  1. petitions against "snowdrop" are one thing, but in my opinion to want an entire network to be shutdowned bc of a drama is a bit much anyway, i don't quite understand the problem with history distortion (maybe bc i dont watch the drama that is why i dont get it). if they claim that it is all fictional and not based on real facts it shouldn't be a problem, right? can someone explain to me (in a easy way) why it is a problem?
  2. i guess we'll never know until it happens they could last a bit longer or not. or then last the same time as SNSD. the expiry date in the ggroup usually is smaller than in bgroups so i dont have high hopes. the problem with Twice is that they have no individual promotions (like solos, sub-units, acting or mcing on variety shows). i guess at some point JYP and the girls will have to start to focus on that bc if not once the group disband or goes on hiatus they either will be jobless or then if they start too late getting them, they may not be able to keep up with their fame.
  3. i don't get this fans. all this just bc of photocards and to make it seems that their faves selled more albums? if they are like this why those people are not smart enough to sell the albums by half of the price so that some fans that cant afford the full album price and don't care about photocards that much could buy them? are those fans that rich that don't care about get back half of the money they spent?! i swear that kpop companies need to start to think in another solutions for this (that dont involve NFTs and digital photocards). or get rid of photocards or implant a system that make fans to get only 1 random photocard no matter how many albuns one person buys. for example buying a digital album could get you a code and then the fans go pick it up the photocard in stores or for international fans would got shipped (the price would be included in when you buy the digital album and want the photocard to be shipped) i would also suggested that the digital album could give you the right to buy (for those who want) a physical photobook without a cd (only one no matter who many digital albums one person buys). I am saying this bc i don't like digital photocards/photobooks as much as i hate reading books on pc. i prefer those things to still be physical. But i doubt that any company would change a thing bc they care more about money than about the environmental
  4. Congratulations to him but why all this idols marriage's news sounds all like shotgun weddings?! do koreans don't really know what condoms and contraceptives are?! My comment is not particulary about Chansung (and i am not saying that he dont loves her) but to all idols that announce that they will gonna marry and are having a baby at same time. it makes it look like they are just marrying bc the girl got pregnant and to not look bad in face of society's morality, and not bc they love each other. it is a bit sad. can't we just have normal marriage news without the pregnancy part attached to it?! or then announcement of pregnancy without news of marriage?! (i know that SK is still a conservative country so it will be unlikely that some celeb will have the guts to announce pregnancy and not talk about getting married. here in the Western, i noticed a trend that there is people that first start to live together, then have kids and only years later decide to get marry. In fact, i know many of my cousins that did it like that) or this is a new tactic to force their fans to accept the marriage and not get so much hate?! i doubt that it works. first step would be korean companies stop selling the idols as bf/gf material. i bet that would be more effective
  5. Since this is their own fault, this would be the perfect opportunity for bts scold their own fans but i guess they won't do it Probably too afraid to lose fans and so they and specially hybe/bighit prefer that the fans are crazy and disrespectful to everyone rather than lose money
  6. it's embarrassingly bad but to be frank a lot of idols sound almost like this while dancing without doing playback let's not pretend they don't bc many groups/idols have been criticized by their vocals too
  7. i dont know if this was already posted here but this mv have LGBTQ representation. one comment even says that is not the 1st time bc "seori has multiple times added LGBTQ representation in her music videos"
  8. wtf a bullet in their brains is the only right that these trashes deserved electric chair, for all those rats forgive me for the rude language but with those trashes that cannot be even considered human being there is no other way of going i bet if there was law that threatened them with death penalty or get shotted they would be quiet
  9. do you guys realise this dude is clout chasing, right? kpop fans, knetizens and kim jong guk himself gave him his 5 minutes of fame and now he will never shut up about kim jong guk.
