  2. Dont worry what you said wasnt bad.

He should read what is said about him on the bashing thread then he could talk about this "Malicious Intent" bull shit. Acting as if we are mass negging his video and hacking his YouTube.

This is a place where you can rant and talk about your feelings.

Try actually reading what I said -- I don't mind people criticizing my reviews at all, and certainly support everyone else's right to express their views.  What I was responding to were people projecting malicious intent onto my reviews, and associating feelings and motive to my words that is absolutely inaccurate.  Thus, I explained how I don't actually have any malicious intent when reviewing any artist's music.  The only person talking about playing the attacked victim card, is you on my behalf in your above comment.  Which again, is another person projecting and assuming intent and views on my part that I have never expressed, and don't even agree with.

In other words, people are putting words in my mouth -- I am correcting them when the words put in my mouth do not reflect my views, or anything I have ever actually said myself.

And I'll add again, I actually like Twice a lot, and have stated that multiple times in my videos and on my social media accounts.  I have also pursued trying to secure an interview with them on my channel, which I think international Twice fans would enjoy seeing.  So I find it hilarious that people who have never even met me or talked to me online somehow try to act like I'm some Twice basher, where there is extensive evidence showing the opposite that is easily available to everyone.

    *Sips tea*

Preach! I find it funny how when it comes to other groups like when using auto tune if he doesn't like it he'll just say it was a style choice and that it was cool that they added something different but not much a fan of it. The auto tune they use on twice is clearly a stylistic choice for them but instead of just letting it go like he normally does he drags it on throughout the video. I think he deliberately does these things because he knows he'll get support and views since twice gets bashed enough for their vocals. He's so transparent and inconsistent and I'm glad I've been unsubscribed to him after seeing so many critiques from OH and some of the YouTube comments. Notice how he doesn't post his reviews on here anymore, people used to call him out on his bs all the time. It just makes no sense because he didn't say much about the auto tune with LOA but now he doesn't like it with CU and TT.

Actually, I still post on here quite frequently, and I do read ALL comments on my videos, and in forums when they are brought to my attention or I come across them :)

You guys are going out of your way to assign malicious intent to my reviews, and craft some sort of complex conspiracy theory about how I am subtly trying to "take down" groups, which I can tell you directly is not at all accurate, and not at all my intent ever.  I review the song honestly as I see it, and that's it.  I don't care what group or company it is, if I like it, I'll say so, and if I don't like it, I'll say so as well.  Pretty simple.  I back up and illustrate my opinions by pointing out music theory, music production, and songwriting elements to support my arguments and assertions.  If you believe I got any of those points factually incorrect, feel free to bring them up and we can discuss them.

If you've actually watched my channel for any period of time, you'll notice that I've criticized even my "favorite" groups rather harshly at times, and praised groups that people who cry foul about my reviews often say that I "hate," incorrectly.

As for TWICE, I think perhaps you either didn't watch my reviews of them, or chose not to listen what I had to say about them overall.  I think they are a really cool, and up-and-coming powerhouse group.  Their songs are definitely unique in a quirky and all over the place kind of way, but I think that is a strength of theirs because it sets them apart from many other newer girl groups.  JYP manages to put together their different styles, and the mishmash of musical inspirations that make up their songs in a very cool way, and I think they have pulled it off on the tracks thus far.  Their vocals on the title tracks DO sound a bit more constructed and pieced together than pretty much any other mid-to-large level of production KPOP girl group.  Only the very small company unknown groups have similar vocal production.  While TWICE's vocal production is extremely well done, and the unnatural sound doesn't come from a sloppy editing or tuning job, it absolutely IS there, for whatever reason.  I believe it could be one or all of a few things causing it: 1, TWICE has some inexperienced singers who are still finding their way around recording and really emoting well through a mic; 2, JYP wants to incorporate the more JPOP style of singing and vocal production into this group, since they have Japanese members and a cross-over audience; and/or 3, JYP is working with engineers and producers that are just taking a different route with the vocal processing that sounds much different from most other KPOP, but doing so is coming off as sounding slightly effected or unnatural.

Regardless, I don't think their unique and different sounding vocals is hurting them overall, and the numbers and sales seem to indicate it's not holding them back either.  It's just something that is rather noticeable, and the fact that I'm seeing thousands of comments off of my videos pointing out or wondering about the exact same thing demonstrates that it's certainly not just me talking about or noticing it in some attempt to "take TWICE down mwa ha ha *evil laugh*".  Definitely not what I've said, and definitely not what I'm going for.  I look forward to hearing what they come up with next.

  4. Prob old news, but MRJKPOP's review of Agust D has been subbed in Korean. Suga prob has no idea what MRJ's qualifications are and might not even care, but it would be cool if he saw this...or at least other Koreans did.

It's so cool to see his production skills get praised by someone who's actually in the music industry. I don't know if he'll make any lists from publications like Spin Magazine but I hope he's at least on people's radars.

I was told a while ago that BTS has watched my videos in the past.  I'm not 100% sure but it was from a pretty reliable industry source.

    Thanks for posting btw!

  5. That was a really great and fun interview, MRJKPOP. It was something I've wanted to see since their debut. It covered a lot of questions fans want to know. Haha, cute how Wooyoung said "M, R" rather than "mister". They looked relaxed and comfortable with each other and although careful on the way they answered the questions, seemed candid and genuine. They mentioned that they're different from their images on stage, more cute than sexy. So while they are known for their powerful songs/performances, I'd like to see them try something outside the box, even closer to their personalities than "Bad Girl". Being that they're favorite song is "1,2,3" I'd like to see them go back to their roots and comeback with a powerful, club-style jam.

I hope in the future we can see more interviews with Purfles. Thanks so much MRJKPOP!

    Glad you enjoyed it!

Also, M.R.J. KPOP is correct!  M. R. J. is my initials -- it's not Mr. J Kpop, although many people read it that way! haha

  6. Off topic but I talk / troll / get trolled about Mamamoo on my twitter pretty much constantly or every few hours -- might wanna follow me and discuss there if you have an account because I check that way more often than forums.  http://twitter.com/mrjguitar

And I don't think I had anything to do with MMM and WGM, but who knows.  I do consult with RBW about a variety of things pretty often.

lowkey dying waiting for the interview

The interview is just getting a minor final translation thing done on it and then it will be finished and uploaded.  It's like 45 minutes long, and you'll get to hear from them about all kinds of stuff in a really open and casual way.  I don't think a lot of the subject matter has been talked about anywhere else -- at least in the interviews I've seen with them.  And yes, they talked for most of that 45 minutes, which includes trolling of each other, trolling me, lots of fun, multiple languages, some singing, and more haha.  They are all really cool.

  9. I think maybe consider this: a single is just a single.  A full album would be just a full album.  Think of it as a separate release in the mean time before the full album comes out.  I don't see how more Mamamoo music, even with the timing spaced together, can possibly be a bad thing.  [Note, this is my opinion here and NOT inside information]
