I thought about that, but then I found out that there were only 2 new contenders before Hongseok joined as a late addition in the middle of filming the show. So I'm thinking that Chanwoo must be of some potential value (at least from YG's perspective). Because otherwise, if something had gone wrong with Jinhyung, the entire M&M would've been a bust. Like what if Hongseok never joined, and Jinhyung dropped out in the middle of the competition? YG wouldn't put all his eggs in one basket like that.

Well... Just putting this out there, Lydia was spotted (and photographed) out with Mix & Match trainees recently, so it's possible that other members of YG Family will be participating in the show in some way. That doesn't mean that the girls are likely to appear, but maybe it makes it seem less impossible?

Don't feel bad about it. He's already 10x more useful to this group than Donghyuk and we haven't even heard him sing a single note yet. ROFL

Hongseok seems to have everything going for him at this point. Can supposedly sing, speaks English and Chinese, not a sexual predator, never beat someone to the point of hospitalization, doesn't look like Bobby's failed clone with a missing chromosome etc.

I'm optimistic about Hongseok. At least he's not one of those kids that never sang before becoming a trainee. He seems to be serious about singing, so that's reassuring.

So basically he's telling us and the potential new iKON members that he'll always treat them like outsiders, and that they don't deserve to celebrate the group's future successes because they weren't with Team B during WIN? Very subtle. This kid is a real piece of work. Did he already forget that he's created by a company just like the others? He ain't shit yet and already has the celebrity disease. I can see the T-Ara sized bullying scandal coming from a mile away.

I believe something similar to that was the plan that YG had outlined for them at one point (he kinda started it with Jennie and Lalice's vids), but he never followed through on it and SM got to it first.

That's what I mean. Jennie, Taehyun, Jinhyung, Bobby... B.I too. Had he not been snatched out of the cradle by YG, he would have become some kind of *iljin overlord. He has that rambunctious, aggressive energy, plus he's a spoiled rich boy - basically a born bully. Even as a YG stan, I can see why some people think that the company "houses trash". *Next username? You think?

So he shamelessly and blatantly lied about his mom to make people pity him? And lied again about being the "only male YG trainees" when anyone can easily find out it's not true? Special Snowflake Syndrome? If I were one of those people who fell for his crocodile tears on WIN, right now I'd be questioning whether I should actually be charmed or repulsed by this manipulative sociopath... YG sure is recruiting some sketchy kids lately. :\

When YG's first attempt at the hyping the group in 2012 didn't get the kind of response he wanted, he couldn't figure out how to fix it and decided to just bide his time until an ideal opportunity came to debut the girls. But it didn't happen and the situation for them in 2015 is not looking any better than it did in 2012 - it might even be worse actually, so YG may have shot himself in the foot with that decision (or lack of decision). If they had just debuted when they were originally supposed to, they would have had the spotlight entirely to themselves for 2 years, since all of the new girl groups that debuted during that time period were flops from nugu companies. They would have easily been top tier by now or at least where Girl's Day and A Pink are. But next year, they'll be in the mix with Red Velvet, 6Mix, Cube girls, Woollim girls, Starship girls, TS girls etc etc. The Jennie rumors have not gone away (they still come up in every article about the girls) and will blow up even bigger whenever they do debut, especially now that people are in a habit of criticizing YG for housing "iljins". Plus, YG's own artist roster has grown significantly since 2012 so it's not like it's going to be easier to find time to fit them in.

Lee Jookyung is a popular JYP trainee, and please let's not discuss it any further than this. It pains me how gullible you all are.

^Lol @ that shit-stirring. YG never directly addressed the girl group in any statement about M&M. The fansite who wrote that article just added their own opinions and assumptions about the girl group into an article about M&M. It literally has no more validity than any of the posts in this thread. Also from the same article: SOUNDS LEGIT

He'd better be talented. The group literally depends on it at this point.

I'm hoping we were wrong in assuming that Jinhyung is the ace and that Hongseok will turn out to be the talented one instead. I'm not sure I want Jinhyung in the group if he's going to contribute to YG's trashy reputation.

If YG was banking on him being the one then LOL. He's going to end up forced to add another extraneous member instead.

Welp, he's done for. I guess I'll be rooting for Hongjin or whatever the other new guy's name is.

A Taehyun and Jennie sub-unit would literally be the Iljin Squad. It would actually be hilarious.

^Mine are the exact same. Hongseok +1 Yunhyeong +1 Donghyuk -1 Junhwe +1 Jinhyoung +1 Chanwoo -1 Chanwoo just looks useless to me, I predict he'll up being like Jinwoo except without the visual contribution.

Bro the voting is obviously just for show. The fact that they said it's 'part' of the decision is a giveaway. That basically means they can consider the votes if they feel like it or completely override them if they don't. Ultimately, the lineup will be decided by YGE. The voting is just there to get people invested in the show and so that the viewing fangirls won't feel powerless in saving their doomed oppas.
