At the 2019 end of year awards he still had his blue mic, but definitely this comeback he's been using a black one... that looks like Suga's, but Suga still has his... I feel like this often happens though with JYP... Before Twice Era, everyone was anticipating 6Mix as JYP nextGG with Lena being already a decided member, and probably center. She even featured in Sunmi's solo as a featured rapper and went to all the broadcasts w/ Sunmi... But Lena also dropped out at the last minute..., despite being a publicly announced member... So I guess what this tells us is that JYP will prob be able to still produce a successful girl group. Perhaps Somi decided the girl group they were going for wasn't the concept that she wanted... or Maybe she decided she wants another direction.. and after all the activities she's done already she certainly has the clout to decide that. TBH somi's an all-rounder. she' good in variety, she can prob sell enough as a solo artist to get CFs to make her a CF queen, and then break into acting... Also.. let's be honest, if Somi's in the next group, it will be "somi and the girls," and maybe she wanted to avoid a situation where it was like Miss A where Suzy's public recognition became so great that it overshadowed the group...

re: Nako vs Yunjin No doubt Yunjin's singing shows that's shes had a lot of vocal training, but I think there's a certain role to be said bout ppl with Nako type voice that's just naturally high and has a clear resonance, like many teachers have said about her, she makes the singing and dancing appear easy, she never looks like she's trying TOO hard, and I think there's a certain audience that appreciates that. Where as other audiences will feel like Yunjin is a more "Powerful" singer. But sometimes with the belters, it can start to sound strained or overkill, IE, the end of the song and her adlibs. She wasn't off tune or anything but she's obviously reaching/stretching her vocal cords. And obviously, Nako has room for improvement as well, if she has more vocal lessons, she will develop better technique, get rid of some of the nasal-ness and her advantage is that she has a good natural range (if you listen to her normal speaking voice in japanese, it's actually NOT that high). Also, I think she's smart b/c she knows her STAN audience, obviously she knows that cuteness/pureness is her advantage right now so she's choosing those songs that benefit her...

It's odd because in Korea, it really is very "taboo" for people to outright and admit that they joined an idol group for a stepping stone.

For those wondering about 48G contracts-- I don't believe the AKS/office48 agency is as strict as most agencies due to the sheer numbers of the girls and the lack of guarantee for most of these girls. That's why they are often able to announce "graduation" fairly freely. Usually once a member (esp the popular ones) decides they want to graduate, they discuss with management to decide on a good graduation date as their final farewell. This is so that they are able to wrap up any remaining CM/appearance contracts etc that they may have already agreed to. In fact, there was a time when AKS/office48 was actively trying to get their members to get signed into other major entertainment managements such as Horipro, Ohta Pro, Watanabe Pro. The idea is that other entertainment managements are better able to provide them a solid solo career in acting/singing/MC. Thus, It's not the custom for 48G members to be banned from signing onto new agencies or banned from TV appearance after graduation. Usually those that do disappear are either 1) never that popular to begin with to generate enough public interest to foster a solo career, or 2) had to "graduate" because of scandal so have poor public image and is unemployable.

Think the judging for Sakura and Jurina were spot on. From the clip, soyu was comparing sakura's composite points to someone elses... probably jurinas? And again, I think BYJ herself said this, for them it's hard to judge because the Korean standards are so different than JPN standards.

There has to be more to LY: Ki_Wonder than just the Euphoria song and video reel. The title of the video uploaded says "Euphoria: Theme of ...." For something to have a THEME, it has to be more than just the prologue video... right? I think perhaps "Euphoria" the song and this accompanying video reel itself is the prologue, therefore, "LY: Ki-Wonder" is still coming, either in the form of a single release or EP. (Perhaps Euphoria will end up being the hidden/bonus track on physical albums or something). Then the third installment is going to be in the fall of 2018, Then the finale of the series will be the beginning of 2019... Erhmahgaahd BH, I need more contents. Highlight Reel and Wonder:Euphoria, both end with the same shot of the horizon at sea. I wonder if that's the reset point each time. I think Jin goes back in time multiple times to try to find the AU where his friends can be happy but probably each time he runs into an obstacle where one of the group ends up being the "Omelas" child. IE. in the "Wonder: Euphoria" video, Jimin seems to be left alone because Hobi was sent to save Taehyung. Then, at the end, jungkook still seems to be the victim of an accident. Ultimately though, if you tie it into the prior videos, where Jin is the one that disappears from the photographs, I think he has to finally realize that there's no 100% fix where everyone, all 7, is happy. He accepts that truth that he can't save everyone, so he goes back in time one last time to fix things and he makes himself the Omelas child. I think ultimately, Jin will have to choose to sacrifice himself, either he goes back in time and makes an AU where he never meets the other 6, thereby changing their fates enough that the 6 of them escape tragedy, but in exchange, they never know Jin existed. That's why Jin disappears from the photos? Will BH one day put all this stuff together and release these videos as a movie or something please?

