Kids should be exposed to differences early, but usually after 5 years old their opinion about lots of stuff (gender roles, race, lgbqt, drugs) is solidified as they are echoes of their parents' mentality, and that set opinion is hard to remodel/break (but it is possible)

right now im in the mindset where i wish i could stay in college forever but i know thats only because i dont live with my family and i dont worry about money lol. if i lived at home i think id be dying to get out

I like how opportunities are always open tbh and you can always switch for a very low price

 

But I can't wait to be done since I hate the program but love the job. Then again I'm planning an applied linguistics master so...

people don't really realize this about koreans, but almost no koreans graduate college in 4 years. girls it takes usually 5-6 and boys 6-8 years

 

 

they take hella breaks from like internships and studying a language abroad, plus the 2 years army for guys. and some people take time off to study to pass certain exams you need for your career or do part time jobs

 

i kinda wish i didnt have that pressure to graduate but the culture is so different. college tuition is super cheap here and everyone lives with their family until their married anyways, so theres not the same rush to graduate
