Is everything about you? First of all, if you're going to come at me, at least name me. Being passive aggressive isn't going to win you any points. Secondly, this thread is, and has been for a a long time, a thread about pretty much anything gay related in the world but with a particular South Korean focus. Yes, we've talked about idols and who we think they are, how they might identify, what they might've been through, who they've been with, etc, however; we've also talked about those in the korean pop business who might treat them like shit because we're concerned with their well being as well as our own seeing as quite a few of us don't particularly feel the need to support someone who chooses to treat someone like us (korean idol or not) as an insult or a disease. Thirdly, your words go right back to you. If you don't like a homophobe being dragged in a thread about gay people, all you have to do is ignore it. This is the internet. Lastly, homophobia is not rampant for you. Ask the 27+ men in Chechnya who have been murdered within the past few months and ask them if homophobia is rampant for them? Oh wait, you can't, because rampant homophobia was what fucking killed them.

Did JB's homophobic ass cry himself to sleep after taking those pictures? I'm sure his fragile self was shook at having to come even close to imply something other then 100% heterosexuality.

Can anyone recommend songs that sound similar to Red Velvet's "Automatic" or Ladies Code's "Galaxy"? I love the moodiness of them both and I consider those songs to be among the best that KPOP has to offer.

You have nothing to apologize as far as I'm concerned. I wouldn't call Jaehyun a homophobe myself as I reserve that title for assholes who have earned it like Zico, Siwon, and Got7's JB, but I'm also not calling him progressive either because he's done nothing to earn that recognition. The problem I have with Jaehyun is the problem I have with the majority of NCT is how they can't decide what side of the line they're on. There's this constant intention of fanservice only for them to follow up with constant nohomo-esque backtracking. First they start with how hyung is so attractive, then they follow up with how weird it is that they said that, or how nice someone's body is, but then comment on how uncomfortable the situation is. I don't know if it's discomfort, insecurity, or homophobia, but what I do know is it's irritating as hell. Here's a few examples of Johnny and Jaehyun exhibiting what I'm talking about And don't get me started on that gametime fuckery where they made the two losers wear couple t-shirts and act as a couple because apparently the idea of two men being a couple is embarrassing and hilarious. When it comes to NCT, I'm pretty much only there for Ten.

Adding to the Taeil discussion, he already has a history of being kind of messy when it comes to gay things. Receipts. And before his fans try to take a page out to the Trump Supporters handbook by screaming "It's fake!" like certain other fans (I'm looking at you JB defenders), there's also audio to go along with it. More receipts. Overall, your mileage may vary, but for me it's not a good look.

Speaking of ambiguous LGBT music videos, here's one that might fall under that category: It does seem like a self-acceptance/coming out video, but there's nothing official. Either way, it's pretty nice.

Yup. He said he was "traumatized" by the fact that people thought he was gay. http://onehallyu.com/topic/140687-naverkrn-4-things-show-hoya-got-traumatized-because-people-actually-thought-he-was-gay-after-reply-1997/

Jin is the only one I'm 100% certain on with the others having varying possibilities.

With the tragedy in Orlando, it's nice to see positive things happen to LGBT in other parts of the world. http://beyondhallyu.com/culture/korean-mothers-tell-people-at-seoul-pride-i-love-you-just-the-way-you-are/

You know what's just as annoying as shipping? Incessant bitching about shipping.

I can't speak for anyone else, but the reason I believe Jackson might actually be straight doesn't have anything to do with stereotypes but rather how forward he is about it that makes me question his potential gay/bi-ness. With the likes of Heechul, Key, or even Jo Kwon as of late, you can see how far they've come with who they are, and yet there's still a strong hesitation anytime anything LGBT-related comes forth that makes them hold their breath until the topic goes away. With Jackson, however, there's no hesitation and no nervousness involved. I can't tell if he's genuinely fearless as someone who is LGBT, or if he's fearless because he's heterosexual and knows his fanservice won't really negatively impact him at the end of the day.

You're going to have to provide an example here because unless it's a song that has bisexuality or trans people in mind it's not LGBT-related if it's a song about a relationship between members of the opposite sex. A song that avoids gender altogether is LGBT friendly, yes, because it allows open interpretation to those that listen to it but it's not LGBT related unless it specifically made with LGBT people in mind. "Party (XXO)" by Glam and "Amor Fati" by Epik High are good examples of LGBT songs because they either mention same-sex relationships or are made with an LGBT focus. "All In" by Monsta X is not. At the end of the day, it's up to you as to what you want to appreciate. For me, I'd rather use my energy to elevate, appreciate, and recognize, the acts in KPOP that create with LGBT in mind despite possible backlash. I'm done taking scraps and I'm certainly not going to put clearly LGBT-focused songs on the same level as those that either queerbait or were nice enough not to call me a disease.
-
Believe what you want, boo. Queerbaiting in a music video for a song about a girl may be good enough for you when it comes to representation, but it isn't for me.
-
Feel free to paint it as a joke, but Minhyuk's face says otherwise.
-
As much as I want to reward Monsta X for that MV, I don't think I can. The whole concept or whatever they call it rings hollow given how much shit the other members gave one member for skinship (minhyuk I think?) and the amount of "real man" garbage that flies from a bunch of them.
-
When did he take the apology back? Not defending him, I hate the bigoted piece of shit, but I want to know for receipts purposes when one of his minions plays oppa didn't mean it.
-
Apparently, Exo saved the gays. I don't know what to think.
-
Minwoo was also the one who choregraphed 'This Love' which is made up of voguing and dancehall moves so it would be interesting to know if he was.
-
Correct. It was disappointing when I found out about it because I really liked her but I peaced out once I did.

When it comes to KPOP, I don't believe anyone is an ally until they do something to warrant being seen as one. Given the amount of homophobia (casual and otherwise) that occurs in KPOP, I give credit to the idols who have bothered to take a stand for us and refuse to give shit to the idols that don't. I'm not going to call an idol an ally just because they haven't said they want us executed in town square. Allies: Jonghyun, Chansung, Taeyeon, Seulong, Takuya. and any other idols who has said and done supportive things for us. Homophobes: Zico, Junho, GO, Eli, and Yoon Mi Rae, are what comes to mind.

I really liked it as well. I think the whole FFXIII trilogy has been treated unfairly. Come to think of it, FFXIII was the first Final Fantasy I beat and never quit.
