Ideal line-up as of now: B.I., Bobby, Junhoe, Jinhwan, Yunhyeong, Hongseok, Jinhyeong. I'd exclude Junhoe and Jinhwan if I could, but even Junhoe is inevitable tbh. Bias list: Yunhyeong/B.I. Bobby Hongseok Jinhyeong Chanwoo Donghyuk Jinhwan Junhoe

Which male idols do you think are gay?
eplizo replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
I want someone to come out, but if anyone were to be deliberately outed against their will, I'd MUCH rather hear nothing at all. -
I'm really fed up with all these companies "training" these kids, but still not training them PROPERLY; particularly vocally. Junhoe is a dreadful technical vocalist. People only praise him become the rest of the team is so bad in that department, and because his tone is less "nasally". Yunhyeong and Hongseok are both better technical vocalists than him already although they're not particularly stellar either. It's a shame too cause most of his (and the rest of the vocalists) problems are something that a competent vocal instructor could fix in a matter weeks or a few months; which is a very small fraction of the time he's been in YG.

Which male idols do you think are gay?
eplizo replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
He is such a legend. ugh I love him. -
I think you're slightly misunderstanding. I only brought it up to say that whitney's head voice wasn't thoroughly developed nor was it trained in any way. I'm so over this lol. yea ia with you for the most part. We're pretty much saying the same thing lol Anyway, my point still stands though that Bey's overall modal voice is more balanced and controlled. That kinda was my whole point of all of this..... haha.
-
I never put her on the classical scale. If you read my previous posts I stated that too. I'm putting her to scale with other female vocalists in general, with a similar tessitura to her, who have better developed head voices. Her head voice could've been potentially a lot more dynamic, as demonstrated by Beyonce and other competently trained female vocalists (even excluding primarily classical vocalists, if you must, for the sake of this argument), but it wasn't. That was my point. Whitney had unhealthy habits accompanying her head voice and she often strained and got thinner the higher she went, which obviously, of course, prevented her from being optimally resonate there and also limited her range and overall dynamic control in her upper head voice.
-
Oh I missed this. You're so sweet! Thank you! :')
-
omg we actually agree on something. and yes, that was me lmao ia completely. Whitney is great as far as pop vocalists go, but her technique isn't as flawless as people try to make out. She always mixed her voice in an attempt to make it sound "darker" or more "powerful" than it would be if she actually tried a more neutral approach, and she even ended up straining quite a bit sometimes. I never said that all classical vocalists are good, and I will be the FIRST person to tell you that. That's why I specifically said "thoroughly" and "competently" trained classical vocalists. I said in comparison to Beyonce and other vocalists with thoroughly developed head voices (often competently trained classical vocalists), her's is definitely lacking. I agree. Although there are perhaps some exceptions. Mariah was only given pointers and tips by her mother, I'm pretty sure, but she never received formal training of her own. She's also had untreated vocal nodules since youth, so conclusively, it does make sense her head voice ended up underdeveloped. I don't exist (or type) solely to make you comfortable.... It's not like it makes much of a difference either way? Just pay no mind to it hun. I don't plan on posting in here much anyway. Yea, of course they don't need to learn everything about classical music, I agree, but you claimed her head voice was trained despite the fact it wasn't, hence my response. Her head voice was still quite flawed and limited; classical or not.
-
It's September babe. Whitney never received formal classical training, so yes it's untrained lol. She's great as far as untrained vocals go, but if you compare her overall head voice to classically trained vocalists, you'll realize the difference in mastery lol. Not to be demeaning, but I don't think you realize the properties and dynamics associated with well-trained classical vocals if you truly think Whitney's head voice was trained lol. But she was never classically trained LMAO. Whitney doesn't possess the prowess in her head voice that competently trained classical vocalists do; even for a mezzo-soprano. Stop with the reaching lol. You have nothing to stand on. When in the world has mimi ever displayed more agility than Bey? LMAO. People are always so hesitant to place younger acts above older acts solely because of seniority and/or favoritism, and can't seem to look at things objectively. I've yet to see anyone truly prove that either of them have better overall modal control than Bey.
-
what "fucking lies"? it's the truth. Whitney's head voice was untrained in the technical sense that she never received formal training to develop her voice like Bey did lol. Whitney's head voice is probably as good as it gets for an untrained voice, but it was still untrained, and it pales in comparison to Bey's dynamic mastery. Whitney's head voice was also still quite limited in regards to range and strength in her upper head voice, when opposed to more thoroughly trained vocalists. Then there's her lower range which Bey obviously trumps her in as well. Mariah, again, has range, even in her lower register, but it's often not as well-supported and is often more forced. Even then IF you wanted to argue Mariah's lower register was "amazing", her head voice STILL wasn't as well developed as Bey's lol. There's also the fact that Mariah's nodules that she developed pre-debut hindered her vocals quite a bit even in her prime. With all that said, It's also worth noting Bey has probably exhibited healthier placement, dynamic prowess, and agility even in her mid-upper chest voice than the both of them too lol. I'm not saying either of them are bad, but in regards to modal control, Bey is a lot more overall well-rounded than the both of them.
-
in regards to overall modal vocal control? nah. I might even as going as far as saying they've never been either, at least in comparison to Bey of recent. All of them have their strengths as I said, mariah her range and falsetto, whitney and her middle range, but none of them are as balanced across the board as Bey is in their modal voice. Bey has a very solid lower range, and very dynamic and agile mid-upper range. Neither of them possess the prowess she does in her head voice either, because Bey was classically trained and is one of the few classically trained mainstream singers who was not just competently trained, but also knows how to properly apply her training to fit more mainstream vocals approaches. You don't see Mariah or Whitney able to pull off the things Bey can do with her head voice lol. Whitney's head voice (subjectively speaking) had a favorable tone, but it was obviously untrained, and Mariah's wasn't near as developed as Bey's either. She's an extremely well-rounded vocalist. Bey just simply has a different vocal approach and hasn't revolved her career around vocally-driven ballads like the other two, so people don't often recognize how skilled she truly she is in comparison.
-
Beyonce's growls are COMPLETELY stylistic as she's displayed countless times that she can sing pretty much completely unrestricted all through-out her range; from top to bottom. Actually, people don't recognize her for it outside of some "vocal circles", but she's probably displayed both more technical/dynamic prowess and effortlessness in her overall modal register than Whitney and Mariah lol (although they're both still good in their own right, as far as pop vocals go, and have their own strengths).