  10. are you getting bitter bc of a clown?! wtf i didn't bc majority of the time i don't even bother to read once i realize the post is about bts. i tend to skip bts debates here. but i clowned the one you tag all of us bc that was stupid af and once again off-topic i would prefer that this thread would die for good that have to go through pages and pages of pointless debates about bts that are not even related to the topic. just create a thread to talk about all this, jesus. is not that hard just called the thread "rambling about bts" or smth like that that is why people hate armys. you guys are annoying af, childish and don't understand the importance of staying in topic bc you guys only care about talking about your faves no matter what. but since you guys probably will continuing with this bs i think i will just leave for good this thread. it is pointless for me now
  11. if there is a thing that both cases of t-ara and AOA had taught us is not to rush to trust the supposedly victim and cancel the supposedly bully. so i hope people are being smart this time and don't take sides. Unfortunately Black Swan is a nugu group so i don't think dispatch or any other korea press media would care to clean anyone's name. in my opinion the group should just disband. i can't believe DR Music still trying to make Rania work when everyone knows it is a sinking ship. how they even have money to continuing promoting is the biggest mystery
  12. it is just me or this thread is getting a bit off topic with the whole talk about bts, grammy, enlistment and sub-unit/solo vs ot7 promotions?! and it is quite obvious bc this thread lately is been quite dead (even I dont know what to post bc i dont follow many groups) no offence but just create a thread to discuss all that or continuing the conversation in your DMs
  13. in the recent years, kpop music trend is not catchy and is only noise (with a word or phrase repeating through the supposedly chorus) which, with rare exceptions, is not my taste at all. so yap, i don't think the major big labels' releases was that great. as per usual is the less popular groups that keep saving it for me i think my fav songs from this year are (by no particular order bc i didnt make my top kpop songs of 2021 yet bc i didn't even listen this month combacks/debuts): - Moon Jong Up - US - AB6IX - STAY YOUNG - Cherry Bullet - Love So Sweet - Dreamcatcher - Odd Eye and BEcause - KANG DANIEL - PARANOIA - KIM WOO SEOK (UP10TION) - Sugar - VICTON - Flip A Coin - RAIN - MAGNETIC (Feat. Jackson Wang) and WHY DON'T WE (Feat. CHUNG HA) - WOODZ - FEEL LIKE - DPR IAN - Nerves (well is not exacly kpop but still) - BDC - MOON RIDER - CHECKMATE - YOU - DRIPPIN - Young Blood - ENHYPEN - Drunk-Dazed - EVERGLOW - FIRST - GWSN - Like It Hot - ONEUS - BLACK MIRROR - TRI.BE - RUB-A-DUM - APOKI - Coming Back - Brave Girls - Pool Party (Feat. E-CHAN of DKB) - LUCY - I Got U - ONEWE - Rain To Be - WEi - BYE BYE BYE - Gaho - RIDE - LeeHi - Red Lipstick - Stray Kids - Red Lights (sung by Bang Chan, Hyunjin) - WayV-TEN&YANGYANG - Low Low - ATEEZ - Eternal Sunshine and Deja vu - WOODZ - Kiss of fire - 777 (B.I.G X 3YE) - PRESENTE also is been years since we had really popular songs that stay in charts for weeks like with happened with 2nd generation groups. i think the last ones it was rollin from brave girls and Up and Down from EXID but those songs was released years before they got popular. kpop songs are getting more and more forgettable bc they prioritise quantity over quality Edit: From top companies' groups, i liked the new DnE album. tho i stan suju i was not expecting to like this album that much, much less the main song bc the description of the main song was "ectric hiphop genre with rhythmic and tropical base, energetic rhythms". so i was scared eunhyuk solo song is really good too
  14. i find the "ending fairy" a bit cringe. i wish it would stop i never understооd from music show it came from, who came up with that idea and who made it popular it was fine in the beginning but now it is getting a bit annoying
  15. i would not called it possessed by the demon like many are claiming bc that is invalidating that there are bad/evil people in the world but definitely the dude must be sick of his mind (aka something in his brain cannot distinguish between wrong and right. that or he was on some kind of heavy drugs), don't care about his own fans and only cares about money that is why he continued the concert and maybe is on some type of cult. unfortunately i saw the videos and it is disturbing af. it really make it looks like it is some satanic cult sacrifice. there is even one video where he clearly saw the fan passed out and he continued chanting a weird melody. being a cult sacrifice or not the whole it is just bizarre. i am not religions so i don't believe in that stuff but i believe that there is crazy people that believe on it and k*ll innocents at the expense of something that don't exist also his apologize is ridiculous and fake like he didn't feel any remorse at all i hope he gets jailed for good and be cancelled and never put his feat again in the industry
  16. imagine if actually it is fanservice bc they will release a song together well whatever is their relationship it looks cute anyway i hope fans and knetz don't bother them with rumors bc that could ruin whatever they have
  17. ins't Call Me By Your Name about a pedo relationship? some years ago i started to watch it bc i heard a lot about the movie but once i realised the main character is a teen (and it looks like a teen tho the actor must be over 18) and the other was an adult (in fact the actor looks like in his 30/40. i don't know the age of the character but if it was to make him look no more than 20 they made the wrong choice bc it seems that the character is a 30/40 old dude) i give up there is no way i would watch a movie glorifying and romanticize a pedo relationship i don't get why it become so popular in korea neither why the movie become so popular worldwide. it's like if people like to watch problematic stuff in a romanticize way. they also made 50 shades of grey quite popular despite the books and movie do a bad representation of BDSM (showing a lack of the 3 rules: Safe, Sane, and Consensual) and their whole relationship is toxic af
  18. i kinda suspected that it is even worse for men. still don't have answers if it is worse for non-white actors or it is the same for everyone but i am almost sure that it is worse bc they already struggle to get roles. But if is like this for young actors (i dont know if she meant young in terms of starting their acting careers or about their age, like minors/under 20 years old bc sometimes there is celebs that start their carrers a litter later), i can imagine that is even worse for older actors (above 30) and even worse for the ones that are really famous that "pervasive belief among certain corners of the industry that gay actors can’t play straight" is true. i remember on twitter people commenting that the British actor Jonathan Bailey is gay and plays a straight character on "Bridgerton" and people was surprised that he and the actress had chemistry and they thought that he was not really gay bc of that. He also said it was advised not to come out as gay by other queer men working in the television and film industry. but are the kids legitimately theirs or are like adopted or even obtained by illegal methods? if their kids are really their own blood, did they had them by having s*x with their partners or did they had them by IUI, IVF or another infertility method?
