Not, when people like chad future and oli london still active unfortunately. pretty sure that there is plenty of koreaboo out there i thought at least we had ridden of chad future but it seems that he is back. the dude still paying allkpop to write articles about him as if he is a kpop artist and paying people to create a bunch of fake accounts to write good comments

DSP Media shares that April has disbanded
babyv004 replied to Lee's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
in the middle of all this i only pity the two april members that was added after all the bully mess. but was anyone even surprised with this outcome? the group brand was tarnished already. there is no way they could save the group I said it several times at the time it doesn't matter to me if there was bullying or not because the accused members all showed a lack of empathy about mental illness. everyone (even the girls families) blamed Hyunjoo as if it was her fault to have depression and wanted to have it what i am surprise is that the former april member in kard is not facing any retaliation and being forced to leave the group. i cant listen kard songs bc of somin and there is rumors that the 2 kard's girls have a bad relationship and dont even talk to each other somin it was the only former april member that was smart enough to be quiet. she said nothing as if it was not with her so people eventually forget that she was also involved in the mess to me they could just kick out somin too and add one or even the 2 former april members (Rachel and Chaekyung) or the former kara's member, Heo Young-ji that even participated in the 1st kard mv -
why kpop companies are so obsessed in creating jpop groups lately?! First it was brave brothers that debuted CHERRSEE (that disbanded in 2021) and then Izone that it was a mix of kpop and jpop group. and then JYP that debuted niziu and now YG and Avex?! and also heard that big hit will release one with LDH (that is why that "collab" of hiroomi tosaka with a member of bts) and of course all those produce 101 groups (tho i like JO1 music a lot). the only thing good is that those produce groups at least are not temporary compared to the ones in produce korea i am surprised that SM didn't release one so far. SM was the company that was more obsessed with creating groups to sell in other countries. tho their obsession was more for chinese market edit: I remember that dsp also tried years before with a group called puretty. i don't recall if there is more kpop companies that tried to create jpop groups that looked more with kpop than with jpop

they are still trying after the whole mess with fatou and leia? (tho i shouldn't be surprised. they did the same with rania and this group is literally just rania 2.0 but in my opinion with worse music) what i am really surprised is that there is dumb people that willingly join that company no matter how desperate you are for debuting it's not worth it. it only will make you in debt

with the mess that it is April i hope they will disband and i am quite reluctant about Kard bc of the formal April member too. i can't hear any of the groups music bc of the bullying mess. it's just a pity bc kpop dont seems to have any coed group right now (i thought that we still had checkmate but i found out recently they disbanded after "you" promotions. they was the coed group that i liked the songs the most)

Which male idols do you think are gay?
babyv004 replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Clearly a fanfic that may or not had contain some real facts (like i can see some points of the story could have happened and a true insider heard about those rumors but then invented some things to juice it up) If they had said the group still performed but it was quite visible the tension bc they didn't try to pretend it didn't happen would had been more believable. No company in their right mind would cancel a performance just bc of a fight. Not even if a member collapsed they cancel it (even if a member collapse they still go on stage anyway. only in more extreme cases the member goes to the hospital but the rest of the members continuing performing without him). is like people are forgetting that groups are formed by strangers who are forcibly putting it up together by the companies and not all of them end up becoming besties. some really hate each other and have to suck it up and pretend they like each other in front of fans. But even when the members like each other, they fight too. suju already talked that they fighted pretty bad and they still went performed on a music show and fans could see something was wrong bc the tension was visible -
did bts release any album this year? or at least a korean single/mini album? i swear that i'm not a troll. I'm asking seriously. i don't follow the group and much less bother to check their releases. the only thing i know is that once they got popular they drastically changed their music style and now they keep releasing english music to get try get a grammy or whatever it is. this is probably the reason i don't bother to listen their music anymore bc they basically become western artists knetz are too bother that they didn't get album of the year, as if bts and their label care. like i said their focus now is not kpop and their awards but american pop and grammy. i dont think korean music awards should count english releases at all so i dont see the point of making a fuss over they didn't get album of the year

