Yeah,it'll be very unfair and if Quattro played before the final 3,how can PD make sure to call eliminated players back for Quattro? I'm certainly hoping the PD will take suggestion from Quattro in season 2 as it's very anticlimating ending for S2 to have Quattro as final game. Any DM left is surely better than Quattro. Double Sided Poker is actually quite underrated game,like Betting RPS. It offers a lot of potential for physcological war and in S3 it hasn't reached its potential due to Soojin's blunder. Twelve Janggi and Gyul Hap definitely the game for brainy people but both of them offer unique characteristic. Kyungran and Dongmin probably edge in observation skill so they'll be better in Gyul Hap while Hyunmin,Kyunghoon,Junseok,Jinho for me better in game sense required for Twelve Janggi

Actually quite disappointed Quattro still left,especially with the better DM like Black and White used very early. I hope they made a tweak about the rules to make it not too luck/alliance based as in Season 2,the rule in E1 made it very alliance based and in the final the rules make it very luck based. Should have put Memory Maze/Laser Chess instead of Quattro though

BUT,this season garnet hold even more important value due to Garnet Match so i think the players will also add it into account when playing the game. None of the remaining players are scaredy cat for the DM,so we might even see the player take a gamble by going into DM and getting as much as garnet possible in the MM. That kind of move will be stupid in S2 where garnet is useless but it's possible in this season. It's certainly interesting the PD use the game where the garnet will change hands before the next Garnet Match

After episode 7 and seeing that most people here have made ranking for the people left,i thought that i need one too. But after thinking a bit,i think i need to separate it into two types of ranking, 1 for players that i admire, 1 for player that i want to stay this season. So here we are Rank for players I admire 1. Dongmin : Arguably the greatest Genius player ever. He's so great in all aspect which makes him looks so dominant in the game. Incredibly scary yet can be funny at the same time. What a character 2. Hyunmin : The smartest player in whole 3 seasons. To be honest i'd like to see more sides of him where he doesn't cooperate with Dongmin 3. Sangmin : A character that's badly missed once he's not in the game. Always trying to be active in the game and shake it up a bit and for me he's the most interesting player to have in MM. Shame he isn't that good in DM. 4. Jinho : His Open Pass and 5:5 moment will remain forever in my heart as Genius moment but to be fair he's always kinda average in MM. Even in Individual Auction game in season 1 he basically ruined it. In season 2,he won most of first half episode because the rest of members (apart from Sangmin) are so poor 5. Kyungran : She may not hold the greatest brain sense like Hyunmin or Jinho but she made it with the greatest political ability in The Genius. There is a reason why good player tend to choose her as an ally. She is a reliable ally, good strategist aswell (although she may not appear like it because of Dongmin/Sangmin dominance) 6. Kyunghoon : Gone from annoying game destroyer character in S3-S4E1 to actually contribute to the game and surprising everyone. I think him being close with Sangmin is the greatest experience for him. After eliminating Sangmin,i thought he is very useful to the side he's in without ruining the game. His light hearted attitude when he voluntarily accept to be in DM is the contrast from what we've seen in S3 so i think he managed to change his character completely. I laughed when he said he wanted to change his character in S4E1 but he's done it. 7. Junseok : His anti mainstream always make the game interesting. Even in his appeareance as guest in S2,only Junseok who doesn't cooperate with Sangmin. 8. Yoohyun : I see him as the person who try to beat the strong people like Hyunmin/Dongmin but in the end failed. It's great to see him play because i think he's similar to Junseok in terms he want the game to be more unpredictable but from the last 2 seasons it seems Yoohyun lacked composure (his defeat against Yeonjoo and his response when Kyunghoon found him as rebel) to be a winner. Great player to have as eye candy too. 9. Yohwan : Great DM player,terrible MM player. Actually Yohwan could make the game interesting for his behaviour,but the rules in S2 (Token of Immortality) make Sangmin so invicible that season in MM and the other players are so poor and non cooperative that Yohwan portrayed as nuisance. He could've done more with this season cast as from episode 1-2, Junseok and Yoohyun seems the perfect team for him. 10. Yeonseung : Not the smartest player (his 2 eliminations in both season due to him being outplayed) but a good character to have in set. Calm and (looks like) honest player,so it's refreshing to see another side of him this season in E4. 11. Yoonsun : Arguably the unluckiest player ever in history of The Genius,eliminated by Hyunmin and Yohwan where the game favour her opponent more. I think her downfall is she can't be a good ally like Kyungran,as she jump ships quickly to whichever side benefit her the most. Still think she could done better in 1v1 game agains 12. Jungmoon : I give her the chance after E5 as i think it's the situation which makes her admitted she's the rebel and begging in that episode,but in the last 3 episodes she just shows that she just want to survive at all cost.Every player want to survive,but the worst of all Jungmoon have no solid strategy at all. It seems she simply want to avoid being last place at all cost but forget if she isn't a winner she still can be picked for DM and after 3 episodes it's clear every remaining player know that Jungmoon betrayed everyone 13. Junghyun : Good character to have in chaotic season 2 where his calm and honest character make him more likable compared to other contestant but let's be honest he never bring anything to the game itself. Good thing he is the first to be eliminated Rank for remaining players i want to stay 1. Kyunghoon : Most entertaining character for me. Add to that he's not only entertaining but also show the genius side of him this season. I thought i'll never say this but i'll miss him the most if he end up getting eliminated 2. Junseok : Like him,i also don't really like dominant player/alliance. Yohwan and Yoohyun message where both of them hoping the players will be more vicious is to make the game interesting and Junseok so far able to do that (although recent episodes this role kinda overshadowed by Jungmoon annoying act) 3. Jinho : I still hope he can shine when there is less player. I think what makes him interesting that although he's season 1 winner,he never so dominant that season unlike Sangmin and Dongmin in S2 and S3 respectively. So when i see Sangmin/Dongmin being a leader and became main influence,there is side of me that want them gone because i'm curious how the other players will cope without them but with Jinho i just want to see another individual greatness from him 4. Hyunmin : His most memorable moment this season is when his plan totally read by other teams and in the end being the elimination candidate. Dongmin influence is so huge for him that i'm eager to see Hyunmin working without him again. In Jury Game,he proved he can plan something on his own so i want to see it again because i know he's capable to do it. 5, Dongmin : He's so dominant which make the show too Dongmin centered for me. I love him,like i love Sangmin. But like i want to see how the show will be without influenced too much by Sangmin,i'm curious to see how the players will act without Dongmin 6. Kyungran : For me she is the least smartest player out of remaining player so even if she stayed i want to see the individual side of her like she showed in 5:5 game

