Plus, what Jinhyeong was accused of is way worse than what Jennie was accused of. The most violent thing Jennie was accused of is throwing a ball at someone, while Jinhyeong was accused of beating someone to the point where they had to be hospitalized. YG is already waist-deep in scandals and has another guaranteed few on the horizon as soon as they start promoting the new girl group again. I know people will say that the scandals haven't really affected YG thus far, but one day it'll be like the straw that broke the camel's back. And I'm a YG Family fan, so I care about YGE as a whole more than any of its individual groups or my member preferences. When I think of it this way, I'm actually thankful that YG is taking audience voting into consideration on M&M. If the rumors persist and cause real damage to his reputation, he'll get low votes and possibly be eliminated.

Jinhyeong is another Jennie Kim case. When he was trending after the first episode of M&M, what do you think people were finding when they searched? That rumor and comments about him being an iljin. Which means if anything, it's probably gotten even worse. K-Netizens don't care if a rumor is unfounded or not proven. They just take it, run with it and never ever let it go. It's unfortunate that he was slandered like that, but if it doesn't clear, then I kinda still don't want him in the group because of it. Team B was YG's only untainted group before Jinhyeong, and I'd rather not have him and his controversy putting a damper on things when they debut. In that scenario I'd rather take Team B + Hongseok and be satisfied with the outcome. Regarding Jinhwan, I pretty much agree that from an objective point of view, if we dissect each of his individual skills he doesn't really offer much more than Yunhyeong and Donghyuk. But there is something about him. Not sure what it is, but I see what YG saw in him nonetheless. Plus you have to consider the politics behind it as well - you have to keep Jinhwan in order to keep B.I and Bobby happy. That's why he's less expendable than the other 2. Tbh, I probably still would have had him in my lineup even if he wasn't confirmed.

I came so close to stanning T-Ara, glad I didn't. It's a shame what happened to them because they actually have good music for a K-Pop group. I have to like the majority of a group's music to be able to get into them, which is another reason I couldn't stay into Secret + probably won't get into Girl's Day. Not many K-Pop groups have good music, unfortunately. This group will though... if they ever debut.

I have horrible luck with girl groups. Every one I've ever taken special interest in has had issues. Wonder Girls - Disbanded Secret - As soon as I started stanning them, they got sidelined by their company for B.A.P - and subsequently lost all their popularity Chocolat - Most likely disbanded 2NE1 - I became a bigger fan after I saw them on tour in 2012. And then they disappeared for over a year. Iljin Squad - Never debuting I thought about going for Girl's Day after "Darling", but if I do that, they'll have a career-ruining scandal the next day. So I'll spare them.

I always expected Junhoe to remain as the main vocal. IMO Mix & Match was made to find a lead vocal to compliment Junhoe, and it seems like YG had his mind made up on Jinhyung when he started the show lol. Chanwoo was never going to be chosen over him, but YG probably would've considered switching either YH or DH out for Chanwoo if he performed well enough. But now that Hongseok is in the mix, Chanwoo has basically no chance of making the group anymore. Yeah, it sounds Hongseok will probably be one of those ballad-lover types with an ~emotional~ tone, but I hope he sounds nothing like Taehyun.

Normally I'd reassure you that there's no chance of the most talented member being cut but since it's YG I'm scared "Promising vocal skills!" "Sweet voice!" "Powerful voice!" "Attractive voice!" "Touching voice!" ... "A former child actor" Welp. I guess they couldn't even bring themselves to lie.

Junhoe is hella unlikeable, possibly challenging Taehyun. Luckily he's got everything else going for him.

That's always been my gripe with the vocal line and I've seen a lot more people noticing it today. Jinhwan's tone is polarizing and Donghyuk sounds very similar so if you give them both a lot of lines, it ends up sounding like Jinhwan is singing the whole song lol. They need to drastically reduce Donghyuk's lines to solve the problem.

If it's true that viewers' votes make up 70% of the decision, I'm pissed as hell about it. That makes Yunhyung the most likely to get eliminated out of the Team B guys, and it would be a fucking injustice. But moreso than that, it would be the wrong choice for the group. (I'm operating under the assumption that only one of the TB members will get eliminated, if any)

Did anything interesting happen on the earlier part of the episode? I only tuned in as YG was telling them that there would be new members or whatever. Somebody in the IKON thread called that. Makes no difference to me, but I'm worried. From what I understand it's more common for people to be openly gay in China/Hong Kong than Korea, so if he dated a dude and K-Netz get wind of it somehow... Not sure if it this is a good or bad thing. I get that it's a gift, but it seems like it'll just unnecessarily prolong OT6 fans' suffering. Anyway, I'm not able to judge the song yet because my stream was lagging like shit the whole time and I couldn't hear anything.