[PC][theqoo] MAX CHANGMIN [DEVIL]'S FIRST WEEK SALES
babyv004 replied to Aegyo's topic in Netizen Nation
unfortunately it could really be bc he got married but could it also be a effect bc the recently China's bulk buying ban and restricting in kpop idol culture in china?! since in his case it didn't happen the same that happened with sungmin and chen (with fans making petitions and threaten to boycott group promotions) so people thought that tvxq fans was way more mature and was supporting him. seems not. they just left the group silently Nut now i am curious to see what will happen when tvxq will make a comeback but i have a slightly sus that bc yunho's scandal and changmin's marriage, the sales wouldn't be that great compared to before. -
[PC][theqoo] NEW WAY OF SELLING ALBUM RIGHT NOW GETTING A BUZZ ON KATALK
babyv004 replied to soman's topic in Netizen Nation
i saw people talking about it on twitter few minutes ago but thanks for clarify here too in case people here didnt know i think victon's company is in the right path. Given the fact in korea a lot of fans bulk buying albums and then dumped after taking the photocards (well not only bc of photocards but also to enter in fan meetings/fansign and now video call bc of the pandemic), i hope more companies start to do the same but still maintaining the physical albums for the fans that don't bulk buy and would not dumped the album. Companies now should also start to produce less physical albuns bc they will probably sell less and probably digital sales will increase a bit (but not in the same way bc i think you can't cheat the system and buy more than 1 digital album in the same account, right?). i think the members version or Type A/B should also stop for good. just one type of physical album should be good. tho 2 version is not as bad as making ? members versions + a group version -
[PC][theqoo] NEW WAY OF SELLING ALBUM RIGHT NOW GETTING A BUZZ ON KATALK
babyv004 replied to soman's topic in Netizen Nation
i said this in this forum in those news of nct albums being dumped inside a box on the side of the road after taking out the photocards at least some company is trying to chance something but i still prefer a physical photobook rather than digital so i still prefer the way i suggested of buying albums through a physical store would almost end and you would have sites that would let you having options to choose (and of course it will be more expensive if you buy with physical photobook) i also still wish that kihno albums work in a different way bc they dont work as much different as digital downloads. Like, it would work without a specifically app (that you use to download the files). you just plug in by the usb input or in the headphones input (it should have the 2 options and it should work in the pc and phone) and any music player would detect the files and you could listen them. once you safely remove the kihno the files will not be on the phone. the reason for that is that having to download songs it takes up space in your phone. so annoying that is why i liked cds and i expected that kihno would be a new substitute for cds like they came to substitute VHS. i thought that kihno would work more as a usb pen that stored files rather than just providing a link to download files of course if people want it, they probably it will find a way to rip off the songs from the kihno or then the kihno could also provide a one time use free link so that people could download the files if they want it edit: i confess that digital downloads with digital photobooks and photocards makes me less willing to buy albuns pretty sure that i will just either listening them in free platforms like yt, spotify or ilegally download if i dont find the songs (like for example in jpop, tho lately is more easity but still some companies dont have their songs on spotify). so if this start to trend maybe we will see a huge decline in sales and more people just listening in free plataform rather than buying digital songs. let's not pretend that people only bought physical albums bc of the photobooks and photocards or maybe the digital sales will increase bc of obsessed fans want their faves to win so bad that they will make everything so that happened. what you guys think it will happen? -
give her some weeks and she will be in underwear does that stream site also allows nudity even if it is just showing the b00bs?! It's her life. she owns nothing to the fans after she stopped being a idol but if i was a fan i would sell/donate everything about her and the group and pretend that never stanned. so yap i kinda understand why her fans are in shocked and disappointed But i have to say that after this it will get really hard for her to find a normal job when she get old and her body is no longer attractive for the horny dudes. i watch some youtubers that had worked in adult industry and all of them say that no normal job accept them bc of their past and that is why they become youtubers and work on its own/be their own boss and this is in US so imagine in a country like korea and i bet it will even worse for her to get married if she want that for her life after stop being a bj. so better she make good money now and save it a lot bc once she get old she may need the saves

i remember of seeing shindong (that is the producer of a lot of nugu and rookie girl group MVs and even dance practice/performances) doing similar moves and even dancing while recording does it become a trend lately after he start to do this kind of filming?

