It's just that during that time, with the success of I NEED U and Dope, it's when i feel like he really started to let some of his worries go. I think around that time is also when his parents started becoming a lot more supportive of his choice of being a musician and the year after he released his mixtape (wich i suggest you listening to and looking up the lyrics if you haven't already) and opened up about his past struggles so it lifted a weight from his shoulders and he really just brightned up and let loose. I hope this makes sense. I wasn't really sure how to put this lol but i'm sure that as you go on with learning more about him you'll understand better. And good luck with your backtrack
