  1. Hello there.

I assumed you've been told to clear your cache, restart your browser/computer/modem? Have you already tried logging in through incognito mode?

If nothing else solved the issue, then you may contact Sadface about it. ^^

Yes I recall that, I was asking if this is the right time to contact the admin like sadface to look into that.

  2.

i get that page myself sometimes when i  try to go on my own profile

our advice is: clear your cache, restart your browser, refresh a few times

if all those things do not work, please feel free to contact admin sadface :)

OK, I'll see if that page pop up again on other thread and if it doesn't and only that one I mention got it.  I'll have the admin check out that thread and see if there a virus or malware on that one

  3. Billboard already wrote an article about Like a cat: http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/k-town/6312262/aoa-like-a-cat-mv-video

I'm talking about the song being played on Sirius Radio.  It'll be just like how Billboard reported on 2NE1 I am the best got US radio airplay and BBC Radio 1 playing K-pop in the UK.  Expect one on how AOA's like a Cat got on Sirius Radio. Now you know what I'm talking about.

  4. Saw that just last night.  I kinda like the other episode with AOA better IMO.

Oh and just in case if people missed this: AOA's like a cat got radio airplay in the US on Sirius Radio, you can read about it:

    Koreaboo

    Kpopstarz

Sirius XM Hits 1 Radio's tweet confirming AOA like a Cat was played on their airwave

Just a follow up to my comment, I notified Jeff Benjamin, Billboard's K-pop writer for K-town.  He's looking into this after I told him on Twitter and looks like a Billboard article on this may happen at some point.   :)

  5. Guys I want to give an update.  According to Koreaboo, Ashley, Zuny, and Sojung are now aware of Rise's passing, I'll quote:

On September 7th, Polaris Entertainment revealed that the three members were told of RiSe’s passing and has released an update about their condition.

The three members are still in the hospital as Sojung is recovering from her facial fractures, while Ashley and Zuny continue treatment for their minor injuries.

According to the agency, “Sojung is feeling deep sorrow after hearing about EunB and RiSe. Ashley and Zuny, who are admitted in the same hospital, are comforting Sojung. The three members are relying on each other to overcome this difficult time.†

On one of my previous post, I mention EunB's death got a lot of attention worldwide from mainstream media.  Now Rise's death is now getting the same attention from around the world:

    Billboard

    BBC News

    Metro UK

    Wall Street Journal

    International Business Times

  6. It has been very quiet for the past 5-6 hours on the news front. This somewhat relaxes me, because I don't want more bad news, but at the same time I'm feeling that it has been too quiet.

Has there really been no more press releases from Polaris or other news sources in Korea?

That's why the translators are working on that.  Also I recommend monitoring all K-pop news site (Kpopstarz, DKpopnews, Mwave, Koreaboo, HelloKpop, Omonatheydidn't, Billboard, etc..) to see if any more information come out.

  7. From my understanding of that accident, he did not have any brain damage tho?

Not only has RiSe suffered from brain damaged, but her heart stopped beating 3 times (according to the articles). And when that happens, oxygen is not pumped to the brain, so the damage could become even worse :/

Kyuhyun may not had brain damage, but his lung was punctured and he was in a coma for 4 days, and you know if the lung was damaged, it would effect how the oxygen goes to the brain.  But I will agreed Kyuhyun and Rise injuries was different.  But I'm praying and hoping the same miracle that helped Kyuhyun can make it's appearance again in Rise.

I don't know how damaged her brain is, but I'll have to assume she could be in a coma in this situation.

To be honest with you, and I want to say this: I wish the dream device from Inception was real.  If it was real, Kyuhyun could go inside Rise's subconcious and try to help Rise to be conscious again.  This is the only time I wish a fictional device exist in real life.

  8. It also depends on what parts of her brain that is damaged. As someone else mentioned (not sure where it was), the brain works in a way that if parts of it is damaged, other parts of the brain picks up the workload. And the doctors don't know how bad it is yet, they have to first make sure that she survives, then do the appropriate surgeries, and after all that it can take weeks before they see what problems the damage might have caused.

We need to be realistic, it does not look very good. But miracles have happened before, and she has the very best surgeon South Korea has to offer. So there is hope :) We all just have to cross our fingers and wait.

I'm hoping the same miracle that helped Super Junior's Kyuhyun can do the same on Rise.  Remember Kyuhyun was unconscious for 4 days after that accident in 2007, he somehow recovered.  I'm hoping this same miracle that helped Kyuhyun can helped Rise.

  9. I'll hate to be a negative Nancy here. The reason why this news is going global is not because of popularity of K-POP, or should I say relevancy of K-POP, it's because it's too damn tragic. A girl following her dream just lost her life. It effects everyone in a way. Most people have dreams so they can sympathize. It's an easy article to make money from and follow up articles will also earn money because people who sympathized remain curious about the aftermath.

