  1. I've been catching some clips here and there at EVO. Its been exciting so far at least. SF5 in its current state is a lot better than during its release, but it just didn't have the spark I used to feel. I will still play the new characters, but for now its just an okay game. I did play a bit of the KoF demo. The game looks better than what you see in trailers, but yeah it still looks like a game from 2 generations ago. Still the KOF series has never been about visuals, the game still plays like a solid KOF game.
  2. I figure that China Sea dispute was serious, but I guess its a lot more far reaching than I thought. But after that Tzuyu case, shouldn't be surprise Anyway, not in love with Fei's solo, but had some nice moments. I mean, you can't expect a guy to support someone who took some cheap-shots at their wife. This whole deal been an hilarious circus.
  3. Being a fighting game fan myself, I'm lucky in the regard that I can play on both systems. I mainly play MKX and KI for Xbox1, sometimes Skullgirls as well (since its backwards compatible recently). As for PS4, its for Guily Gear, and probably KOF later on. I tried to get into SF5, but I've just given up that series. Which is sad, because SF is the reason I got into fighting games. Personally if you were to ask me which system is better for fighting games. Its all gonna be done to personal preference. Depends on the franchise your into. But if the game is multiplatform, I usually go for the Xbox1 version, mainly because I seemed to get better online play in comparison. For some reason I get more dropped matches on PS4. As for PC, I have no say on that since I don't play fighting games on PC.
  4. That name sounds familiar. edit: Oh wait, I kind of remember. Was always the type to start shit up. Now the worse, but still bad.
  5. 1st, where the hell did this Taeyeon come from and why did it take so long? Also Taeyeon solo >>>>>>>>>>>> Tiffany solo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jessica I know with the current news isn't exactly helping. But I swear that some of posters here have gotten worse with their race baiting threads.
  6. I've just stop playing those characters after awhile. Like you said, just boring. They required so little skill to play just find a decent camping spot, and its pretty much set. Not to much how infuriating it is they almost always take play of the game whether on your team or not. Right now I'm doing the rank play, and its been a pain in the ass with some players leaving. I'm just glad Blizzard punish those who leave one too many times. Ngl, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with DOA during the last few years. Mainly with how they been promoting too much of Marie Rose and Honoka. And with the release of DOAX3, I was pissed how it was Japan only release, and more so with how some of my favorite female characters were not even in it. But having Mai in the game is probably one of the best ideas they had. It make sense, she fits in the DOA cast so well. Her character was one of truly unapologetic in terms of sex appeal during the early fighting game days. Oh and besides Mai, I'm quite excited for the new stage as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_pAKasBOx0
  7. I think my hate for Brave Bros is still more intense. YG I can at least acknowledge when they have a good song or performance. But its just a matter of time before all YG's continuing fuckery changes that.
  8. I fucking despise Torbjorn and Bastion players. That's all I got.
  9. Out of all the Miss A members, I've thought Min might of gotten the solo treatment first, music wise at least. But I've got no complaints with Fei
  10. YG's new girl group looks like a rejected Red Velvet concept. Tbh did anybody still give a shit about the group? Well I've been out of the loop on this.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnKT9ZCGgBE Man, I cannot believe I almost miss this. Considering that Keiji Inafune is involved in this, not to mention Mark Pacini of the Metroid Prime series, I'm surprised it didn't get more press. I remember there was only a cg trailer last year. And ngl, this new trailer is definitely making me more interested.
  12. Lol well that was the most fun backtrack I had in awhile. I never revealed my name here. Though I might of mention it once when I was skype, the time I was more active.
  13. I thought Sony's was good, but aside from Horizon Zero and Death Stranding, not anything I would say blew me away, but that's more due to some franchises I've never been a fan of. My only concern with Sony's press was the VR deal, which I'm still not sold on. And while Crash getting a remaster is welcome, I felt it would of been better if they made a new Crash game. EA, well unless you were a fan of EA games, its what you expect. Its rare these days. But even with their fuck ups, I will give capcom credit when its due. And thank you RE6. I really think RE6 gets too much hate as a game. Its not perfect and the major complaint is that its not horror enough. But if you judge it for what it is, its a pretty decent action game. You have 4 campaigns that you get to play with almost the entire cast, its co-op (rare in games these days), and there are good amount of side modes to play with. The game for the most part plays very smoothly, doesn't feel overly clunky and the game goes a breakneck pace. If I had to criticize the game, like you wasn't a fan of the QTE's and I think there should of been a better check point system. But overall RE6 was a game that gave a lot content for your money, something a lot of games struggle to do these days.