together? not that I can think of lol, but individually maybe. This one obviously just seems ironic, but I do kinda suspect Yugyeom is gay or somewhat confused. -

You made the assumption; not me. Where the hell are you going with this? You embarrassed yourself trying to discredit my argument, but you failed. I don't care what you look like, nor do I need proof of it lol. Just don't make assumptions and accusations without having evidence, so you won't make of a fool of yourself like you just did lmao. It's less of me trying to be offended, and more of me finding something offensive that IS offensive. It's not a matter of being PC or not lol. I fail to see how degrading feminine men like you did, ISN'T offensive???? You're basically saying that men who don't act stereotypically masculine aren't "real men". Then what does that make them? lol I don't need their opinions, because their opinions and preferences aren't FACTS. Two of your "friends" still aren't enough to speak for the all the homosexual men in the world. If opinions mean that much to you, I'll say that I know quite a few gay men who like more feminine men, and I guess that debunks your argument that ALL gay men don't like feminine men. There IS a hetero-normative stereotype of what a real man is lol. That's why we have people like Lay saying, "No, I'm a REAL man. Of course I can't be gay. That's not possible." What rock do you live under? Hetero-normative gender stereotypes are the reason for homophobia almost ENTIRELY. Not even religion is solely responsible, because religion is man-made and ultimately just enforces man-made concepts. "I mean, go back and look at classical cultures that have written about homosexual love. It's all about an expression of masculinity in different ways." Not true. Even if you look at paintings and records from classical China which was a bit more accepting of homosexuality, the male objects of desire were quite feminine. In Japan, the actual male lover of Oda Nobunaga, Mori Ranmaru, was constantly described as a quite delicate and feminine character. You mean to say Nobunaga wasn't gay? There's even records saying that higher up men would hook up with the long-haired feminine men of Kabuki theater because they wouldn't have to shave their hair according to custom like most other men did. Not every ancient culture described homosexuality as "all about" an "expression of masculinity". "Men who like men do not want men who act and dress like women. Simple." I'd love for you to prove that all gay men don't like feminine men with SOLID scientific facts. Otherwise, your statement is baseless. Of course though, I'll never be getting these facts though, cause you have none. LMAO. Whether some homosexuals have preferences in regards to their partners gender or personality attributes, is solely a person-to-person thing, but I already stated that homosexuals are technically, by definition, attracted to the same sex, not "gender". That's irrefutable, but I'd love to see what other excuses you can pull out of your ass anyway. -

NOPE. I'm a gay dude myself, so you can fuck out of here with that and your attempt to discredit my argument. Nice try tho! LMAO. _______ "And don't you dare tell me who to be attracted to" nope I never did that. I specifically said "It's fair enough to say you like masculine men", and I do too for the most part, but your words are still inexcusable. ____________ "A man who dresses up in women's clothes and prances around acting like one is effeminate and that is the total opposite of what most homosexual men want" Speak for yourself. I wasn't aware you were the spokesperson for all men who identify as homosexual. Homosexuality by definition is when someone is attracted to the same SEX (their biological assignment), NOT "gender" which is a social construct. _____ Your initial statement was homophobic in of itself, because you are helping enforce hetero-normative gender stereotypes that all "real men" must be a certain way. I STILL fail to see how a guy being feminine or cross-dressing makes them any less of a "real man", and I'll be waiting for your facts and "truth of the matter" that prove otherwise lol. -

eplizo replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
FOH with those gender stereotypes. What you're saying it pretty much like what Lay just said. You're saying that men who are feminine aren't "real men", and that's actually extremely offensive. Being feminine or cross-dressing doesn't make anyone less of a man. Where is your logic? Also, please don't act you're the spokesperson for all gay men and what their preferences are. It's fair enough to say you like masculine men, but to degrade feminine men as not being "real men" is problematic. -

[2] tbh. After really listening to Wait for Me again, I actually think Yunhyeong is becoming their best technical vocalist, but I need to hear him live to confirm it tbh.

I only referenced it as a testament to how useless he is to the group's dynamic. He doesn't lead the group, and his talents and looks are sub-par, so what DOES he do? lol

Not exactly. They're at least good-looking/cute by boy group standards lol. But otherwise yea, ia. Besides Bobby and BI, none of the other members stand out or contribute much to the group and it's overall dynamic. You could literally replace them all with good-looking korean teens, and you wouldn't notice the difference. I typically hate to compare WINNER and Team B, but at least they have a unique group dynamic. I don't quite get that yet with Team B..... but yea instead of having a useless member who's not good-looking (Jinhwan), why not get a useless member who has more marketable looks (the rest of the trainees)? lol It does say something if he's not the leader, but still does NOTHING to contribute lol. That's what I meant. He's not the leader, is undeserving of being called the main vocalist, isn't a particularly talented dancer, so what's he there for? MNET typically has the whole thing subbed by tomorrow morning or the morning after based on the other survival shows, if I remember correctly at least.