Good riddance,finally. The last 3 main matches have been quite mediocre compared to its potential as Jungmoon always betrayed her team and the worst of all,getting recognized. Jinho didn't even make a deal to save her and instead returning the favor to Jinho earlier move she tried to escape the doubt from Dongmin by folding. At least now she's gone the main matches will be better with all the remaining players willing to play and not scared going into death match. It's refreshing to see Kyunghoon attitude when he accept he'll go to DM for his alliance. And Kyunghoon definitely prove his worth this season. The first time ever Same Picture Hunt end with the player finish instead falling off first. Luck played part in it but the better player definitely won. Bye Jungmoon,arguably the worst woman player ever in The Genius history. I thought Yeonjoo last season/Jaekyung in season 2 are the worst in game sense as they are absolutely useless in MM but at least they aren't annoying as much as Jungmoon

I don't think he still hold the grudge towards Jinho and his act on the opening of episode 1 surely just a joke. Until episode 6,his focus seems to be against large alliances/dominant players like Dongmin and Sangmin so if the preview turns out true and he works with Dongmin,it'll bring another dynamic to the show

By the way,i expect the next MM to have "surprising" gimmick to the card. In the previous seasons,episode 7 always been the episode where the PD put a clue in the game property to enable twist S1 : Open Pass S2 : God's Judgement S3 : Constellation Game (Hidden star clue in the card but it's way too hard even for the curious Hyunmin LOL)

Yeah,imagine if it was Dongmin who found the secret of the card in the Open Pass,the storyline may have changed and Dongmin will use that knowledge to his alliance instead. Just showing how the game turned out will be decided by the players' gamestyle

You never know though with this set of players,especially Hyunmin they can always make a strategy to back someone to be a winner or to make someone sole loser. I really hope it isn't ended that way though as so far i think the games this season (the MM,as the DM only recycling previous seasons') have been designed brilliantly. Such a shame since Sangmin gone,the way it's executed not quite reached the level it could've been

I agree with you. The way the game set up makes it possible for any type of alliance to play. Even the lonely player can simply try to get leftover garnet by always picking beggar so i think it's quite unfortunate that there is only 2 alliances here. The spies also make it quite hard for Junseok team as it's become very difficult for them. The Genius should just stop here though. By able to control Kyunghoon and utilize him, Dongmin already deserve the title LOL. To be honest after 3 recent episodes,i don't mind at all if Kyunghoon win this season. He is smart and very entertaining after all. Who would have thought i will say that after the first 3 episodes?

