Why do some people hate Sunggyu's Woollim Princess nickname? Isn't he called a princess just because he's cute and he acts a little princess-y? Is it actually like a political statement among Woollim-related matters or something? I don't think it's that deep.

I might have to love potato and Infinite quietly from now on I was in it for the music but I can't enjoy the music right now.

lol at those who thought my post was geared specifically towards only one post. No. It's from years of being in this fandom as well as seeing my friend who's loved Infinite for years as well be sad. Just because I don't put everything out in the open doesn't mean that's everything. And it's not always only about unfair line distributions. I'm not blind to not see that sunggyu always gets the bulk of songs in title tracks, but I'm also not blind to see that other members also get compensated in b-sides. In no way am i excusing Woollim for shit they have pulled, but I'm not arguing with anyone about that because it's beating a dead horse and doing so doesn't change anything. I'm the "take whatever you can get" type of person so excuse me for not joining hatefests against Woollim.

 

Anyways, I've had a night's rest and so far I feel better than yesterday. I don't regret all I've said here. My thoughts and opinion have been demeaned and brushed away more than enough. As a human who values respect, I don't accept that.

 

Thanks again for being kind to me here. I just have too many expectations of considerate, decent behaviors that I get disappointed when I don't see it. So I do apologize for being a bit sensitive on that part.

I understand that. :( It is very painful. Sometimes I feel like there is no escape for the Kyustan because even people who like him so often say he is ugly. And he always gets scripted the same way. I just hope he knows how much the ones who love him are devoted to him.

 

And forgive me for the abrupt change, but somehow it seems relevant here: yesterday morning I had my first Korean language class, and "Kim Sungkyu" was the first word I learnt to write <3

It's ok. There's only so far people can be pushed before they snap. Kyu deserves every thing he has gotten because he has earned it. If people cannot see that usually he and Woohyun get more equal lines but this time Woohyun was dancing - well then I don't know. And I love his voice. I love his performance. He puts things in his voice other singers just don't have and people respond more.

I have a friend who is mad for classical music. She just despises most pop and she will say so, no holdbacks. I made her listen to Sungkyu live. She told me pretty brutally but clearly moved "his voice is not very uncommon. The emotion in it, however, I have rarely found". I get why Sungkyu is so popular, why he has so many stans outside the fandom, and no one who supports him should ever be ashamed.

 

Yess the emotion he puts into his voice. It's really something special. But they don't care...

 

I'm sad because it feels like all of his antis are in the fandom and there's just no way to get around it. If it were nonfans, it's easy to ignore but it's not easy to ignore ones who are in the fandom.

Oh wow I had not seen that thread. :( I will say this: please do not let others ruin your enjoyment of Infinite for you. I do not want to tell you to stay if it will cause you pain but if you come here you'll always know we all love Kyu no matter what. Much affection chingu.

 

 

I'm so mad for him   Where is the respect? Where is the love? Is he not a part of Infinite? Does he not deserve anything? Does he deserve to be thrown into a dungeon to never see light again until people are satisfied?

I am very sorry you feel this way. The whole "line division" controversy has snowballed beyond all recognition and brought a lot of awful stuff with it. I do not get the whole attitude. I stan Sungkyu but also Dongwoo so believe me, I understand the frustration when a favourite member gets less exposure - but so what? Woollim screws up a lot but they are not evil masterminds assigning work where they will. Sungkyu goes to a lot of varieties because he gets asked, and he gets asked because people really like seeing him guest/MC, just like people really like seeing Myungsoo act. People seem unable to understand they get cast and invited to things. They cannot just get foisted on them. When in In the Heights Dongwoo got the bigger role, that was a clear example of "people do the things that the person in charge thinks they should do, not that Woollim masterminds" but clearly people don't get it.

I just feel like I'm not allowed to say anything and it's really frustrating; also the fact that people just are not bothering to have an open mind. You can see the example in that one thread about favoritism in companies. I thought I was being reasonable and I wasn't even talking about what Woollim does but then that happened and suddenly I'm being blamed for a crime I didn't commit? I never said that Woollim was the most important company ever and that I didn't care for the other members not getting exposure. Ask me and I will tell you what I think and feel about it. Don't just assume and spin lies just to match your own twisted mind. I need to speak to reasonable people.

 

I'm sorry but I'm really close to just leaving. Last year was bad but this year is really turning out to be one big, bad virus that I don't want to catch. My first year of stanning Infinite was the best thing ever. No one said anything bad and the only people the fandom fought were other group fandoms.

Being sunggyu stans these days is just hard i want to give up and just stan Infinite quitely

I don't know how you guys deal with it, but it feels like being a Sunggyu stan in this fandom is a sin. I can't have an opinion because I'm a Sunggyu stan and I get words I never said put into my mouth because I'm not bashing Woollim 24/7 for the public to see.

 

I'm so mad for Sunggyu now. For those who just takes jabs at him as if he's Satan himself. I don't care if you want to shit on Woollim, that's not Sunggyu's fault. Don't demerit him. He's earned his spot on variety shows thanks to The Genius. I can't fathom how people can't understand that. It's really that simple. People like him. Is that really so hard to admit?

"Inspirits" are never going to happy unless Sunggyu is removed from the group. That's the source of all the problems along with Woollim.

I think he might be the first Infinite member to wear it.....Oh, how I wish to see other members wear it too.....I think Gyu would look good with choker. But damn.....our Yeollie suits it so much.

I actually really like Sunggyu's pants during the showcase. He's worn them a couple of times so far and I wish I had a pair for myself even though I don't have long legs lol.

It's not the microphone. I think it's the camera recording quality because in the middle of The Eye, the quality just pretty much dies.
