Yes, and no... this forum has a prehistory.
The short version:
Back in 2006 Johnny To created AllKPop and the 6th Theory Forums. Many K-Pop fans gathered there, and after some time there was a thriving community with thousands of posts - many representing hours of research by active fans.
The he decided to revamp the design, and in the proces he deleted all posts.
The community was pissed, but it was a new site, whith no real competition, and we all know shit happens sothe community tried to reconstruct the lost material, and moved on.
Then he did it again.... and again people was pissed off, but gritted their teeth and carried on.
And then again!
This time a group of active users decided that they would try to build their own forum, this time noncommercial, independent, and build on free Forum Software.
Thus Hallyu8 was born.... usually referred to as H8, to express the common hatred against Johnny.
Soon all the superfans, who did not want to loose their material again, was gathered here. This drew in many more,and in a short time  it became an important gathering place for fans of Korean (and Asian) and music (To a lesser degree drama, IIRC the drama fans had already established themselves on soompi)
 
With 3 days notice it was all over....
The head admin announced that he would be closing the site, and that we had 3 days to copy our stuff and get out.
 
Panic ensued, but luckily for us (and the whole asian entertainment fan community) a heroic group of users established a small emergency bulletin board, which they used to create the foundations of what was to become Onehallyu (Oh!)  - as I recall it, it took them about a week (+/-) to get the current site up and running. Soon the old H8 users had found the place, and a steady stream of new K-Pop fans gravitated towards this fine combination of a serious, and yet very diverse, collection of threads. (The contents of a lot of artist threads soon rivalled fan-sites concentrating on one artist, and gave the benefits of a much larger community)
 
Now, in the present, we have a big and active community, with members representing vast amounts of knowledge and skill, making this a very nice and informative place, which happens to be a great place to talk to likeminded friends.
 
Now, our duty to ourselves, and the founding fathers and mothers, is to keep writing friendly and illuminating posts - and to engage in a spirited discussion of all things K-Pop.
If we do this, Onehallyu will stay relevant for along time to come.

Nice to see the beautiful gifts miss Park Bom has recieved - I really, really, (...et c.) misses her voice, and I hope that we soon will hear it again - and that we will hear more about all of the Ladies.

Just here to pay my respect to a great performer: Song, music, dance, humour... what more can we want? Psy is back in fine form, and I like how he uses his advanced age (for a K-Pop star...) to make a point; One may be 80, but that is no excuse for dozing off into boredom!

TV may not respect talent, but we do - and Dara is very talented.... I hope that we soon will hear her sing again.

For a long time there has not been much to make a Blackjack smile (except for Dara's much expected acting - its good to see her finally getting back to the screen) but now things are looking less bleak for us; Three of them are doing good work.... and I'm sure that ♫⤠Bom â¤â™«  will come back with a bang in the spring - at least it makes sense to promote her in Korea while CL is promoting i the US; Their fans (and style) are so different that they will not compete with each other, and new fans of each of them will want to check out what the other 2NE1 members are doing.  

 

As for YGL I will just have to solo-spazz for a while.... I have tried that before....

and made a note that that was the official video, but its not! But in HD, and only a few seconds off - if you want to use the srt on other editions you could save trouble by using this little script:

- just copy the script text into a text-file in notebook (or another texteditor) and save it with the file-ending .htm and then open the file with your browser - then you have a simple tool for timeshifting .srt files (but right now, on windows 7, I can only make it timeshift forward and not back - but I began using it 24 hours ago so with some experiments I guess it will be completely functional)

 

Do anyone care to comment on my changing of the official lyrics? Did I hear it correctly?

(But the change will make it easier to show to non K-Pop fans -  for some reason my anti-pop friends dont like "meaningless" lines (!! - pure bigotry: hard rock is full of meaningless lyrics!!)

PS: If you want to use the .srt file then use the edited one.... during copying some unwanted linebreaks had entered the text.

I like T-Ara, and have been listening to them since february 2012.
As a Blackjack I don't usually post here (guess last time was a supportive mesage on the old H8 forum...) But during some eksperiments with subtitling (Result: it's not funny to make .srt titles and timing by hand... 4 minutes of video took me 2 hours to text, but now I can make a few that I really need) I made something that could be of interest:

Since you are fans you probably have better texts, and I made a change that you might not like: the "I like this like that" line is changed to: "... I like to dance..." I believe that was the text used - it is sung in english, and was probably transcribed by a korean who misheard it.

 

You can do what you will with the text (copy the content in the spoiler to a textfile and name it something like "roly-poly.srt" and it should work in most players) without crediting me, but please leave the 1TheK copyright!

 

I seldom come here, so will probably not se an answer but if you really dislike my mangling of sacred texts you are welcome to downvote this post to Hill (the Blackjack hell) to warn others!!
