I never did and I still don't, growing up we didn't wear shoes in the house we took them off at the door which I thought was normal, but when I got into anime and kpop they made it seem like an Asian thing. Also growing up I mostly hung out and played with black and Arab kids and we all took our shoes off at the door. Then I had a white friend who did it so I thought it was a white thing, and then another white friend who didn't, I see people saying it's an American thing but who actually is doing this?
