  1. So now that all three concerts are over and I've finally managed to calm myself a bit down I thought I should share something from what has probably been the most memorable weekend of my life

    This is long lol

To hear Taeyeon sing live has been my biggest wish for the past six years and I still can't believe my dream finally came true. As amazing as it was to meet her at fanmeets nothing can compare to seeing her perform. She exceeded my expectations in every possible way and I didn't even think that would be possible.

Her vocals were incredible, her charisma off the charts and it's amazing how she's able to adapt to so many different styles.

As a fan it makes me so proud to see how much she has improved and evolved as a singer. She's so confident on stage now and as the audience you could literally feel how much she enjoys singing and performing. She seemed so so happy! During the talking segments she was all cute and funny and even tho my Korean is not that good I usually understood at least somewhat what she was talking about. The way she interacts with the audience is great and I love how she tries her best to reply to everyone's screams.

I'm also really happy with the set list as she basically sung all my favorite songs, except for I Love You but I didn't expect her to sing that anyway. Whenever I listen to her songs now I'll be able to relieve the concert experience an I'm so grateful for that. Also, it's really fascinating seeing how a song performed live can change your opinion about it. Before the concert I almost never listened to any of the songs from the Why album (uuups) but after the concert Hands On Me has found a special place in my heart. The stage for that one was so fun! Especially with the fan project on the second day. Same thing with Cover Up. She's really going all out trying to make me a fan of that song lol. First the lyric video and now the performance.

After the first concert day I was trying to decide on my favorite performance, but I have now realized that it's impossible to choose just one. Each day a different performance stood out to me. But the stages that left the biggest impact on me were probably:

Fire -  because it's my favorite Taeyeon song and the performance was well fire

Secret - also one of my favorites and the performance I found the most emotional. I couldn't stop crying when she performed it on the last day and Taeyeon seemed almost on the verge of tears too

Rain - I was a bit surprised by how much I loved the Rain performances because it's a song she has performed so much and it's not among my absolute faves. But something about the way she interacted with the audience during the song really got to me

I'm Okay - the instrumental with the live band was EPIC! And she looked so cool while performing it. Bullshit baby!!

Time Lapse - well, it's Time Lapse..

There were a lot more too like the 11:11/Why mashup, I, Fine, Eraser, I Blame On You and so on but the ones above were probs the best imo. I also loved how they used Curtain Call as the encore song. It fit perfectly! Before I went to the concert Curtain Call was such a feel good song for me, but now it makes me so emotional

All in all every single concert day was perfect, but the last day was my favorite because she talked longer during the talking segments so we got to see her more and she did some creative vocal and ad lib changes during some of the songs which was really cool. And I didn't cry the other days but I cried so much on the last day lol

I'm sad everything is over and I'm already looking forward to her next concert in Korea. Please go to Busan or something soon pls pls pls. If not I'll definitely fly back to Korea next year to see her again!

  2. The Story Op. 2 is so good, Jonghyun is a genius and I we're so blessed. Lonely is absolutely beautiful and Jonghyun and Taeyeon sound perfect together. And don't even get me started on Let Me Out, I was blown away when I listened to it. Possibly my favorite Jonghyun song, it's that good. And I've fallen in love with Elevator and Warm Winter/Our Season again

Can't wait to get my copy of the album. I also might try to get into one of the fansigns

  3. I'm so happy with how Lonely turned out. Jonghyun and Taeyeon's voices fit perfectly together and they both sounded beautiful rlytearpls.png I hope they do even more collabs in the future as they are both two of my favorite artists and I think a lot of the stuff Jonghyun composes  fit Taeyeon's voice very well

I'm positive she could've sold out the 12k Impact Arena in Bangkok and I will be forever salty about it... My hopes of getting a ticket has gone down to like 1%... ohdearplz.png

I adore Lonely, it's depressing as hell but the lyrics Taeyeon was given really suited her imo with what she previously said about wanting to be alone/keep things to herself.

And excuse me for going a bit off topic but seeing how we have a few SHINee fans here, how is Jonghyun doing this whole Story Op thing? I read that apparently SM is hardly involved? If SM artists are still allowed to release stuff in an unoffical way like this why do people like Amber and Henry complain?

Idk if it answers your question, but the Story Op are compilation albums with songs produced almost entirely by Jonghyun. Many of them were previously released through his Blue Night radio show. I think SM has little to no involvement in the actual album production as that is done by Jonghyun and his crew, but they definitely have to get involved involved in all other aspects of his promotions like MV filming, physical albums and concerts. I'm not gonna pretend to know anything about business, but I suppose Jonghyun is more profitable than Amber and Henry. He has a large fanbase, is generally liked by the public and is able to sell concert tickets and physical albums and make a profit even with an album that barely gets promoted, and that's probably why they let him do it.

  4. For Taeyeon, yes they do. Last time when the package went on sale in March (the one that was cancelled), some of the options sold out in 20 minutes, especially the cheapest ones.

So I'll have to make up my mind within the next hour then. Do you know what kind of seats you get for the cheapest packages?

And thank you again for being an angel and answering all my questions chuplz.png

  5. as long as you have your passport, it's fine.

Definitely. You buy and pay for the package, you'll get your tickets. Ticket war is tough, especially when it comes to Taeyeon. So I'll just go with global package.

Price depends on the hotel grade and how many concert dates you choose. I don't remember exactly, but currently the cheapest one for EXO 1 day concert is $400. It can go up to $1300 or more.

This time Taeyeon has 3 day concert so I bet it's gonna be so expensive.

I also think the higher the hotel grade, the better the seats you get

Ahh shiiit idk what to do. It's so expensive but I want to make sure I get those tickets. I think I might go for one ticket through the global package and then try for the other days through normal ticketing. Do the global package usually sell out fast?

  6. Basically you get concert ticket(s) (how many depends on the package you buy), accommodations, transportation from hotel to the venue and vice versa, 1 meal, snacks, souvenir, and get to pre-order the concert merchandises. It's expensive but it's worth it in my opinion.

Hmmm, the thing is I'm currently living in Korea so idk if I'm eligible to purchase the package or not. But I don't have a visa or anything so I guess that officially I'm just a tourist?

Is it easier to get tickets this way? And how expensive is it? I don't really need accommodations or anything like that, just tickets so idk if it's worth it for me
