Just heard about Pristin. Damn I am sad and annoyed. I don't even class myself as a hardcore fan and if I feel how I do then the hardcore fans must be a mess. I feel for you all.

 

Let's hope they go on to great things and maybe some (if not all) of those that left the company get to stay together and for another group.

 

I must admit though I would think that if a company screwed my music career up for a couple of years then they would be the last company I would want to work for. So I have no idea why the 3 stayed. As soon as I got a chance to jump that sinking ship I would have.

 

How many groups do they need to screw up before people stop signing with them?

I'm only getting like this because Sungyeon is my favourite member and she is staying with that pile of trash company. I hope they do right by all three of them after how they have treated them so far.

 

Anyway just wanted to say I am sorry to hear this and I feel for you all. But we will all be smiling when they go onto even greater things

I go away and come back and something new keeps happening. Their 1st win. I can't explain how happy I am for them. Let's hope this is the first of a long line of wins for their next songs. Hopefully FNC will learn to trust them and let them keep doing their own songs now.

Also I must say I was never fully sure about Yoo Hweseung. I thought he had a good voice but I never thought much about him. Then I watched this

 

and I was in no doubt anymore. That note he hits is incredible. It was then I saw how talented he is. I have heard Hongki sing with others and he destroyed other people because of his power but Hweseung actually kept up with him. So impressed!!

 

So then at one point I had a N flying hater say it was just good editing. I showed him this

Yes they definitely deserve it. 4 years and they have paid their dues and worked really hard. It's great to see that is paying off for them. I just hope this makes their name memorable for future releases so they chart really well with upcoming comebacks.

 

Hongki said what was on my mind though. When I realised FT Island had military time coming up I was wondering who in the bands would step forward for FNC. I didn't think anyone would but now they (hopefully) have N Flying to keep that flame burning.

 

How long they been #1 now?

It really was great to see N flying to get #1 on Mel0n but I have to admit I am really surprised it is still there. I am really pleased it is still there and I hope it stays there but I am surprised!

Congratulations on them getting number 1. I was expecting to see this thread jumping with excitement lol. This is quite an achievement and will surely set them up for future good chart positions. I hope they keep finding huge success. They really are talented and deserve everything they get. I guess losing a member only made them show more hunger and made them perform even better. So proud of them!!

I was taking a break from kpop for a while but decided to have a quick check on Mel0n to see who was having comebacks and N Flying is 3rd??? 

 

So Rooftop got a renewed interest and is doing amazing now? I am so pleased for them. After AoA lost some of it's juice what with Choa leaving and FT Island doing military soon I thought there was no one going to bring in the high chart positions for FNC. I am really pleased to see N Flying doing the representing. I hope this is the start of many more high chart positions for them. They deserve it!

Oh it does always make me smile so much to see the haters be as pathetically inaccurate about AoA as they always are. Such a bunch of retards. They must love looking stupid because it happen so often.

On the first comment you can always tell when they don't believe what they are saying when they have to try and bring up scandals to add more momentum to their comment. All that does is show how weak they feel their own comment is.

Well Concerning Mina ... ITS a Play and she is for me a very sexy Girl ... Not so when she Fights for IT but in General ... I.e in "click my Heart" AND she suffers from the competition ... Too many sexy Girls in AOA ... In other groups she would be the Queen of sexyness ...

I agree Mina is sexy. I always thought so too. She was my first main bias in AoA and kpop as a whole. Mina is the kind of woman that is naturally sexy though and the harder she tries to be the more she eventually loses it and does something cute. Where as someone like Hyejeong is sexy 24/7, Mina just needs to stop trying to be sexy and just let it naturally happen 

 

 

 

 

Anyone notice how when Bingle Bangle starts, Mina slides her hands over Yuna's hips, Chanmi slides her hands of Jimin's hips but Hyejeong gets her hands fully on Seolhyun's ass. Just another reason to love Hyejoeng lol

I have always loved Hyejeong's voice. It's always been one of my favourites. Also she does a lot of the backing harmonies too so that shows really good versatility.

I'm sure we all remember those days when Chanmi would get such terrible insults thrown at her about her body shape and saying she was over weight. I notice all those idiots have gone slithering back under their rocks now. You would think  they would get tired of AoA making them look like idiots, because it keeps happening. I agree it is a shame that they didn't get a win. But to say this is their first song just after losing the main singer (which in some cases can spell the end of a group with a loss that big) I think they have done incredible. How well they have done on the charts have shown strongly that AoA as 6 certainly do have a future and the haters are, as always, very wrong.

I didn't think they would win to be honest. FNC for some reason always seems to make AoA release a song right in the midst of the hardest competition. While most companies wait until the most opportune moment to release a song. FNC love to make it as hard as possible for AoA for some reason. At least now we know that AoA still has a future and we will see them again. That above all other things makes me the happiest 

Well let's not forget the good old MR Removed video. Damn AoA are leaving the haters who said they were over, looking very stupid

I agree the wait was hard but the result has been really good form it. AoA has never had such a high ratio of female support from any other comeback and that is certainly a good thing! If they finish promotions while keeping such a large support of female fans then it may be a good idea to not wait too long before another comeback to nurture that interest even further.

How are they doing on the charts currently? I can't check it...

So I thought I would nip over from the AoA thread and say I think Get It is a great song. It has the feel of Black Widow and I loved that song too. In fact I have enjoyed all their songs

 

Just want to also add that I have always found Hyejeong of AoA to be one of the most beautiful women in the world and way ahead of anyone in kpop. That is until Nayoung came on the scene. Now Hyejong has some really strong competition. Also my 3^rd place on the beauty list is a tie Sana of Twice and Roa. So you see to me Pristin have a really strong visual game. Although Nayoung can rap really well and has a really pretty voice and Roa has a great vocal and both dance really well.