Jae calls Jamie a 'thot' on Twitch, is called out by Jamie
babyv004 replied to gam3 bo1's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
i don't tend to watch gaming streamers (i don't even use twitch. who have time to watch someone's videos for more than 1h even more if the stream daily?! only crazy people that dont work at all. edit: i forgot is more the kids/teen that are watching instead of study or socialize with friends). at the most i occasionally see some streams related to the sims on youtube but i usually prefer the recap/highlight videos that they post rather than watch the whole thing so i didn't know any of that. but coming from men don't surprise me -
Jae calls Jamie a 'thot' on Twitch, is called out by Jamie
babyv004 replied to gam3 bo1's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
was not enough that he mocked kpop idols and his fans (he had no problem when he was making money from the industry but now that he left he called it kidzbop. i swear former idols are so ungrateful), now he is mocking his allegedly female "friend" by calling her a "sl*t" this dude must be wanting to ruin so bad what is left of his career that is why certain idols are not allowed to have social media. once they get out you see how trashy they are. but why is always the ones that become streamers? is the gaming community so trashy that they need validation from them by letting out how trashy they are?! -
I feel like this is a bit of a episode of “wanting to say something but turns out you end up saying something else” i get what he was trying to say about idols being normal people (aka idols are not gods) but the way he said it just came out so wrong. and the other members tried so hard to shut him up and the dude just couldnt read the room at all. he should just have been quiet for what i read knetz are coming for him bc he adressed the girl as "that girl" instead of "sunbaenim" and not so much bc he allegedly called her "ugly" like international fans are taking away from the conversation to me what rubs me the wrong way is that it seems that he tried to out the girl/girlgroup name and encouraged fans to try to figure it out. edit: another thing i don't understand is why they start talking about that theme. by the translations i have read it seems so out of nowhere suddenly he said "Oh, there was something when I was in school. That's right, when I was in my third year of middle school, someone transferred. And there was word that she was a celebrity." so maybe he did had bad intentions since the beginning. maybe he confessed to the girl and she reject him or they date and she dumped him. who knows

i am pretty sure if there was a korean in a chinese group and if he/she did the korean new years greeting, chinese netizens would be pissed, saying things like that if the person is promoting in their country should behave like so, learn their culture and do the chinese greeting. in the end, there is no win-win situation for foreign members but in my opinion if they are promoting in a country they should behave at mostly accordingly with the culture of the country they are making money, as a signal of respect. tho i also think that occasionally they can teach a bit their fans about their country culture

i heard that April contract ends this year. do you guys think that they will renew or DSP will disband the group? seeing that DSP is still trying to clean April name i am pretty sure they will counting promoting the group all i wanted is a Rainbow and kara comeback not april. we all know that is sinking ship. they will never recover for the bullying allegations even bc everyone knows that they are truth

not people defending him he could just say that "no, i will not play kpop music, i dont wanna anger anybody..." and at most say smth like he didn't like his idol life and now want to stay away as far as possible from kpop. he could even had exposed kpop industry if he wanted, but no, he decided to trash down his fans and idols' work. he didn't need to offend other's people music tastes and must less his coworkers' work. it's like some here said: men are always putting down what girls like and only find it cool if become a trend between men. and i agree he is being hypocrite bc he (and every former idol that putted down kpop) made their coin bc of kpop fans. he wouldn't have a career without kpop fans those former idols saying things like that is like slapping fans in the face. i bet a lot of them already regretted spending money on those idiots edit: i forget to say: he could even said that he dont like kpop and only did it for the money and easy fame. he would look more honest and less a bitter hypocrite It seems that some people here don't get the problem is not him not liking kpop (it is his music taste after all and he have the right to not like it). the problem to me it is two things: the way he said it and him being a hypocrite bc it was not a problem when he was making money from the "kidsbop"

are they are counting the years in a wrong way to make it seem like that the groups are older?!