Anyway, have to be negative Nancy again... I do want Rise to live, however, is it really the best? If she regains consciousness and finish her surgeries, the brain would still be demaged. Brain demage might be very severe, and well, vegetable state is very possible :(

No, mainstream US media wouldn't have given Ladies Code attention if K-pop wasn't that big, that's why they reported on it (K-pop's popularity did this).  Ladies Code never debuted in the US yet they're getting media coverage from E! Online (which has never delved into K-pop) and MTV.  I mean let me ask you this: why would E! Online and MTV, and Associated Press be giving Ladies Code this much coverage when they're not globally known like Psy or Girls Generations, 2NE1, or BigBang?  Ladies Code accident and Eunbi's death is being treated like any other US celebs death.

I too would be sad if Rise's brain damage is too severe and she become a vegetative state.

Back on topic: just got this from Koreaboo:  LADIES’ CODE’S ASHLEY AND ZUNY READMITTED TO HOSPITAL AFTER EUNB’S FUNERAL

Also I'm hearing stuff from Twitter that Ladies Code manager (the one that people said he died in the accident), there's report he just passed away.  I can't confirmed this yet, but I'm waiting for confirmed information to back this up.  For now, the LC's manager that passed away just now treat it like a rumor.

  10. Good there is some positive news about Sojung... I really hope Rise will recover quickly :(

I hope Sojung's mental state can handle it, she'll be told of Eunbi's death according to Hellokpop.  I don't know how she'll take it.

Also while people are passing news on Twitter about Eunbi's death, did you guys know Ladies Code accident and Eunbi's death has been getting attention from around the world: even the US mainstream media gave it a lot of attention.

    Fuse TV

    Billboard

What surprise me is that several mainstream US media took notice of this despite Ladies Code never done a US debut (let alone a English-language album or singles):

    Wall Street Journal

    Huffington Post

    Associated Press

But what really surprise me is that Mainstream US Entertainment news is reporting on Ladies Code and Eunbi's death.  A lot of time these mainstream entertainment news when it comes to K-pop only talk about Psy, but this is the first time they're paying attention to lesser well-known act like Ladies Code.

E! Online (Yes, E! Online has for the first time has dive into the world of K-pop by talking about Eunbi's death):

E! Online first article on Ladies Code accident and Eunbi's death

E! Online second article talking about Eunbi's funeral

MTV (yes, the MTV not MTV K or MTV Iggy reported on Eunbi's death, MTV treated this like if Ladies Code became a household name in the US):

MTV first article report on Eunbi's death and Ladies Code fatal accident

MTV 2nd article: K-Pop’s Ladies Code Were Primed For Stardom Before Tragic Death Of EunB

Also Hollywood Life has several articles talking about it:

    article 1

    article 2

    article 3

it's not only US that's taken notice, the UK has also taken special notice:

Metro's report on Eunbi's death and Ladies Code

    Popcrush reported on it

and given K-pop's mainstream popularity in Latin America (where some group like Super Junior, SNSD, MLBAQ, U-KISS, 2PM are household name in that area), her death got a lot of attention from Peru and Brazil.

Brazil's PlayTV reported on Eunbi's death

Peru's Trome reported on Eunbi's death too:

Trome first report on Eunbi's death

Trome second article on Eunbi's death

I was so surprised to see how much attention Eunbi's death is getting around the world.  It tells me one thing: K-pop has really made the mainstream, and Ladies Code will be known to non K-pop fans.  This is the power of K-pop, people have underestimated K-pop's global popularity and it's global impacts/influences.

  11. I got this from Officially Kmusic: Ashley and Zuni Attend EunB’s Funeral but Official Updates Scarce on Ladies Code Tragedy

I'll quote this part of the article:

One of the most pressing questions on everyone’s mind right now is over RiSe‘s condition. She is still in the neurological intensive care unit and is unable to be moved. A hospital official spoke to Korea Daily and addressed her condition: ““Right now the biggest concern is whether she will be able to survive or not. She has yet to regain consciousness. She is still in neurosurgical intensive care to address the significant injuries to the head.†The official was asked about her long-term prognosis and if there was a risk of neurological problems when she does wake up, they responded with, “Miss Kwon remains in critical condition. The most immediate issue is her survival. That they interrupted her surgery shows how serious her condition is.†Aside from these statements, nothing else has been revealed today about RiSe’s condition. In heartbreaking commentary, EunB‘s mother said, “Rise will be fine. Do not worry about it. EunB will protect Rise.†Fans have expressed their fervent desire for this to be true as they feel that they, and her family would be unable to withstand any other outcome.

Ashley and Zuni were told about EunB’s death and attended her wake. Both girls spoke but the content has not been divulged. There are heartbreakingly emotional photos being released of the funeral. Normally we would share them with you, but they are so painful to look at, we decided to give you the option to see them by clicking here. This second link is even sadder as it shows EunB’s coffin being moved for her final journey. The two relatively uninjured members can be seen openly grieving, having to be supported by others. One can only imagine how their hearts are breaking right now. EunB will be cremated and laid to rest in Skycastle Memorial Park in Bundang.

So yes, EunB body is going to be cremated.