Good Main Match. The rule is interesting and gives a lot of room to variety of strategies. Kyunghoon did his job as a spy perfectly,i need to give him credit for that. His acting when he choose cartel is so believable haha. Jungmoon once again just begging to avoid in the death match. Quite disappointing Junseok pick Yeonseung considering both of them worked together in episode 4. Monorail is such a good DM but PD must've had a hard time to build tension and pace around it as both in season 3 and 4,it finished in short time. Kyunghoon REALLY have a solution for Monorail,he isn't kidding. Hell,he may even beat Hyunmin. Maybe we've underestimated him too much. Jungmoon,you need to leave now

Messed up the number when it's rebel's turn? She could've given them actual number for loyalist turn to gain their trust but she could've written fake number when it's the rebels turn

On a side note,after the episode 5 it means 10 different players already gone to death match. That's a new record in The Genius. And with Jinho and Dongmin already participating as helper in Tactical Yutnori,it means only Jungmoon out of 13 player this season never be in DM. After episode 5,certainly i hope she'll be in DM. If she lose,i guess it's no big loss. If she win i hope she can come stronger and show she is worthy of a place

Yeah,i think it's quite unlucky for the PD too that Jungmoon is the one who picked the rebel. Her previous experience in the Zombie Game certainly worry her and the initial doubt from Kyunghoon once she got out from the dealer room,she practically need to gain the loyalist trust. Telling she knows the pi pattern isn't necessarily bad thing. Instead she could've do that to both gain trust from loyalist and creating chance for the rebels. She could arrange the true number for loyalist and fake number for rebels as there is no one even able to know pi pattern unless you know it (as it can't be calculated). I think this is where she could've done better. In the situation where Dongmin accused her,i know many of us theoretically know she should've handled it better,but to be honest i would feel intimidated too by sudden question like that from Dongmin. I mean it's not ideal play from her but as it's Jungmoon it's quite understandable. If this show were scripted obviously PD will pick Hyunmin/Dongmin as rebel who clearly have the ability to handle the role well

It is probably the lamest episode of season 4 so far. Even the PD find it hard in terms of editing to make it more exciting. Many will accuse Jungmoon in this episode as she betrays her team and begging safety to Dongmin,but honestly i can't see the other way she can escape that situation. At the time Dongmin doubt her,i think no one else even thinking she is the rebel as she helped the loyalist for the number pattern. Dongmin is simply superb at reading people, she even know Kyungran is the rebel from the start. If Kyungran and Yoohyun are not the ones in the jail at that time,Jungmoon may find a better way to escape and safe the rebel team. It would be nonsense for her to accuse one loyalist as the others may not believe her and she'll have bigger chance to be taken to the jail at the final round. I think the result is decided once Dongmin doubt Kyungran Kyungran did the best though to save herself. Honestly even until the final moment i think she is loyalist. Even Jinho and Hyunmin seems fooled by Kyungran act. Yoohyun sacrificed himself hoping the other 2 will find a way but i think he also made critical mistake when getting found out by Kyunghoon. Special mention once again for Kyunghoon who once again prove to be useful for the team. Shame to see Yoohyun go though,especially in the same way Jinho eliminated in season 2. He did nothing wrong in DM IMO but Dongmin coaching once again is very helpful to Kyungran. I think this episode just shows how powerful Dongmin as a player. He has capability to play in brain-esque game better than Sangmin,but also have superb social control and people reading unlike Jinho

LOL at that BTS, Hyunmin sure love to act. Actually if Kyunghoon manage to have useful work and not ruining things in the grand scheme like he did in this episode,i wouldn't mind him to be around for longer. He utilised his image in this episode for Yoohyun which is good and that's how i want him to approach future episodes. He's fun character to be in the game,especially with Sangmin not around anymore

i understand spoiler for latest episode aired in Saturday when it's not subbed yet,hence i always OH forum when the episode still not subbed as i want to avoid spoiler at all costs. But,when i already watch the subbed version i love reading spoiler about the episode when it hasn't been subbed yet as there are a lot of interesting discussion and argument. However in the last previous pages i have seen posts with spoiler tags which says containing info about this season progress and even though i can avoid it for now, it may become danger to others too. Someone else might quote it only without reading it,but may end up read it. I've seen someone decide not read this thread anymore because that BIG spoiler,not the aired episode spoiler

The latest episode just show it's blessing in disguise to see Sangmin leave early. We can see Kyunghoon try to work together with other player and only one step away from victory itself, Yeonseung who only categorized as "sheep" before this episode made fantastic play. Dongmin may have great social skills and intuition itself,but i guess if Sangmin in Dongmin position this MM, Sangmin would've noticed Junseok/Kyunghoon behaviour. Sangmin elimination certainly bring unpredictable element of surprise to the game