  14. Well MS announced their new slim Xbox One. Ngl it does look nice, but as I expected nothing that would make me get it right away. Its just slimmer, has 4K support and offers a 2TB option as well. And for $299, its not a bad deal for people who haven't picked it up. Anyway a few trailers that caught my eye today. So far for the most part the response has been positive for the new RE. Still there are concerns, there is a lot promotion of this game with the Playstation VR, and I'm not too keen on the whole VR deal. And while they say you can still play without VR, I've seen a lot companies say similar things, and ends up being half-ass and/or unnecessary gimmick. Another concern is the game's tone. Yes its more horror, but some feel like its more Silent Hill than Resident Evil. Silent Hill was psychological in terms of scare, while Resident Evil played more into classic horror tropes. Still I want to give this game a chance and see what they'll do. And hoping at least a classic RE character will come in. I really liked the Dead Rising series. Its a fun series, particularly 2nd game with its creative weapons. And while I did enjoy the 3rd game with its more open world gameplay and ability the make combo weapon vehicles, I did feel it took itself a bit too seriously. Thankfully this returns to its more lighthearted roots. Well as lighthearted as a apocalyptic zombie game can be lol.
  15. Honestly if offering mainly just 4K is the only thing these upgraded systems are offering, I really see little reason to get it. Unless they its something like backwards compatibility, which is the only thing PS4 lacks, I think I will stick with what I have. Anyway, I just saw this now. I'm not too keen on the whole power armor deal. At least from a visual sense. Mainly because it makes little sense for certain heroes (particularly Superman), to even wear it Still I trust Netherrealm's decision making. With each fighting game they released, its gotten better each time. I'm hoping they continue to have the solid story mode's, and retain the netcode that was implemented with the last MKX patch from a few months ago. And prays that Starfire will be on the roster
  16. Man I'm so glad I'd missed the hype around EXO's comeback. I can only assumed it was a nightmare to log on around here And being a long time BoA stan, most of us already know she's never gonna get the success she had 10-15 years ago. Its good enough she still releases something once in awhile. Speaking of lasting this long, I'm quite surprised as well. I guess it just makes it easier to find lol
  17. Yeah....seen that new look. Not gonna touch on it. I don't blame fans for being upset. Delays can be understandable if it makes a game better. Graphically, I doubt anybody was expecting of something incredible, at least for a 2D side-scroller, but I've seen indie games that look considerably better than this and those were not made on a 4 million budget. So it does ask the question of where that money was going. As someone who has barely touched a Blizzard game, I would say its one of the funnest 1st person shooters in a long time. And its definitely no COD by any means. The biggest issue's with a lot of FPS games, especially when it comes to multiplayer, is that the environment makes everybody a lone wolf type. Some asshole just wants to be one with a high kill-streak or some other bragging right. But its refreshing in a change when the game emphasizes on team-work, you really can't get anywhere if you stray off. Every character plays differently, and there really isn't one character that is more dominated over another once you learned about each one. Ngl, I was on the fence of picking up this game, mainly because its purely a multi-player game. If there is any real weakness to the game, there is a lack of a story/campaign mode. And given how interesting the characters and the world of Overwatch is, this can be annoying. However Blizzard is known to support their games for a number of years even after its release, and given this is their newest ip in more than 15 years, I expect that trend to continue.
  18. This is so corny, yet I'm charmed by it
  19. I was kind of wondering what was the deal with negative reaction to the trailer. But then the line "make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night" came up at 1:01 mark. I mean while I'm sure that is not their entire audience, it does feel like they insulted a core demographic. This isn't exactly the best marketing you can do. Still considering that Mega Man fans aren't getting a game anytime soon, and after numerous delays for Mighty No.9, its makes you wonder if fans are willing to let this fuck up go.
  20. Unfortunately there are no guarantee's. Luckily they managed jobs where its more about the options and the potential for growth. Though you can only hope the growth doesn't drag out. Lawd, like people will just neg over the smallest things.
  21. I can tell you that at least 2 friends I know have regret getting the full degree's. I can't remember what program they were pursuing, but after their experience, it wasn't worth it. Now they still owe about 150-200k in loans. They don't regret their careers, but I guess a little research would of help.
  22. Lol Jessica's proving once again how much of a lazy ass she is. Don't know why people are getting mad that she's not promoting. I mean who honestly expects anything from her? And this AoA deal......man Korea just like finding new scapegoats every year.
  23. You know I didn't hear about the whole CoD until recently, and I just check the trailer. However the dislike bar................................ 2 million dislikes. I'm just dying.
  24. Welp this is my fault for bringing my wife to see Marvel movies. She's now a Chris Evans fangirl. Congrats tee,
  25. I've been trying out some new beta's for the past few weeks. Overwatch being the most recent. I'm not gonna lie, I'm not huge on team-based shooters, but this was surprisingly. fun. I like how every character felt unique and there was at least a use for each of them. Along with that, it has a great visual style, mixes in a Disney/Pixar look with a bit of anime mixed in. However I'm still on the fence of getting it, at least not right away. I know these games are design for mainly multiplayer, but even I would like a decent campaign or something of that sort. This game has such an interesting cast of characters, not to mention the animated shorts have created a world you really want to take in. Maybe I'm just one of those people. But this is kind of reason why I can't get into these type of games.
