  1. I am absolutely without words. Football, it's beautiful, it's heartbreaking, it's shortening my fucking lifespan. On Monday I was looking forward to a Barca-Ajax final without fail haha. Man City with the League Cup and possibly FA Cup and Prem, Liverpool and Spurs UCL Final and Arsenal/Chelsea both with a shot at the EL and United sitting prettily at 6th. I think I'm just going to cry myself to sleep now lol

  2. No teams legit want that top four spot, all these clubs “fighting†for it are an embarrassment tbh.

Wolves and Leicester should get the top 4 spots with City and 'pool. Only Spurs kinda sorta deserves to be where they are, barely.

Also, madness at the Leeds and Villa game. Leeds letting Villa score because of a wrongful red card but the players seemed to not like Bielsa's fair play there, nor did John Terry appreciate the gesture lol.

  3. Thankfully, if you beat City and give Liverpool the title, top 4 is definitely within reach. Yeah I'm sorry but seriously, with how things are, it's still possible to stumble into a CL spot. If you beat Chelsea next week (which I think is likely since Chelsea are absolutely hopeless atrocious away from home) then that probably takes us out of the running.

I saw that Solskjaer's called out the mentality of some of the United players. Relatable af lol, idk who the guilty parties are but I would guess they'll be hard to get rid of? That's how it is for Chelsea at least. Our squad and board in a somewhat similar situation tbh, not good enough. At least United can buy players this summer though.

Lol, literally no matter what happens in the City/United game I'll be sad, but overall a loss/win is better than a draw which gives Liverpool the title and us nothing whatsoever. United fans everywhere are divided into two camps right now regarding whether a win or loss is more satisfying, but I'm leaning towards Liverpool hate over City hate. United just lost five away games in a row so it's a stoppable force meets movable object with the Chelsea game.

The old guard (Smalling, Jones, Young, Valencia) who are supposed to carry the torch of our "glory days" didn't play much of a part during Ferguson's years and are past it or too injury prone in Jones' case. Pretty sure Pogba and de Gea are thinking of Madrid and PSG at the moment respectively. The younger/new guys all have a weak mentality in game and tend to falter whenever the going gets tough. We've demonstrated immense spending power but recruitment has just been awful compared to City. I have no idea what goes on in the dressing room or who the bad apple is, but it's going to take more than a few transfer windows or a new manager to fix the negative culture at the club (it's been 6 years of this malaise already?). Also, our wage structure is awful and Poggers and de Gea all want 400k+ a week which is ludicrous, and it's going to only get worse with new transfers knowing we're desperate. Lol, either way gonna be a great few years up ahead I can just tell.

  4. Solskjaer, has been appointed as Man Utd full-time manager on a three-year contract. The news I been waiting for as a Man Utd fan. He fully earned and deserve that contract.

<3 <3 <3 I've got so much love for Ole, the past two games haven't changed a thing. He needs to be trusted with some money for the transfer market though, but Woodward must know that his hail Mary of an appointment was one of his most appreciated moves and he can't back away now.

As an OG of this thread nice to see this thread is still thriving. Not even going to lie, barely kept up with football for the last two years and since Chelsea is sucking and I have no time anyway, the incentive hasn't been strong. I have become those people who only tune in for the World Cup.

I sometimes get in a lull of activity in OH (now is one of those times actually) but always come back to this thread. Long may it live!

  5. Anyone here still alive to talk abt what is happening with JH rn

The whole debacle with the hidden cameras is sick and vile but it seems JH didn't participate in the main crime of creating/sharing those hidden cam videos...though he likely knew about it and didn't do anything to dissuade the perpetrators which is bloody awful. I realize I'm biased about the whole thing since I definitely didn't have this much benefit of doubt for the two arrested men but I'd like to know the whole scope of JH's involvement before being definitive.

  6. Honeymoon was bound to end eventually but this was probably the worst game to end it on. Still some positives to take from this game though - we were attacking and created a lot of chances. An off day shouldn't count out the rest of the season, even if it's an uphill climb from now on.

  7. i'm talking about including the past weeks too

i feel sick thinking they could easily be 5-10 points clear, but now it's just 1... ughh rlytearpls.png

this derby against Everton is going to be F(AHFH#$*J(#$)FK)#$J, though. They're definitely going all-out for this, considering Pickford and Origi ripped their hearts last time laugh.png plus, the April game against Chelsea already has me trembling :3

Lol, true. As a Utd I still have nightmares about letting slip that 8-point lead very late in the season to give City the title. Now I obviously won't wish you any luck, but I'd never bet against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby. Chelsea finding form again is kinda scary, but Spurs absolutely bottling it against Arsenal today maybe tells me it's more them than anything.

Edit: And as I finish typing, Lloris saves an Auba penalty lmfaoooo. I'm constantly on the end of instant karma.

Edit 2: "Bad news for Southampton. Alexis Sanchez is injured" - BBC. We score 2 in 6 minutes after Dalot comes on for Alexis :|

Edit 3: Very, very happy with the nervous win, but Pogs really, really should've let Lukaku taken the penalty there. If he missed, oh well, but if he scored that'd be 5 goals in 2 games and a huge confidence boost. Instead Pogs bottled it.
