  1. finally finished backtracking Also WTF IS UP WITH THAT JIMIN PIC IT MAKES ME WANT TO CRY BLOOD IT'S SO R00D Jin pulled thru HE PULLED THRU But oh wow, some of the songs in this playlist seriously surprise me. The Lil Wayne and Kanye West songs he chose in here are things I never expected him to enjoy, though I guess it shouldn't be unexpected since he's in a predominantly hip-hop based group and probably got influenced by the culture a little. I just remember one of the episodes in AHL where Jin said he was angry that he got into a hip-hop group at first, but he also did say that his brother then reeled him into hip-hop and he adjusted to BTS just fine. I guess it's more surprising that he didn't include Awake though lol I really do like his choices the best of all four playlists so far though. Suga's was a bit too intense in the hip-hop department for me (a bit too harsh for my ears), Rapmon's had a mature style I didn't like all the time, and while J-Hope's was fine and I liked it, Jin's has the right mix of genres and also Gallant's in there. I've been meaning to get into him, since I really liked Cave Me In and Weight In Gold. I just never bothered to explore until now, but I regret it because I'm listening to Oology as I'm typing this right now and it's pretty great. Goddammit I got seriously surprised and really happy for a second there until I read further in
  2. From the looks of it, the concert seemed to have made up for the whole hotel incident. Second of all, when I wanna watch performance fancams but I don't want to spoil anything for myself for my own concert experience I even avoided the Seoul fancams when I could and it was torture I'm glad the boys enjoyed the concert though~
  3. Hey! So my mom and I are attending the Newark concert for Friday, and she wants to get to "know the group better". So she wants to listen to the music and watch some MVs. Now this is a bit complicated because my mom hates really hardcore rap, and BTS is a hiphop-based group... Anything like the Cyphers will pretty much give her a headache, and any gangster styles aren't really her favorite thing either. (can't even show her Agust D ). She's fine with a little rapping though, so long that it's a song with predominantly singing. She's really just attending because I'm still a minor and she doesn't want me travelling to NY alone, but she's about as excited as I am. Though I'm worried that the excitement will change once she listens to BTS' hardcore stuff. The only thing I've shown her was Spring Day, and even though we only listened to the music and didn't watch the MV, she liked it. Anything else I should introduce her to?
  4. Ah I saw this on Youtube This is basically someone interviewing a group of ARMYs. I think this is a show for people of fandoms? I don't know a lick of Korean, but I did see a translator on YT post the raw version of this on her channel, and the title of her video was in English.
  5. Apparently it's rare to find a non-stop flight from Seoul to Santiago, so I think NYC is their layover stop. It's good because Korea => NY takes about 14 hours already, and traveling can be a pain in the ass when it's for a really long time so it's good that they get the time to rest before another super long flight (NYC to Santiago is approx. 10-11 hours) Also when BTS is in the same timezone as you
  6. Ooh, if we're actually combining repacks with the original.... BTS ARE OFFICIAL MILLION-SELLERS NOW GUYS
  7. tbh, Western packaging sucks The physical market is so dead here, they don't put in effort anymore. Not even a little photobook or photocard nowadays. Or maybe this is just us being spoiled as K-Pop fans I've only seen a little smaller than a handful of albums have packaging that was similar or even as high quality as K-Pop albums. These were a bunch of lesser-known bands and Paul McCartney though.
  8. Ah in SEOUL. Well firstly, sorry for getting carried away there in my first reply. I tend to type long things and I'm just lowkey bitter that there isn't a K-Pop store near me Secondly, I've never been to Korea (closest I've been was Japan), so I can't say myself accurately on that end, but I can speak in terms availability of tour merch and merch in general. And third, my reply: I'm sure there are places that sell the albums and maybe some of the basic, general merchandise, probably bookstores.
  9. So you mean like an actual storefront? Where do you live? Or at least what's your general area? (Also do you live in America?) Because I know it really depends on the area, but I think there are a decent amount of K-Pop shops in the coasts of California. there's probably one or two in densely populated areas though, especially ones with a sizeable Korean or even just generally Asian population. If you live in Massachusetts like me though, then there are none that specialize in K-Pop. If you're lucky, maybe you'll find a limited selection of albums in a Chinatown store. You'd have to look in New York for that kind of stuff if you want higher chances because lemme tell you, the Northeastern region has little to none unless your city is big enough and culturally diverse enough.
  10. Got back home from school to my BTS album (Finally! Kpopmart never disappoints) I don't have pics rn, but I got Yoongi's photocard which makes me v happy because it's the one I hoped for the standee and poster is so cute too, I already have both of them up in my room
  11. who isn't going to watch La La Land though? lol I'm glad he's getting lots of rest though. It's been too long since I've heard of him having a legitimate break
  12. Personally, I don't think so. It seems that recently SM dropped LDN (probably not completely, but they've calmed down), so there's a chance that it may not be LDN. There's a high chance that it will be some Western producer (SM goes crazy over Western producers), but I do hope they go back to their Korean producers for a little, even if it's just for this comeback. I know there are Kroean producers involved, but they don't seem to be the main producers these days I want the dude who produced Growl to comeback
  13. Hey guys, I'm just curious; how many physical copies of YNWA have been sold? Don't count Wings in this.
  14. Hey guys isn't it funny that everyone used to hate LMR when it released, but now it's everyone and their mom's bop of the century
  15. Not even just their best single for me, it's actually my favorite K-Pop song ever I am not exaggerating here either. It's the one K-Pop song that I will never get sick of Oh god I topped with this? Well this is a good time to do some LMR appreciation Gonna share every single Lay moment in the LMR MVs ever because fuck he destroyed me that era
  16. Whoever here doesn't like LMR can actually get out I don't need that kind of negativity in my life Do y'all see my location tho D o y o u s e e i t D o y o u s e e m e l o v i n g t h i s s h i t r i g h t
  17. Perhaps I will get Genki 2 then? I had been studying intermediate for a while until I had to quit Japanese school halfway. Though how "beginner" is Genki 1 would you say?
  18. I was looking through Genki actually, and I don't know if I should start from the beginning or skip straight to volume 2 There's only two volumes correct?
