why do I feel like this has to do with a current situation? like she's using the movie dialogue to vent her own frustrations about Rania/DRM? DR is the ultimate definition of a joke or a mess, they're like a train wreck that you just can't stop watching. Sometimes I wonder where I find the strength to keep supporting this group.

aaaaand here is the disappointment we were waiting for, DRM messing up once again. Nothing to see here folks move along. Mini-rant I see the girls are updating their SNS' a lot these days with pics and stuff which is nice and everything but I'm not falling in that trap for a second. I won't believe in a comeback until I see it happening. There are never enough excuses with this group and their agency- anyone sitll wanna boycott? Mind you, I'm saying this as a fan.

Did Alex straighten her hair???!! I loved her curls but I'm open to see how she'll work with the straight hair. I like the new looks but I can't help but feel bittersweet, I was getting ready to start a petition or for them to disband any time soon :/ so I'm not really excited, I'm just kinda waiting.... That might not be a bad idea- they could rerecord it and even redo the choreo (make it raunchier possibly) that might make more people interested in them again.

To add to my mini rant from the previous page, none of the big companies would get away with doing what DR is doing with Rania, replacing members here and there, not saying anything. There would have been repercussions from fans a long time ago. I'm surprised no one's replied to my rant yet lol but anyone want to start a petition for DRM? ;)

Mini rant I agree with what most of you said on this page and I have a crazy idea; I was thinking, what if we write a letter asking DR to get their act together or we boycott them (and Rania eventually since they are the only group under the label- sadly this would hurt the girls tremendously but DR has done enough of that and at least with us it would come from a good place). What I realized is, DRM has ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FOR RANIA NOR THE FANS!!! Yes they can always get trainees to replace members and they can always keep the group alive but it is SO UNFAIR to all the members that have been/are in the group because they're working their asses off to dreams off the ground and you can't do your job as a company and take care of them, promote them , keep your promises etc... They are the most incompetent music company I've ever known. Next, they have no respect for the fans! I acknowledge the members work hard to get where they wanna be but the group wouldn't exist with the fans; no celebrity survives without fans. I think DR is taking advantage of the fact that most fans are used to frequent line up changes and delayed comebacks so when they do it, they don't even explain it. Hell, stanning Rania has been a headache-inducing journey for me for the most part and it shouldn't have to be that way. I've learned for a few years ago not to get too emotionally involved with DR/ Rania because of poor management. Not only that, DR rarely tell us anything and they've lied to us since the beginning of Rania, they are completely disrespectful towards us, that's unacceptable and I don't think we should stand for it any longer.

Enough with the 50000 years delays already. I've been so close to giving up on Rania so many times because DR can't get their sh*t together. It's not that hard, jfc.

