I have not been very active on this forum, but was here from the beginning:
     Becoming aware of K-Pop in january 2012, I immediately joined Hallyu8 (searching for 2NE1, my ultimate bias, I found the AKP Forums, and understood that most of the aktive members had moved to H8)
     H8 became my training wheels for social media.
I have used the internets since they were text-based, and been on message-boards since the late 1980's, but it was in a strictly professional context. So when I got old, it was with trembling hands that I joined a forum for youngsters - but I ended up learning a lot, and spent countless hours sharing the fun.
     Then, on new years eve 2012/13, I felt ready to join YG Ladies - and although I was an 80yo man, they welcomed me with open arms. There, I became part of the hard-stan community, and spent hours every day, breaking the law in several countries (The early K-Pop days were wild - once an admin hacked my computer and began editing an article while I was writing it; it detailed our successful (but highly illegal) quest to secure a setlist and details of an upcoming album, before publication. The admin did not want me to incriminate the site, but on the other hand did not want to kick me out...)
     These early years was a blast, but, as many others, I was devastated when the H8 Admin dumped the site without warning - this was just as bad as the way Johnny To treated the old 6thTheory/AKP Forums - but within 48 hours a group of active members had set up an emergency forum, and a week after that OH! was a reality.
I liked the new Forum, but concentrated my efforts on YGL.
     After a long time with server problems, and because 2NE1 disbanded, YGL shut down - And I felt like my chest had been cut open, and my beating heart nailed to a coffin before my dying eyes...
     At the same time OH! began having server problems and a lot of downtime. All this killed my motivation for making effort-posts, and since the break-down in 2019 I have mostly lurked.
     I made an account on hallyuplus net, and plan to lurk there in the future.
     I still listen to K-Pop (and J-Pop) and are active on reddit - but the subs lack the sense of community found on the old-style forums (one exception: r/babymetal (and r/sakuragakuin) are still the home of old-school fans)
I was an adult before listening to music on a more than casual basis (really liking Frank Zappa through the 1980's) but only became a FAN when I found K-Pop in my dotage - and for that, the memories of OneHallyu and the other K-Pop fanforums will follow me to the grave!

I hope that this site will be archived in toto (with all pictures, member profiles, badges et c.) in a publicly accessible place, like archive.org - apart from nostalgia, this place is an important monument to the days of international K-Pop fandom, before the mainstream break-through, and contains a lot of knowledge that do not exist anywhere else on the (open) nets.

Thank You - to all the Admins, Mods and members, who have worked to make this site a nice place to be for all fans of K-Pop, and K-culture in general.

This site has been a worthy continuation of the traditions from the old Hallyu8 Forum,  where Stans with a strong dislike for AKP and Johnny To, came together to make an alternative to the commercial boards - and succeeded in making a thriving hub of fan-culture.

The new single from ms. Park Bom ('I' - scheduled for 2023-11-22) brought me here... oh how I miss the old days when this thread moved at 10 pages per day...

It's been so long time since I was here, that I had a hard time recalling my password...

Dreamcatcher has already been posted, but if you don't know them you should certainly check them out - Their MV's have long and intricate story-arcs, but functions just as well as stand-alone bangers. (and personally I like that they are buildt on a rock base - I like EDM, too, but sometimes it is refreshing to hear some old-fashioned hard guitar-based rock...)

Youtube is boycotting the danish copyright agency (KODA), so danish music is blocked worldwide(!)

In Danmark everything handled by KODA is also blocked, and as that includes a lot of japanese and korean content (eg: Currently all Dreamcatcher MV's are unavailable in Danmark), so I began using the Opera browser with it's built-in VPN.
I used the chance to go on VIKI and have watched:

Strong Woman Do Bong Soon - (rewatch) - Humour, female empowerment and poop-wine; what's not to love here...

Goblin (Aka: Guardian - The Lonely Shining God) - (rewatching now) - I like the moody romance...

Hotel del Luna - (first time watching) - I have only watched the first three episodes, but am hypnotized by the beauty of IU... If the story keeps the pace, this will be good... I'm reading comments on Dramabeans(.com), but avoiding spoilers I only read entries on episodes after having watched them.

For the last 10 days CL has been uploading teasers on her social media.