  19. I see there is some names (that i didn't even know bc most names are pop singers) but still not many But still about my 1st question is lavender marriages still common is hollywood nowadays? and if still exist, is more common for non-white celebs or is the same depending the race? I don't wanna start a off-topic discussion here that prolongs for pages so maybe if some of you know any forum (or even a topic on this from forum) that discuss hollywood artists that people think they are lgbt and are in lavender marriages would be great
  20. so that is why his name is trending on twitter. i though it was a like dating "scandal" or smth like that. thank god i didnt went to check. i don't wanna see idols private areas with his image lately it is kinda sus. he maybe did on proposite and if he did it, he needs to open a onlyfans and maybe stop being an idol bc clearly he is only getting attention bc his erotic image and not bc his music pretty sure there's minors watching his live and that is so f*ck up. like this is on same level as that got7 member and his p*ssy wall i am really curious if this will reach knetz. they will destroying him. he already had a scandal before (that is why he left Monsta X). don't know if he can survive to another one. so maybe he need to start thinking in opening an onlyfans
  21. i know this topic is about idols/asian artists but i am curious: does lavender marriages still happen even nowadays on hollywood?! or is less common or even abolished at all?! i confess that i don't follow much Western actors (tho i still watch Western movies and series) and much less pop western singers (bc i dont listen western pop at all) but i got curious about this matter and if it is worse for non-white (asian/black, etc) artists to come out in hollywood. i have a feeling that is worse for asian actors bc i don't know almost any that are out. besides i noticed that they suffer a lot of racism and it is more difficult for them to get roles so i assume that is harder for them to be come out as lgbt and still get roles and not face more discrimination i don't even know if there is any asian pop singer (that is not from kpop) that is famous but like i said i don't listen western pop so i could be wrong
  22. me neither. i don't understand the hype around iphone/apple. one of my cousins have one and a mac notebook and i tried to use them and was so confused with Apple system. definity is not for me even if i could afforded it. besides iphone cameras sucks compared to the ones from some android phones that are as expensive as a the recent iphone did you guys say the camera of Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra?! i mean i would not spend so much money on a phone but i was impressed with the camera
  23. is not just about jpop idols. the whole channel talk-trash not only about japan in general but many other asian countries. the typical behavior of a right-wing channel and people should report the channel (unless you are ok with extreme nationalists, ethnocentrism and hate speech) i decide to put this under jpop rooms and exposed their hate speech against jpop idols bc let's be honest usually gets more attention than if i would post about them talk trash about other things
  24. i dont know if this is the right room to post this (if is not please someone move it) korean channel trying to put down jpop groups in order to make kpop look good and more appealing. the comment under the videos are disgusting the funny thing of it is that seems that koreans want western validation for their hate to japan that is why they paid this white koreaboo to talk shit of japan. the whole channel is like this. instead of using the platform to bring even more attention to Korean culture, they waste time defaming other people's culture. here's the link for the video: https://youtu.be/BdKdV4EcqyY the song they "reacted" is Keyakizaka46 - Eccentric and it have eng sub on yt official video which it seems that the channel didnt even bother to activate wtf jpop invented the idol system and kpop stole it and kinda improved it a bit this channel also reacted to arashi music video and it was the same thing. it's ridiculous More than never i hope that Japanese companies take down this videos bec of copyrights as they unfortunately usually do with other reaction videos. Meanwhile if you are bothered, I recommend you reporting their videos on youtube and stating that the channel is nationalist, ethnocentrist and anti-Japan Edit: you can also report the channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/channelCKOONY/about) : - Go to the page of the channel you want to report. - Click on their "About" section. - Click the flag icon under the Stats section and select "Report User."
