And this entire discussion is contingent on the idea that Sungjoo is even in the group, which is not confirmed. Your assertion that Sungjoo is untalented is also unconfirmed and based on nothing but your mislead assumption that YG chooses members based on talent only. Actually, nothing about UNIQ is confirmed except that a group named UNIQ apparently exists. And now here you are trying to tell me that my speculation has no place in this purely speculative discussion which you've started... because it's not confirmed information? Yeah, no. If you must know, my suggestion that UNIQ could be a band is based on the rumors of YG preparing a band from earlier this year (which iirc came about when YG said something about "amateur musicians" on deck to possibly debut this year, along with AKMU and the new idol groups). And my idea that he could be an instrumentalist was just to point out that there are possible alternative uses for a trainee who can't sing (since you've already written him off as vocally useless without anything to back it up. Because you know, it's totally impossible that he wasn't eliminated for being untalented but instead transferred to this project that he was a better fit for?)

A band with one or two designated vocalists, and the others just playing instruments and not singing, does not require the instrumentalists to be good singers. Is the drummer of Cnblue a good singer? Probably not, but how relevant is that when only Yonghwa and the other guitarist sing? And if it's a Chinese band singing in Mandarin, it means Sungjoo would be even less likely to be one of the members that sings.

Maybe UNIQ is a band and Sungjoo plays an instrument. It doesn't matter if he can't sing... if he's not singing.

I already knew they weren't going to debut or be revealed this year, so the only thing I'm disappointed about is that this girl group won't be called UNIQ. I liked that name.

No. This has already been clarified several times. 6 months refers to how long the filming will take place (June-November) The actual broadcast will have 10 episodes and end in November, then iKON will debut early next year.

Junhoe is the main one that could use a stage name because that romanization is going to confuse the fuck out of anyone non-Korean. The correct pronunciation is counterintuitive so everyone will say it as JOON-HO unless someone corrects them. JUNO or just June sound like good stage names to me.

Jinhwan is more of a Kikwang than a Taeyang. He doesn't have the dynamic presence and broader appeal of Taeyang and never will. Not unless he finally hits puberty at age 25.

But if it's true and Eunbi is out, then all YG really did with the lineup in the last 2 years is replace Euna and Eunbi with Jinny and Hana, who are seemingly really similar to Euna and Eunbi anyway? So I don't think he delayed the group to improve the lineup. More like the other way around - he had to bring in replacements due to girls leaving because he kept delaying them.

The writing is on the wall regarding Eunbi.
