It really feels that this year has gone by too quickly, it's kind of depressing tbh. Hopefully we can all have a fulfilling 2016 though.

Also, seasons greetings to those among us who celebrated festivities, as well as to all else over the conclusion of the year.

I'll close the poll then, since the result is more is less unanimous. SeohyunHallyu it is.

I definitely agree with you guys on that SM has done next to nothing to promote Seo individually. Though generally, it;s something that they lack greatly in. They're very capable in regards to group promotions, though miss so many opportunities when it comes to individual ones; thus one of the main reasons why some have left.

I agree also on the fact that Seo cannot just hold back, putting Soshi first, anymore. She needs to fight for the good opportunities. Even Yoona has many rejected. 

It does seem that they are gradually changing though. Hopefully we do get a Seolo next year.

I voted for seohyunHallyu because we want people get to now abou onehallyu and join us but i also like SeohyunCafe, SeoHallyu, SeoParadise and SeoLand. 

I agree, it probably is the option that fits with what everyone seems to want the best.

So do most agree on an open poll then? If so, then I will put one up. Though it is perhaps unlikely , if it is indeed to be opened then we run the possibility of non-seomates influencing it, especially if it is promoted in the Official Soshi thread. I guess that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just something to note.

I doubt it would be particularly inclined oneway like the award voting anyway. So for the moment I'll put it up; and take it down if the general consensus is against.

I guess it sounds fine if there are no solid alternatives and if it is most popular. 

So people are following Twitter accounts? If so, mine is Nefertari Sone or something to that tune. 

The idea's do definitely seem interesting. I've always liked the 'resident lists' that many artist threads seem to have nowadays. I guess it'd have to be scaled up gradually, it seems that in the D.O thread, they have a plethora of 'games' and activities, of which some look quite intriguing. Overall it seems that that, in conjunction with accounts on other platforms is what best advances a fan community. 

A schedule list would be good also, I guess.

But her C-drama being a hit overthere isn't going to do much for her in Korea though; Rain had such a massive drama hit in China this summer but it's barely known or discussed in Korea (then again he didn't mediaplay about it).  Getting a hit will just increase her stoc as an idol hallyu actor and bank her more CFs and big paying opportunities. That's what she and SM seem to want so I guess it doesn't matter then.She will probably do more C dramas/movies for the pay check. I doubt she will be popular with the general public (like LMH or KSH) but the market is big enough where she can get a decent following. E.g. Park Shin Hye, Kim Woobin and Lee Jong Suk aren't anywhere near as popular as LMH/KSH but they still get a good level of offers and CFs due to their hit dramas and a bunch of media play.

Well no, though as you said it seems that she's pursuing commercial success rather than artistic so I guess it probably doesn't matter much to her. I guess it wouldn't be regardless, though is Rain even popular in Korea anymore. True, though doesn't it depend also on how much more popular it makes her. Or in regards to SM, their Chinese expansion attempts. I hope she only does modern C-drama's tbh. It is doubtful, though I guess we can't rule anything out. True, even C-list in China is better than A-list in SK for the most part. What is it that really sets LMH/KSH above the rest though. I guess it's doubtful that any Korean will be comparable with Top Chinese actors anyway. 

Ahh fair enough, I very loosely follow c-dramas.

About Yoona's drama; big budget histrical/fantasy Chinese dramas rarely flop + plus there are a billion people lol so it will do well. Getting even 1 to 3% in ratings is considered hit just because of the large population size. If it also has a lot of buzz online then that will help it too. Yoona looks out of place in period C-drama tbh; but then again I don't get the hype over her visuals so who knows.

True, though i guess in instance of Yoona, its more about whether or not the drama can establish her. All her Korean drama's flop, so if this one is practically guaranteed to be a hit, I guess that's good. Do you follow c-drama boo? I wish I knew more about it tbh. I think there was a substantial weibo trend about it. I agree, she just doesn't have either a distinguished enough or a memorable enough face for a lead. I guess it depends on how much the Chinese like her, and if they do as much as Koreans. I don't particularly either tbh, I'd say she's pretty though nothing particular.

I voiced the exact same thing but there's nothing we can do about it tbh. With Chanyeol in the lead people aren't really going to take it seriously but at the end of the day the she might gain some popularity out of it so it's not too bad I guess. The Chinese market really loves all that cheesy romcom and don't really care about acting as long as they are all pretty; add in EXO idol playing a tsundere lead and I'm sure it will do well especially online.

 

Hopefully after this she really gets back to proper dramas and trying to prove herself as an actor. I don't mind her starting with minor roles and building her way up just s long as the project is good. I guess it depends on what she wants; if she wants to be taking seriously then she needs to do other things. But if she wants to be another hallyu idol-actress who is commercially successful but isn't respect/taken seriously as an actor (e.g. like Yoona) then projects like Anti Fan are perfect lol.

Let's just hope that she does benefit from it tbh, it does seem that she wants to be taken more seriously as a legitimate actress. Well, I guess it isn't exactly surprising hat the Chinese are like that lol, I mean when FBB is one of your top actresses. I think she'd be quite good in a Chinese period drama though tbh.

Hmm, I agree, though she hasn't had any lead roles in dramas yet, I think she deserves one soon. Though not in one of SM C&C's dramas. I guess it depends on her co-stars also. Yoona's Chinese drama is very different from what she's done before though, I wonder if it'll do well. As far as I had heard though many didn't think that Yoona had or perhaps even now has the visuals to be lead in a c-drama. I think they said her beauty was too modern or something.

True, even small exposure in a market the size of China is good, I just wish that it was in something at least passably legitimate. Many don't seem to generally take her seriously as it is, though i guess it's similar for most idols. Hopefully it will increase her fanbase and opportunities. Does she have quite a few c-fans already though, or are they mostly Taeyeon and Yoona fans? I guess at least she isn't main lead for it lol.

Seohyun is acting in a Chinese movie as the 2nd lead called "So I married an Anti-fan" which will be released around June next year

As what desilvadns said, Seohyun is casted as the 2nd lead role of the Chinese movie 'So I Married an Anti-fan'. She's going to act with Chanyeol of EXO, who is the main lead.

 

Seohyun had already been confirmed to play as Sophie in the Mamma Mia musical.

 

As for TTS, Seohyun wrote the lyrics of the Korean version of Dear Santa.

I guess it isn't an ideal arrangement, though I hope it does well for both of their sakes. Perhaps it might even cause some of Chanyeol's fans to convert to seomates.

I feel that I haven't posted here in a long time, even though I have intended to. Mine person has become rather fragmented as of late. I feel that I should be here much more often; I had planned to comeback in a similar fashion to how I had been prior, several weeks ago, though that didn't work out. 

I only found out about the TTS comeback the other day, and quite enjoyed it. I'd say that, for me, it is arguably the most complete SNSD related release of the year. 

I'm sure that there are many more Seomates here nowadays though. Hopefully we can interact. ~

This is me being selfish but I wish once her contract with SM is up she'll transfer to a different agency and not renew. Because after all SM is the reason why up to now she's not getting any of those solo. Believe it or not. She's robbed.

A TTS one seems possible, and could actually give Seo an opportunity to either cover a song or to sing one of her own. I think Jonghyun has about 8 concerts. So there'd be lot's of opportunities for solo's within TTS.

The 'AGIT' concert thing is something that SM has set up in order to have small personal concerts in the SM coex atrium I think. Jonghyun is having one first, though it'll be interesting to see who may or may not have some in the future.
