  1. Yeri has always been loose lipped. It's one of her many charms.
  2. Gong Yoo now playing ddajki with the CEO of BBC as we speak. Seriously jokes aside, I do hope for the girls and the staff's sake this gets resolved somehow. They all deserve better.
  3. Is Hyorin's solo stuff flopping due to the bullying rumors? I'm surprised because Sistar were one of my ult groups and I always assumed that Hyorin success from the group would continue when she went solo, so I'm surprised to see that they're pretty equal with each other post disbandment aka one girl isn't blowing the other three out of the water.
  4. I'm curious why do you think RV will lose one member and who would it be?
  5. I'm not a ONCE so I don't really have a stake in this but I think a plausible scenario is that the majority of the members will resign but a couple probably won't. Which to me is normal since they are such a large group, there are bound to be one or two girls who want to leave and purse opportunities. However, I have noticed that they don't have as many individual opportunities compared to BP & RV, so hopefully those that do decide to renew will able to have more freedom to purse their individual goals as well.
  6. He's just mad that Red Velvet hasn't had a comeback in close to 2 years. He'll be changing his tune by August. (Sarcasm)
  7. They're probably saying this is going to be the end of April and for the fans to give the members one last "hug" before everyone moves on.
  8. Actress Seo Ye Ji has been embroiled in numerous controversies, which lead to several netizens speculating and questioning her academic background. In response, Seo Ye Ji's agency dismissed the speculations by stating, "It is a fact the Seo Ye Ji was accepted to 'Complutense University of Madrid' and prepared to attend, but she was not able to attend the college regularly because of her activities in Korea." Seo Ye Ji stated that she attended college in Spain in various interviews and entertainment shows in the past. Hence, many netizens took an interest in whether she was accepted into the Complutense University of Madrid. Media outlet Yonhap News reached out to the university for comment. The university told Yonhap News, "We cannot check if Seo Ye Ji was accepted into our university since it is a private matter. According to our guidelines, we do not disclose whether a student is accepted or not." In addition, the Korean embassy in Spain also stated, "We have the information of the status of the Korean students studying abroad, but we do not collect data on the acceptance of the students in colleges." The Complutense University of Madrid is one of Spain's most prestigious national universities and one of the longest history schools in Europe. There is a screening process for foreign exchange students, but the admission qualification is not lenient, and the language training course is also strict. Therefore, some netizens argue that Seo Ye Ji should personally certify her acceptance to settle the allegations against her. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/04/complutense-university-of-madrid-makes-a-statement-about-seo-ye-jis-alleged-acceptance-into-their-university
  9. Source: Insight via Instagram 1. [+206] Are you not going to apologize~~~? 2. [+179] Funny ㅋㅋㅋ Seolhyun is an accomplice, no/ 3. [+104] Seolhyun-ah, I better not see you crawling back out on TV again, seriously 4. [+53] None of this will be over until she apologizes to the victim and shows a period of reflection. Who does she think she is? Japan? 5. [+33] Genuinely apologize~ 6. [+21] Just don't ever come back 7. [+34] Well Mina started off by saying Shin Jimin was the one who bullied her and then after a while, she started naming Seolhyun too, all because she made her "feel bad". The only story she could come up with on a live stream was that Seolhyun brought her dog to their dorm and she didn't like that because it was pooping and she demanded an apology over it. That was really the only thing she could come up with... how does that make Seolhyun an assailant? Is that really that big of a deal to be calling her an assailant over? ㅋㅋㅋ Seolhyun's videos have been spammed with hate comments ever since so of course they're going to take them down. 8. [+52] What's funny about this group's scandal is that Jimin left the group and that was that ㅋㅋㅋ 9. [+4] Way too early for Seolhyun to comeback right now... 10. [+3] AOA has such thick skin, how dare you come out anywhere right now http://netizenbuzz.blogspot.com/2021/03/seolhyuns-interview-video-set-to.html
  10. Why are BESTie ranked? Did something happen with of their members? Also not trying to be rude, just pleasantly surprised
  11. Why give such lavish gifts to idols (Jennie and Joy) who are already rich enough to afford them and already probably own these items? I could never give something so expensive to someone I don't know much less a celebrity who can already afford it. Why not give to idols and groups who are struggling?
  12. Mamamoo and Red Velvet aren't going anywhere. Both are the peak of their careers and still have so much to offer to fans.