Warning: Long reply post. Yep sometimes I think she should let her contract with Def Jam expire and then not sign on again. At this point she seems closer to officially debut and have more success with Rania than she did with Def (I say officially because she has yet to do a full promotional cycle with them including MV etc...). Plus she has performed onstage with her group already etc... Oh God, didn't DRM try to do something like that with Teddy Riley? or Ingenio Media? That doesn't sound like a bad idea and I doubt DRM even has the ability to handle something like that, they've f*cked it up every time now. Again?? that's just sad. Is DRM taking any steps about it? I was under the impression that most if not all companies had exclusive contracts where an artist(s) could only be signed with them until the contract was naturally terminated. I've always wanted to make a post about this so I'll just reply to your post- Warning: long read. tldr on bottom. I agree with everything you said but I was thought a group like Rania given their concept had a good chance at somewhat making it in the West (even if it's not the States). I'm gonna Devil's advocate a little bit and I'll explain what I mean. 1. ("Asian artists....Western markets")- That's true but I'm gonna say this mostly applies to North Americans than it does other westerners. Rania has a small but solid fanbase in South America and western Europe, if DRM gave them better music they'd have bigger fanbases there. It doesn't help that the industry in America and Canada is discriminatory against Asians, always expecting them to do something funny, gimmicky, dumb etc... 2.("Girl groups have low chances.....")- Girl/boy pop groups have been coming up for a while again, the only popular groups right now are Fifth Harmony, One Direction, Little Mix to name a few, they could use some competition lol. And people will need to be open minded and stop with the 'they all look alike' and 'why are there so many members' bullsheet. 3.("Looking at artists...roster...)"- The old Rania could handle those expectations- they had the whole package, vocals, dance, visuals and personality. Idk what the the Rania is like but Hyeme, Alex, and Seulji def have an "it" factor about them because they perform with the same intensity so I wish whoever comes into the group can help complete it and bring the group back to the level it was at during debut time. 4. ("Their fanbase is small, only Alex...") you gotta start somewhere lol. 5. ("And in the West, "pretty faces" with no talent to back it up is career suicide.") That's a lie the industry spews out every year, there are so many famous and popular talentless artists in the US, I can't even count. Rania has a lot more to offer compared to so many of them. 6. ("Also, those "Great KPOP sales" are considered flops in the West.")- We know it's because a lot of westerners have their heads stuck up their butts and will not consider somebody successful unless that person became successful in their own country (ie. States and Canada). I'll never forget that time Psy went on Ellen, homeboy didn't even get to introduce himself and she went straight into her 'show me your funny little Asian man dance'. Little did she know he is a very well known and respected artist in SK. Any artist with a solid career regardless of where they found their success, wherever they go should get respect (but we all know that's not gonna happen). tldr; Maybe all it takes is for the right artist(s) and the right circumstances to break that door open. Rania had a 'western' appeal at their debut time so If they get back to square one (which they are at somewhat), and meet the right people and if DRM makes the right moves, who knows. Alex posted a picture of her and Hyeme and hashtagged 'Hex' what do you think? instead of Aleme lol. Ikr??? there are so many kpop artists with foreign passports and they are just fine, what can't DR figure out? why can't they help Alex? Jeez...

I'm genuinely curious, how can she b e under contract for two different companies/ labels? or is she even under contract with both labels? or just one? I'm very confused, can anyone fill me in on how that would work? And where is she getting all the money for those flights? Korea to US (or vice-versa) tickets are NOT cheap. If she is under contract with Def jam, it will be tiring for her to keep going back and forth. She wasn't getting anywhere with them anyway, not to say that she's gotten anywhere with DRM yet but just saying.

I have some trust issues and I'm genuinely so disappointed Alex trolled us :( either that or someone hacked her twitter also....I'm leaning more towards the former because they did announce Rania was gonna have a comeback around early June. Also I'm thinking she may dropping it still just not today or tomorrow or the day after but some time in the near future because she never specified when she would leak it. She just said after a 1K RTs, that could just mean that we have a chance to get a sneak peak vs. never getting one at all. Knowing DR music (and sometimes business minded people in general) will use doublespeak to lure their audience/clients/whatever in. I'm thinking 2 things will happen from this point on 1. She will not come on her SNS to avoid fans until the day she (or whomever) releases the songs and say she was sooooo busy OR 2. She will come on her SNS and ignore all fan inquiries acting like nothing ever happened and then leak the song 1 day before the official release date in a 'Look we're giving you what we promised you' - type bullsh*t statement. Idk if y'all can tell but I'm taking this to heart lol because I don't like to be betrayed. I know how DR music is already but idk how Alex is. I'll follow and see what happens because for all you know I could be reading way too much into this and it may not be what I think at all lmao.

I agree with everyone that it would be weird to keep the name 'Rania' with the new members, I see they have 2 options: 1. how about if DR presented them as "Enter new name here" previously known as Rania. 2. Or they should release an annoucement that 'Rania has 'disbanded' since all OG members have left and thank you for sticking by us and them all these years blah blah blah etc... but here is our new girl group 'so-and-so' featuring ex-Rania members "Nu3".' But then with that there would be some kind of backlash about the makestar donation to which they could respond that once they've made the money, if you donated, you could request a refund and they'd give it to you. If you don't request it than they don't pay it back. I don't know all the ins-and-outs of the industry but does that sound like something that could happen?
