  1. So lovely . Is it fanmade? SMH. I bet there are a lot of SNSD anti fancafe as well.
  2. but what about isabelgarcia961 lol she won't survive this What I didn't know about that. What do they say (aside from 'stay away from oppa')?
  3. Someone already subbed the first episode in english on Youtube (and SBS will probably block it very soon) Edit: Episode 1 subbed on GoodDrama Drama subbers are freaking fast lol I just woke up
  4. So I sort of "watched" the first episode of Heirs (raw) and I didn't like it, which doesn't surprise me because the typical rich guy/poor girl plot isn't my thing and Shin Hye's acting bugs me. I'll wait for the subs but I'm pretty sure it won't change my mind. I hope there will be more Lee Bona/Krystal. What about you guys?
  5. Then that will definitely make maemae's work easier ^^ Hehe no thanks, like I said I like f(x) but I'm not a "stan", just a casual fan. And I'm happy to help ;)
  6. Really? I swear I thought I saw a "official picture only" rule in the HoMin OTP thread. My bad then. That's cool, it'll be easier for maemae right lol. @maemae how are the pics I linked earlier?
  7. I didn't post this one because I thought it was a fantaken picture? I don't know because I'm not a f(x) stan but it looks like a fansite tag.
  8. Oh I see. Is it okay if you cut out the pic so you can get a Lunstal pic?
  9. This is the original link http://www.newsen.com/news_view.php?uid=201309261319180810No full translation yet.
  10. Yeah seems like some netizens think that's the case. I read on RealSamchon's twitter that the president's public welfare plan is broken and she apologized. Of course I'm not saying it's true.wtf is wrong with the forum
  11. I smell a goverment scandal cover up lol The video doesn't look natural tbh. Almost like a set up. (Just so you know I'm not trying to excuse Sulli's unprofessional behavior, I just thought it was suspicious)
  12. Ah, yes, patients undergoing cancer treatment can choose to discuss with a nutritionist, but I didn't because I started to get my appetite back quite quickly, and from blood tests my radiotherapist said I only lacked a bit of iron. I still don't understand how it is related to my paralized vocal cord? Thank you for replying honestly. Seeing my doctors is a bit hard because specialists in Paris are busy and from what I've understand my case is not their priorities, they litteraly told me that it happaned to many patients as well and I just have to just accept that the nerves and neck are permanently damaged, period. I had to ask to be send to a speech therapist because I couldn't speak at all, otherwise they would have just sent me home, they were so pessimistic it was frustrating. And that's when I started to improve a lot on my talking voice that I hoped full recovery was possible. Maybe I'm just in denial and still trying to find a way to be cured even though it's not possible. But, I completely understand what you're saying, I should ask them so I can get a clear answer. Silly me. Thanks. ((hug accepted))
  13. Ah, my speech therapist is really understanding. I told her I hated my new low-pitched nasally voice and we have tried to work on that. Still no improvement on that part, I still can't speak with a higher tone, only air comes out of my mouth lol probably because it's too much work for my right vocal cord. Before leaving for Paris she showed me exercises to do so I can practice alone. I can't wait to see her again. Since each case of dysphonia is different, I can't find someone with the same situation as mine so I'm sort of clueless. And you're right, there's alway a way to connect with music. I was also thinking of learning to play an instrument. Anyways, thanks for replying, your message was very comforting A nutritionist? Yes, there are nutritionists where I live, I used to see one when I was younger because I was overweight. I'm a bit surprised..how can a nutritionist help me?
  14. Thanks for replying. I am indeed french ^^. Doctors, well, all they said to me is that I shouldn't hope for full recovery because the nerves that have been permanently damaged. They sent me to a speech therapist to exercise so I could improve the quality of my voice. Right now I'm not seeing any specialist as I'm recovering from the radiotherapy . About the singer who was diagnosed, is she singing w/ her current condition? It's fine if you can't answer me, it's a bit complex I understand, tbh I don't know that much about dysphonia either lol. BTW I enjoy reading this thread even though it often gets repetitive *cough*jessica*cough* Aww now I feel bad because you were sad because of me.
  15. I can walk Just the upper left side of the body (face, arm and shoulder ect) is partially paralyzed. The rest of the body is fine ^_^ It's okay if you don't know how to answer me, my case is a bit..hard lol. And your Sica icon is flawless. Your SY sig too xD.
  16. Hey guys, sorry to interrupt (jk nobody's here). I usually am a silent lurker, but I was curious about your opinion on my case, please? This is going to be a bit different from what users normally ask here. So..... Because of a brain tumor recurrence a couple years ago I have dysphonia: my left vocal cord is paralyzed, so is the left side of my tongue, as well as the left side of my soft palate and some more (ect, basically the left side of my body has been damaged). When it happened I was 17 and waiting to get my second neurosurgery but the tumor grew too fast and someday I woke up feeling weird and I could barely speak (very very airy, harsh voice) or pronounce words. I couldn't cough or sneeze, and had a short breathing. Soon after that I had successful surgery in Paris, but doctors said my left vocal cord (+tongue ect.) was forever dead and I shouldn't hope for recovery. Then I stopped going to school I was too discouraged tbh. Few months later the tumor came back (fml) and had a third neurosurgery, then right after I started vocal/speech therapy to help me improve. I worked extra hard on the breathing control, power of the voice, pronunciation, vocal cord strength ect and improved A LOT. I can hold a laid-back conversation for about 15-20 minutes, but my voice is still low-pitched, nasally, and ofc I can't sing at all. The right vocal cord is doing all the job, really. Then (because, that tumor is still here lol) I had to quit therapy to go to Paris for radiation treatments (fml lol), also knows as radiotherapy. Now I'm just recovering at home. I'll start speech/vocal therapy again once I regain strength. Here are the things I want to ask for the people who knows about vocal pedagogy: 1) My doctor said if I wasn't satisfied with my improvements I was allowed to get botox shots on the vocal cords to help me. I didn't get them because I thought I still had a chance to progress by myself since I'm young. How reliable is that procedure? 2) Is it safe to keep trying to sing (nothing too challenging ofc), with just one working vocal cord? Should I just deal with it and not do anything that would cause more damage? As insane as it is, I want to be able to sing again OR at least be able to hum simple melodies, just for myself. You don't realise it until you lose your voice but music/singing is such an important part of your life. Without it it's just depressing (plus I used to be part of the school choir as a soprano). 3) Is my voice going to age faster than everyone else because I only have a vocal cord left? 4) Do you know any singers with dysphonia? 5) Any advice for my paralyzed tongue? I can no longer speak the foreign languages I learned at school because of the pronunciation. 6) Am I that hopeless? lol Ughh awkward, now I feel kind of embarrassed. *blush* And forgive my bad english.. Thanks!