There is a possibility of JYP taking natty back tho. Miss A;s Min left JYP for ~ 1 year or so then returned.

Question: For those looking at HYYH notes; the "YEAR" part of the dates.... I saw some ppl interpret it as the last 2 digits of the 4 digit year. So they are presuming that all the year 22 notes occured in the same year... But can it also be that the year refers to their age at time of the note. So JK's note from year22 means JK is 22 at that time, and that note would actually be the last one... because all the hyung's last notes also occur in year 22. 22 years old is like western age 21; kinda makes sense since once you past 21 and enter your 20s, it's a different struggle from what you felt in your teens, which i think is largely what HYYH was about...

Like others have mentioned, TaeJin = bts edm subunit?! Not a bad idea... have those two do collaboration singles with edm DJs... V is very natural on stage in terms of being a hype man, and Jin... can just sway... how happy will he be that he doesn't have to remember choreo... lol. But in all seriousness, their voices fit this genre well.

"Ki- seung- jeon-gyul" is a 4 word proverb that describes the process of composition: Ki = beginning seung - development jeon - reversal gyul - conclusion. When they teach writing in Asian countries this 4 letter phrase is often used to describe each of the necessary portions of story-telling. I guess BTS is saying that then next few releases will fit into this scheme.

JJ project + mark, Jackson were set for the boy group, then yugyeom was added, but JYPE wanted another stronger vocal for the group, so they specifically did an audition search (not the public kind but the private audition where they hit up various music/vocal academies where a lot of kids go to take vocal lessons) for a male vocal. Youngjae was picked from that. We know this b/c Youngjae has said himself before he got recommended by the vocal teacher at his music academy that JYP was having this audition and he should try. After youngjae joined, I think they said he only trained about 7 months or so, mainly in dance, to catch up with the rest of the group. Probably around this same time frame. are all the concepts derived from different movies/franchises specifically or are they "general"? so far i can only name some of them.. Sana - card captor sakura Momo - ghost in the shell dahyun - hwang jini chaeyoung - ???? Nayoung - Scream Jihyo - Bring it on tzuyu - not sure, but something like Breakfast at Tiffany's?? Mina - ????? I know it's a japanese schoolgirl movie but i can't place it!?!? Jungyeon - ??????

She's gorg in this photo. I know she's been dieting, but I'm glad she seems to have done it in a healthy way with exercise (evidence abs), and good food choices... The evidence is that she doesn't look too thin, but her facial features got sharper (even before she just seemed like she was more puffy, a lot of that can be due to erratic eating), her body looks FIT and she is maintaining a glamorous figure. Jihyo fighting! Hope she keeps up her healthy image.

lol i think you are being too defensive. In no way did I suggest that Sohye didn't work hard enough to be an idol. But the fact is that Redline likely did not accept Sohye to be a singer/entertainer. Therefore, after her year with this project group, Sohye will go back to solely being managed by Redline. Who will most likely want to push her towards acting. Unless MNET somehow extends the lifespan of the group (which is unlikely given that many of the top 11 trainees are from big agencies who will definitely rather recollect these girls and debut them under their own company). For a lot of idols, it's really hard to get into acting even though a lot of them WANT to badly. For Sohye, it almost seems guaranteed that after this project group, her agency will be actively trying to use that public recognition to help get her casted in dramas or movies (which is what they SHOULD do if they're smart). Because as far as i know, redline wasn't planning to debut any girlgroups anytime soon and sohye was like one of the few trainees they had. One the other hand almost all of the other girls will be going back to their agencies to join yet again, another girl group. I'm just saying that I hope there won't be any bad blood because of that.

I think the problem with sohye is that she never wanted to be an IDOL. She joined an entertainment agency that's mainly for acting, so ultimately, I think her goal is to be an actress. And hopefully that doesn't rub the other girls the wrong way, because I think the majority of the top11 girls were trainees because they want to be singers/musicians... (I'm not saying they won't dabble in acting later, I'm sure some of them will). But yeah...