  13. 63 3 NEWS Posted by AmieAmore 3 hours ago Sunmi confesses she was diagnosed with a personality disorder AKP STAFF entertain.naver.com Sunmi confessed that she was diagnosed with a borderline personality disorder. The new episode of Mnet's 'Running Mates' that aired on December 16th showed the continuation of the girls Sunmi, EXID's Hani, Oh My Girls' YooA, Chung Ha, and LOONA's Chuu sharing their inner thoughts with one another. On this day, Sunmi said, "It's right for you to take a break if things are hard. The time I took a break was when I left Wonder Girls. At that time, it was more heartbreaking than my body hurting. I made my solo debut and joined Wonder Girls again, but I was given much time to think and I think those times I had to think to myself ate me away." Sunmi then confesses carefully, "I was diagnosed five years ago with a borderline personality disorder. That's what was bothering me, but I felt relieved because I got diagnosed and can get treatment, and I got better after taking medicine. Still, I had to resolve the fundamental thing because it's the people around the person with a borderline personality disorder that goes through a lot of difficulties" and began shedding tears. She continued to say, "Probably that was the time I really had to stop briefly. To be honest, we debuted so young and started our life in society. We spent our time in a car during the age when the sense of oneself even formed. That's why it's more important for us to look back at ourselves and ask what do we like to do, what we are good at. It's also important for us to cater to our own emotions. So I started to realize a little bit that I passed puberty, and I'm better now. I decreased my medication." Then Sunmi added, "I'm strong, no I became stronger." Meanwhile, borderline personality disorder refers to a serious mental illness characterized by instability in moods, interpersonal relationships. Symptoms include emotional instability, feelings of worthlessness, insecurity, impulsivity, and impaired social relationships. https://www.allkpop.com/article/2020/12/sunmi-confesses-she-was-diagnosed-with-a-personality-disorder
  14. Red Velvet, an all-female Korean supergroup comprising five young pop stars—Irene (Bae Joohyun), Seulgi (Kang Seulgi), Wendy (Shon Seungwan), Joy (Park Sooyoung), and Yeri (Kim Yerim)—was created in 2014 by SM Entertainment, a company that has helped develop and popularize the global K-pop phenomenon. In their still-nascent career, they have released countless songs with frothy titles such as “Power Up,” “Dumb Dumb,” and “Umpah Umpah”—all packaged into two studio albums, one reissue album, one compilation album, and 11 EPs. As they continue their worldwide expansion, following in the footlights of BTS and Blackpink, they have played sold-out American shows, secured endorsement deals with everyone from Coca-Cola to Prada, broken streaming records for their contribution to the 2020 animated film Trolls World Tour, and added Korean lyrics to a remix of the song “Close to Me,” by Ellie Goulding and Diplo. There’s a duality to their identity that they’ll explain later, which is why we could think of no one better to ask them a few questions than Diplo, a dance-hall legend with a penchant for country. ——— DIPLO: Tell me about your name. Why are you called Red Velvet? RED VELVET: Red Velvet is a combination of “red,” representing our bold, more sophisticated side, and “velvet,” which reflects our softer, more feminine side. The name encapsulates our signature color and describes who we are as artists, and what we want to accomplish: to captivate the world with great music and performances of different genres and styles. DIPLO: What separates you from your K-Pop peers? In what ways are you trying to distinguish yourselves? RED VELVET: As embodied by our group name, we have our own unique color that can be seen in everything that we do: “red” for the vivid and bold, and “velvet” for more of our soft, toned-down side. This is what makes us different from other artists. DIPLO: What are some of the things you love about America? RED VELVET: We love that we can experience and easily access a wide variety of different cultures. DIPLO: When you’re traveling, what do you miss most about home? RED VELVET: When we’re abroad for work, we’re constantly on the move—to new hotels, new cities, and new environments. It can get pretty lonely sometimes, especially when we’re alone in our hotel rooms at night. That’s when we miss being together with our families and our pets. DIPLO: What is your go-to room service order? RED VELVET: We always order steak when we order room service. Always. DIPLO: What’s it like for you walking down the street in South Korea? RED VELVET: We usually cover our faces with a hat and a mask so there is no problem walking down the streets here. If we act natural, we blend right in. DIPLO: How have your lives changed since starting the band in 2014? RED VELVET: We feel like the change hasn’t been too dramatic, but seeing fans support us from all around the world makes us emotional every time. It never ceases to amaze us that we get this support and love, and we are so incredibly grateful for all of it. Our fans inspire us to work harder every day and to spread more positive energy. DIPLO: What’s the craziest thing a fan has ever done or given you? RED VELVET: At our very first event, shortly after our debut, we didn’t yet have an official light stick, so our fans were cheering us on with these dusters—that you use to clean—because they were the same color as our hair back then. That was a pretty memorable sight. DIPLO: What would each of you be doing if you weren’t in the entertainment business? RED VELVET: This is easy for Joy. She loves children and dogs, so she’d probably be working to become a certified dog trainer or teaching kindergarten. DIPLO: Where would you like to see yourselves as a band in ten years? RED VELVET: Enjoying life to the fullest, always smiling, and doing what makes us happy. DIPLO: Besides me, which American artist would you most like to collaborate with? RED VELVET: Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, and Tori Kelly. Editor’s Note: The band’s fifth member, Wendy (not pictured), is still recovering from the trauma of a serious stage accident that occurred in December 2019. ——— Hair: Soon E and Seo Ha Yoon Makeup: Woori Ko, A Ryeom Jeon, and Kyoung Mee Shin Photography Assistants: Lee Seunghyung and Taemin Red Velvet Stylist: Mirim Lee Red Velvet Fashion Assistant: Sangeun Han Fashion Assistants: Jang Boyoung and Park Chorok https://www.interviewmagazine.com/music/red-velvet-takes-diplo-inside-the-life-of-a-k-pop-supergroup