That was a great episode once again And by the way can everyone just agree to just share the spoiler for latest episode only,not for the season overall itself? I see some major spoiler in previous pages and lucky not to read it,but i worry it may happen again in the future. I love watching spoilers about latest episode when i watched the subbed version but reading the spoiler about the next 3-4 episodes is too much

3 episodes and 6 different players have gone to DM. For Death Match,i think in 3 episodes so far player who lost MM has chosen their opponents wisely apart from Junghyun who seems still angry at Junseok's act. Yohwan pick Yeonseung who i also consider the less brainiest among 6-man alliances and Sangmin understandably pick Kyunghoon,who he thought will be weak mentally. Actually at this stage,apart from Dongmin,Hyunmin and Junseok who has shown something significant throughout 3 episodes,i don't mind any of them go to DM next episode and show their worth. Here is why : 1. Kyungran : Apart from top 3 in S1 she never played in DM (although she played some of them in the final) so it'll be interesting to see what she can do in other type of individual games. 2. Yoonsun : I think she's quite unlucky when getting eliminated in S2,playing against Yohwan in games that favour Yohwan more. She looks a lot calmer this season and shown good strategy even though being ignored in E2 3. Jungmoon : Mixed season so far for her. Shown good survival instinct in E1 but stupid mistake in E3. Her IQ always been her plus point but so far she always used as the secondary brain (alongside Hyunmin) in big alliance so i think she needs to prove her worth in the individual game 4. Yeonseung : Let's be honest,his win in E2 DM is all due to Dongmin. I think he's the player that got least screentime in 3 episodes,even after going into DM. I know he's nice person but even if he choose to play in alliance,you still need to do something other than following the plan. 5. Yoohyun : Tried to working together with Jinho in Ep2 but failed miserably. Other moment when spotted Sangmin pick his card but not really influential to the result at the end. I always think Yoohyun has good potential as he has good understanding of the game but always end up as poor man Hyunmin. Still quite disappointed with his shock defeat against Yeonjoo last season so won't be disappointed if he end up in DM and win it 6. Kyunghoon : If he prove,he can win DM again surely it's time to love Kyunghoon more? I still prefer him to go though 7. Jinho : At this time,after humiliation in Yohwan death match,i think it'll be good for Jinho to revive his status in DM. He needs turning point this season,and just like season 1 when he beat Gura, beating other contender in DM will boost his confidence. Imagine him beating Dongmin/Hyunmin and people will feel scared of him again

You can call it like that but arguably you simply cannot compared the remaining cast with S3 just because gender similarity. Kyungran,Jungmoon and Yoonsun all have better understanding of games than Ahyoung,Yeonjoo or Soojin. I know in the broadcast Jungmoon seems hasn't done anything much but from the glimpse of Episode 1 ,you can tell that she had better survival instinct compared to S1. The best scenario will be Jungmoon vs Kyunghoon DM in next episode with Jungmoon win in Quattro. Jongbum got the guts to nerve the Min alliance last season,but he simply isn't as smart as Junseok/Jinho. Either of Junseok or Jinho also get similar leadership skill compared to Jongbum and in DM either of them will be tougher to beat. Junghoon was basically useless player anyway so no point comparing him to Jinho/Junseok. I don't think we should ever worry this will turn into DMin-HMin domination again like in the S3. Just like we shouldn't worry this will turn into Sangmin domination again after 2 episodes.

Storyline aside,i think the latest main match is a really good main match from possible play point of view. Although the trick in the game itself isn't as complicated as Open Pass, God's Judgement or even the 2nd round Main Match,i really like the game designed. Although it's somewhat similar to Prisoner's Dilemma but it also allows the opportunity to make an alliance. I kinda feel disappointed though because we could have a better play with this MM. I believe small alliance is what's best for this type of game. Only when Kyunghoon ruin the game then the other need to push 1 person (Hyunmin) to avoid KHoon-SMin got the token and other players basically just followed the plan. So many potential with this game,and although we got some good moments in this episode,it becomes the question of ''what ifs''. Honestly the game this season has been designed very well. Usually the game in early stage are slow paced and meant to be for big alliance game however this season games has been spesifically designed to avoid those things. Only because SMin-KHoon the games can't really fulfill its potential and the games change direction from what it should be

By the way after episode 3,i think it means Sangmin is the only player in this season that has 0% success rate in DM? Junseok and Kyunghoon are the other players that hasn't won a DM before this season begin. Just shows Sangmin overall strategy to be honest. He is considerably weaker in DM so that's why he need to try to dominate MM. Luckily this season have more unpredictable and quick witted people unlike season 2 so Sangmin can be in DM as early as episode 3. If this show is scripted,i doubt producer will want him to leave so early like this as he's basically the one who create the most broadcasting worthy moment than anyone else.