 

As for the vocal side I think Pristin has one of the best vocalists in kpop with Sungyeon. She is incredible. Also really really cute. Well until I saw her perform Bang Bang with Yewon and Kyla where Shannon turned the sexy dial that goes up to 10 right up to 26 lol.

 

Okay I will stop there but it easy to write a lot about Pristin they are so very talented.

 

I'll do a tldr

Nayoung and Roa are really sexy and multi talented. Sungyeon (arguably) one of the best vocalists in kpop.

 

Oh and I have 2 bias in Pristin. Nayoung (obviously) and Shannon

 

I am really annoyed that Get It isn't in the top 30 at least on Melon. It so deserves it. I wish them the best and I can't help but believe that Pristin will one day be one of the biggest girl groups. Just keeping supporting them hard and they will get there for you!

 

I have been watching quite a few reaction videos to see how they are thinking of the song and the 2 things I noticed the most was....

1 - Everyone seems to like the song and even if they were indifferent to it they couldn't help but sing the chorus

2 - There is a lot of love for Jimin. This pleases me so much since haters would always try and overshadow Jimin's rapping ability by picking on her voice or anything else they could think of. So it is nice to see so many people get so happy to see her and hear her rap. I hope that love continues for her. Can't have always been easy being the leader of AoA so to see her getting some real praise is amazing!

So happy that this is doing so well. Seems like they are finally coming out of the shadow of that stupid witch hunt and are finally able to get the true credit they deserve.

 

Let's hope promotions push them even higher up the charts. Although to be honest I am already very happy with their performance. I stayed away from kpop since all the trouble. Couldn't stomach all the toxic idiots any longer. So when I came back I expected the worst. So this really makes me happy!!

I am also pleased to see the group is doing fine without Choa. Don't get me wrong we do miss her but she wasn't going to stay, she had made her mind up to go. So it's good to see that AOA can do well without Choa and all those that said AoA were nothing without her were (once again) proved completely wrong.

 

And you know how much I love it when the retards are proved wrong!!

It's good to see AOA back and the song is really catchy. AoA's usually perfect balance of sexy and cute. Love to see MIna getting a big part in the MV and I think she was the perfect choice for that part. Let's hope it does really well for them

I agree. Instead of nine people dancing, they are so in synch it sounds like 1 heavy footed person. They did amazing and this song is one of the best songs I have heard in kpop for quite a while.

I don't think whether FNC can keep AoA going or not is the issue. There are many really popular groups with less than 7 members and AoA was never weak when it came to vocals. Yes admittedly the loss of Choa would weaken the group vocally but they would still be vocally strong enough to continue. The style of song may have to change a little to fit the remaining members and take into the fact the song won't have those unique choa vocals but yes they can still easily cope with 6 members.

 

The only thing I do worry about right now is Choa. The kpop fans in general have always felt the need to witch hunt AoA at any opportunity. We only need to go back to the history witch hunt to remember how kpop fans are willing to take something to do with AoA and blow it way out of proportion. So I just worry that mentality will  continue and they will react  in a way that will only hurt Choa even more. In the end this can't have been an easy choice for Choa. She worked hard to become an idol and worked hard to always present a positive image for AoA. She was easily our queen of fanservice early on and always tried to stay like that so this will hurt her a great deal that she is leaving like this. I just hope fans realise this and give her a break.

 

As for her being selfish. Yes she is. Every idol is. What do you think they get into this industry for? With the money they make they support their families, they support themselves and prepare for the future Why do you think idols do solo songs, solo CF's, appear solo on tv shows etc. They do all this because partly they have to be selfish to make sure they make a decent future for themselves and their family, outside of kpop. For an idol to be completely unselfish they would have to turn down every solo opportunity and demand to only work if the rest of the members are there but when do you hear an idol do that. So don't get mistaken in thinking that Choa is some sort of bad example. Every idol tries to raise their solo brand worth for the future. So calling Choa selfish is a moot point completely.

The main thing I am hoping right now is that the fans accept what Choa wants. I have often said that the worst thing about kpop is the fans and how terribly toxic they can be. I just hope her fans and AoA fans don't turn against her but I certainly wouldn't put it past them to do it. I guess time will tell.

I think a few of us deep down suspected this could happen. The way Choa disappeared and just cut off communication, not even hanging round with the members, meant there was obviously something bad happening. But hearing it is definitely hard to hear.

 

I think I felt there was something wrong with Choa several months ago when she suddenly disappeared for about a month with not a word. She didn't communicate to anyone then either and people assumed it was lupus (or something like that) but  eventually she just came back and carried on and the subject was dropped. But that went against how Choa usually acted and I felt uncomfortable then. Maybe that had nothing to do with it but how she acted then (disappearing from the public eye) is exactly how she acted this time. So maybe they are linked I don't know

 

I truly hope I am wrong but I think Choa will get quite a lot of hate for this. Fans were getting quite annoyed at how she disappeared and said nothing for quite a while, then she appeared again, made a statement basically saying she was fine and everything was good and then she disappeared again with no contact yet again. Then  she appears again and says this about leaving. Personally I will always hope the best for any member in whatever they do and Choa is no exception. If this is true I hope she has a great life, but as we know, not all fans think like we do and they can be very hateful. Especially fans of other members if her leaving collapses the group all together.

 

If the nail in the coffin was the hate she has been getting recently, then disappearing and being silent again for a few more months was obviously only going to make things worse.  I just hope that Choa doesn't get the hate I am expecting she will get. She is a real angel and deserves lots of love not hate.