since i don't know enought korean so i cannot say if the translation is bad or if this is knetz excuses. what i know bc i consume k-beauty, is that some products when they are translated to english, have the word “whitening effect” when actualy means "brightening effect". the products that say “whitening effect” don't actually have any ingredient that could possibly change anyone's skin color. what they do is helping lightening/fading your skin dark spots caused by acne scars, sun burns or dark circles but they will never change your skin color as a whole. All that, you also can get in western skincare products and pretty sure they use the word "brightening". so it is possible that just like in korean skincare products they also translated it wrong. who is translating this to international fans should be more careful with the words they use bc it can sound problematic saying this, I think the whole history of Koreans want to look pale/white because of who is tanned tend to works in the countryside (which means the person is poor) it is problematic and in general koreans are obsessed in look more pale/white instead of not touching in their skin color (for example their make up foundations are really light and they don't have many shades for those who actually like of their skin color and i even heard that in stores they try to sell to the customers the lightest shade that don't match with the person skin color or even the constant whitewashing that korean/asian fanbases do to their celebs) or in being ok if they end up getting a bit tanned. but in other hand i agree a bit with this: "Aren't overseas people obsessive over skin color more? Then they wouldn't go tanning and such. They think tanning is more healthy and that's their beauty standard. I bet you they would take more issue if we [Koreans] say they are so obsessed with tanning" as a pale western girl and being ok with that even bc if i get in the sun i don't get tan but more like a lobster, i get really annoyed when people (like from my family) say frequently things like i look sick/death and need to get a tan to look more healthy. like i said i am fine with my skin color. i dont need to change it by going to tan salons to get an indoor tanning or use products to get an artificial tan. in fact tanning is bad for your skin, even worse if you use products to fake a tan. i just need to put a bit of sunscreen and get in the sun by about 10 min to get vitamin D, dont need to stay in the sun for hours to get tanned and possibly get skin cancer or premature skin aging. also, i dont know if it is true but i heard that using thick layers of sunscreen while tanning can block sunlight and cause a lack of vitamin D production in the skin. so what is the point of standing in the sun for hours? to me it is just ridiculous both cultures obsessions in trying to change the skin color that they are born. Being ok with the skin color you borned, or if you end up getting tan or getting a bit untanned (bc you are not exposed to the sun as much as you as before) it's fine, what is not normal is being obsessed to the point of using products either to fake a tan or to look more white. Tho, in the end it is you body so do as you want. but don't be an hypocrite calling out people when both cultures do it edit: pretty sure that i will get skulled and clowned bc of my opinion about western people obsession with tan but i don't care.

[NB] SM unveils girl group unit 'Girls On Top'
babyv004 replied to Stan-tastic's topic in Netizen Nation
"5. [+8] This actually makes me think that NCT's system is going to be expanded to include all of SM, and that kind of scares me. Actually, it really scares me. Will they make co-ed units too? Am I the only one taking this too seriously?" i hope they do. i am waiting for that co-ed unit the only thing that we had (at least that i am remembering now) was this but this unit only had one song sm could adventure and also try to create a permanent co-ed group. maybe a co-ed group coming from them would do better than a co-ed group that came from a not that popular company. and that would set a new trend in kpop i need more co-ed groups that would be popular and last longer it is just a pity that knetz and fans in general don't like the idea bc they think it would originate a big *rgy in the dorms or that the girls will date their oppas (not that the fans of girls would be any better. the way i saw the ggroups fans acting on twitter i can say that they are worse than the bgroup fans). But barely they know that there are people with different sexualities and it is possible that in a co-ed group no one feels anything remotely sexual or romantic for each other edit: why i am being clowned?! i bet that it is the ggroup stans that didn't like to hear the truth -
[KN] Netizens talk about the final 22 candidate couples for Dispatch
babyv004 replied to Youahaen's topic in Netizen Nation
who created this list is a the person lives in delulu land Irene x Anchovy (Eunhyuk) WTF but i am offended that they used the word "anchovy" instead of his name. they didn't do this for anyone besides eunhyuk Yoona x Donghae do this person still thinks they are in 2nd generation delulu ships?! they don't even seem to talk/be friends this ship and rumors that they dated started bc people mistaken f(x)'s krystal and amber as yoona and donghae when the girls walked outside SM building i do remember that there is pictures of that but can't find it now. and what the hell is that all ships with IU?! is she dating all of them at same time? Anyway pretty sure that the couple that dispatch will reveal is an actor/actress x actress/actor or actor/actress x idol or then a athlete x actor/idol they almost never reveal idol x idol bc no one cares besides their fandoms. as long as they don't take any celeb from the closet is fine tho i dont think is nice either to reveal a straight couple that maybe dont want to be in the public eyes yet. it should be the couple revealing themselves bc they want it and not the media forcing them to come out -
thanks for the explaining ❤ i think i understand it a bit better now like i said i didn't watch the drama and for the few that i have seen about it, it's not my cup of tea (i don't even understand why disney+ decided to stream that as their 1st drama ) but i was not understanding the issue bc i thought that if they claimed that is all fictional and not based on real facts would be not a problem. but it seems that they based things in real facts (and worse they are glorifying the bad guys of the real story making them the ones that are right) so they cannot use that as an excuse it seems a mess and i don't think there any possible fix (like they claim that the next episodes will do) so they should just cancel the drama at this point
