concert. September is already going to be full with Winner's promotions, PSY's comeback, Mix and Match and Epik High's album. Not saying that YGE can't manage it all at once, but I think they'd wait to reveal the girls when less stuff is going on so more of the focus would be on them. Once all that stuff is out of the way, maybe he'll start revealing the members in early-mid October.
