(Lol I forgot that's how they call them sometimes.) Well then! Thank god for Chinese spending power. And thanks again for your quick reporting!
-
Makes sense to me, but I want some proof. I'm comforting myself with the fact that in terms of music market size Japan's leaves SK's in the dust and China's is growing fast and basically has no limit, so I'm thinking a corporation would weigh Japanese or Chinese consumer tastes more heavily than SK's. So as long as China does want Hongseok and/or Japan does want Jinhyeong, then we should be spared the Chipmunk Apocalypse.
-
Well, let's see what Jaegirl has to say after she reads up on Cfan reaction. We also have very little idea of Jfan preferences, other than hearsay that they like Jinhyeong. Let's not forget that it's a three-horse race among the three big markets. YG gonna chase that money.
-
I know this is beating a dead horse and there's not much else to say. But I'm honestly baffled that, at this late point in the game, so many of these girls still want Chanwoo over Clearly Superior Options Jinhyeong and Hongseok. WHERE ARE THEIR CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS? Yes, please check the C-fan reaction! I've been wondering about that. I'm betting they want Hongseok. btw check you out with your trilingual self ;)

(Thanks girl!) From this I interpret that Chanwoo is the most popular +1 choice, Hongseok is a recently rising second, and Jinhyeong a distant third...? I thought DC gall would be different, and by different I mean better.

...I'll upgrade the incense to a full on Marie Laveau voodoo circle. PS: you know I'm in favor of a certain OT5 combination but at this rate I don't think I'm/we're gonna get it.

The hyper-accelerated timeline for their debut makes me think we won't lose either Yun or Dong. Can you imagine iKON showing up in Japan a few days after an original Team B member has been cut? Not only would that be incredibly demoralizing for the boys, possibly hurting their performance quality, but what a downer for the audience too. More tragic than seeing Fantastic Baby performed for the 10,000th time. Same goes for their January* debut -- how can they convincingly kick off their careers with a hype party banger with M&M's sad ending still fresh in everyone's minds? Press would keep bringing it up, angry fans would set the comment section ablaze, and any replacement member would get a lot of hate on top of that. ....still, imma burn some incense in support of Yoyo making it. Just in case. *lol, I'll believe that shit when I see it

^ Let me tell you, even by LA standards (our streets are littered with out-of-work demigods) Jinhyeong's look is really something else. If he had been an American kid I'm sure he would have been cast off the street. He has "Disney Channel star" written all over him.

Jae, can you do us a big favor? When you have some free time tomorrow, can you give us a report of DC gall reactions/topics/overall vibe re: the boys? I feel like we get bits and pieces here and there, but not enough to really form a current and accurate picture of what's trending. Because Yunhyeong is an all-rounder -- he's a little good at a lot of things, but not very good in any one thing -- which works both for and against him. I'd say the same goes for his personality: he's likable, funny, easy-going, but not especially outrageous or anything, nothing that makes him a topic. (And really, things have to be INCREDIBLY OBVIOUS if not outright spelled out for most people to even notice.) Plus, he's got loud, proud, uber-talented guys like Double B and June in the vicinity. He doesn't have that tender/delicate vibe that gets fans to want to baby him like Jinny and Donghyuk. But I do believe he's the kind of talent that needs time to mature and flourish. I hope YG can see that this guy is a solid asset to his stable of new kids. If he really intends his new generation of idols to branch out into variety etc, then Yoyo is that type, second in the queue after Lee Seunghoon. ...wow I didn't think I'd be sitting here almost a year after WIN, worrying about Song Yunhyeong.
-
All he needs is a chance to perform solo. We might have to wait until third quarter 2015 or even early 2016 for that
-
What time is the filming KST? Lollipop/Fire/I Don't Care wasn't exactly a bad streak though... though anyway, you have a good point.
-
Nope, no confirmation from a second source -- I'm starting to think it isn't true. Singles are totally fine with me -- sooner and more frequent promotions. I was ready to table my interest in this group until August 2015 lol.
-
Hmm re: Junhoe singing ENL -- I haven't been able to find a second source to confirm that it happened so file it under rumor for now.
-
LOL because the only reason I still give a rat's ass about any of the WIN boys was because when Junhoe sang his part in "Climax" I swear to god, the heavens cracked open, I saw the likeness of Jesus in a tortilla, etc etc. If it wasn't for that moment, I wouldn't have realized how much I had actually not noticed as a viewer of WIN, and it made me curious enough to re-watch the show and get to know all their characters much better. I mean, M&M is one thing, but at the end of the day I'm here to listen to Goo Junhoe's remarkable voice.

Junhoe will be singing eyes nose lips on today's stage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (via http://fy-ikon.com/) I suddenly remembered the MAIN REASON why I'm following this awful show to begin with. Oh and Happy Birthday to Kim Hanbin, one of my favorite kids on earth! Best wishes to him and hope he doesn't grow up too fast. Stay a kid as long as you can, B.I, plenty of time in the world to be a grown up!

Yo! long time no thread, but fyi the multitrack for Let It Go is up: http://tvcast.naver.com/v/222718 (On second thought, I'm way behind so sorry if this has been posted already.)

Who knows what their actual interaction was like; that episode was busy shipping B.I and Lee Hi every chance it got. But HS couldn't do the harmony despite LH apparently teaching him how to do it 100 times -- either because he simply couldn't do it, or didn't know what he was doing was wrong, or he knew it was wrong but kept doing it anyway. (Paraphrase, obvs.) She legit got mad. I guess in the end he couldn't pull it off after all. Useless Fat Ajusshi's sole contribution on this was, 'stahp stahp ur doing it wrong, hur.' I think I might actually hate that guy. LOL I laugh every time you write "hep hap."
-
LOL yes, "Beast Baby meets actual baby." I read that translation -- it was very sweet, a nice reminder that they're still kids, especially Junhoe who has a tough/stoic image but who actually wears his heart on his sleeve. I'm glad they live near Tablo and Hye Jung, who can provide them good, honest advice and a warm family environment to visit. This gif gets funnier every time I look at it. Flat out rejected by the princess in favor of B.I. Also, what happened to that harmony Hong-Hi were supposed to do??

YOYO FOR INKI HOST, you know he'd be amusing as hell. Junhoe has surprised me -- he's not as meat-headed as I thought he was. He can read a room, has got snappy comebacks stacked up his sleeve, and provides great reaction shots. Broadcast-worthy kid.
