But between those two characters....odd choice. Anyways I do think Haruka and Michiru..are the best

I mean in the 90s anime, the senshi all had "boyfriends" or love interests at some point, but it never broke the relationship/bond b/w all of them. Mainly bc these "love interests" were not legit important characters? I don't think adding relationships would necessarily lessen their bonds- could even help them grow as characters, like how Usagi did with Mamoru. That being said, I don't think it's needed tbh, I wouldn't have mind though. I def prefer them to the random 90s guys love interests ...sorry Chad. I also disliked it when Rei was into Mamoru lmao I'm mainly for Venus and Kunzite . I remember seeing that the VAs for Neptune and Uranus was discussing this. Usagi and Haruka had their moments but it's definitely not romantic, even despite the kiss. The VAs sort of said something like it was a mom protecting their child or something. I agree it can be very odd but I also think it's also pretty special (again in a platonic way only). I MAY START WEARING MAKEUP?! My skin is way too sensitive but if it's for Sailor Moon..hmmm Also ! And yeah, I'm pretty sure about that senshixshitennou stuff.....I would have liked seeing it way more developed. Crystal had attempted it but since the first two seasons of crystal wasn't the best, it fell flat. It's true, the two first seasons of crystal is lack luster but I loved it anyways because it was Sailor Moon! We're both biased in that way haha DARK MERCURY?! Pretty much, the second season was the second session of the first season iirc. With the new huge improvement and budget, we received season 3 with sailor Neptune and Uranus. NOW, we're getting season 4! look forward! Understandable, TONS of people have a huge bias for the 90s anime (can't shake it off and continues to compare it to the original manga and to crystal). People have to understand that the 90s anime is not the original, as long as you know that, I'm all good. I love Neptune and Uranus together too (they're my otp) (I'm surprised it's your only same sex love couple tbh) , I know the mangaka expressed her desire to develop more things in the manga but had no time due to its demand at the time. I love the manga tbh. I did grow up watching Sailor Moon but I cannot remember lots of it from the 90s anime besides distinctive characteristics. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the 90s anime like most people but I do prefer Crystal (mainly season 3) and the manga a little bit more. I wouldn't rule out the manga so easily, keep an open mind- it is a classic for a reason. The 90s anime is fun and good but it CHANGED A LOT of things. A lot. The manga does has it flaws, but so does the 90s anime and Crystal. Please enjoy all! I never bothered with the live actions but I'm tempted to watch some of the musicals.
