Hey welcome Gise!! I've thought about this a lot and this is what I've been telling myself: All of the older girls that made Twice were ready to debut now. They all had (at least two of the three of) the confidence, popularity, and talent to succeed. If they had to wait two more years, they would be older and wouldn't fit in with the next group of 2000+ liners. As for the maknaes, Chaeyoung made it in over Somi because she is the best rapper (and has confidence and decent popularity) and therefore arguably a necessary component of the team. Imo Dahyun fills the role in Twice that Somi would have (vitamin and lead rapper), so Somi's addition wasn't necessary. Tzuyu made it because she was by far the most popular member. Somi still has a lot she can improve on when you think about it. She is an extraordinary performer but like Fei said she has that habit of looking up while she performs so she can use this time to work on little things like that. More training will also give her time to perfect her vocals, rap, and dance AND give her visuals time to develop. I think it's ultimately gonna be for the best, we just need to be strong for her and let her know we'll wait for her!! Trust me it was really hard for me to reach this level of acceptance I was ready to call Twice's maknae Somi my ultimate bias tbh BUT now I get to call JYP's next girl group's new and improved quadruple threat vitamin Somi my ultimate bias <3 Imagine how pretty she will get in two years ahh

The boys? I heard speculation that this group might be co-ed do you think that could be true? Nevermind I didn't realize Yongju was a boy lmao but still what do y'all think about that possibility...

Yeah ever since she was eliminated I was like "ok so she'll be the wild card" but then y'all started to make me feel like I was delusional so I never even said anything and ahhhh I'M SO HAPPY

In the title can we emphasize that she is TWICE'S Dancing Peach or whatever other title y'all choose I'm still so proud and in shock that Momo is in Twice y'all!! I woke up the day after and the first thing I did was check the Internet to make sure that it wasn't a dream.

ALSO sorry for kinda spamming but one last thing I think the reason why Dahyun made it over Somi despite Somi having more talent in the vocal and rap departments is because Dahyun is older, ranked higher in the polls, and a huge stan attractor/money maker that someone else would have snatched up if JYP hadn't taken this opportunity while he had it Every single decision JYP made makes sense if you think about it with a clear mind.

I'll admit I'm bitter that Dahyun made it over Somi and I hate that this show did that to me it's so fucking toxic Dahyun seems like a great girl and I feel so bad I'm trying hard to get over this feeling!!
