It was a pretty insensitive and stupid comment, since after recent events it should be obvious that being in SM doesn't exactly help a person's mental health and on the balance of things he seemed a lot happier after he left.

The story was unusual because Hansol is quite private and never uses instagram to vent.

Australian cities are very far apart, and it can take multiple days to drive between them. A car would be good to see country towns, but for cities it's probably easiest to fly between them.

They haven't really debuted formally yet, so I guess that's why. Their Japan promotions and event are all before the debut on April. Even the other The UNI+ participants still have activities outside of UNB or UNI.T. And as of now, we know just how inconsistent KBS can be.

I think they will sound better when they are singing a song that was actually written for them - DWTD was a bit of a struggle fill in all the parts. People are still complaining they don't have enough vocalists, but a lot of kpop groups can manage without power vocals, they just sing songs that are properly suited to what they can do.

NewKidd member Ji Hansol was named as one of the top nine contestants on the finale of KBS2’s “The Unit.†The idol recently took part in an interview to share his thoughts on the show.

After wowing viewers with his dancing and performance skills, Ji Hansol came in sixth place with 78,504 votes during the live finale of the idol rebooting program. He is now a part of the nine-membered male project group Unit B. Ji Hansol commented, “It still doesn’t feel real. Thank you to the unit makers and fans for making me into one of the nine members.â€

Ji Hansol said he honestly didn’t expect to make it to the final nine, explaining, “They are all really skilled people, so I was just happy that I made it to the top 18 and didn’t think that I would be chosen as one of the final nine members. It was a day where I received so much love and it’s an honor to be a member of Unit B.â€

He revealed that he thought of his parents the most in that moment and thanked them. “I’m not good at expressing it, but thank you so much for taking care of me and cheering for me,†the idol said.

When asked why he decided to participate in “The Unit,†his reason was simple. Ji Hansol answered, “I was desperate to be on stage, so I came on the show. During the 150 days, I was happy I was able to experience many performances.†He added that his favorite performance on the show was his nerve-wracking first evaluation stage where he performed Taemin’s “Good Bye.â€

From the numerous memories he made on the show, Ji Hansol chose the time while he preparing for the “Monster†performance as the most memorable. He described the process of preparing for that performance as a “fun and heartwarming memory.†He added, “When we practiced, we practiced hard and during breaks, we talked a lot and played games. We also came in first place.â€

Ji Hansol concluded, “I actually smile and talk a lot, but I get nervous when we start filming. I’m regretful that I wasn’t able to show 100 percent of myself. One by one, I will show you everything.â€

He and Ten are incredible dancers, they inspire me to improve my skills and I find his personality very cute and attractive. He is getting attention now but I'm worried bcs he's shy and i'm not sure if he will be able to stand out.

 

 

I cant pick my favorites yet but I like Joohyun, Junhee, Suwoong, Jeup, Jun and Chan.

 

He's got a kind personality. He posted on insta telling his fans to support all the contestants and he was saying the same thing on his vlive with Feeldog, Donghyun and Kijoong. I'm just happy he gets to go on stage after all this time, since I think he is just very passionate about dancing

Well, it could be a reason....he's so shy that we barely heard him talking. But that's something that can be applied to Taeil as well, he's so camera-shy that sometimes he really gets flustered and hides. 

That's why other, more extrovert, members are there. 

yes, Taeil is a bit shy too, but Hansol often seemed downright scared! Shyness is one thing, but anxiety is another issue. Especially if he is anxious around fans.

I know I don't usually come here, but NCT4U is gone so I have nowhere to talk about this

I've been following rookies roughly since 2015 and Hansol has always been somewhat special to me, and I've been a bit anxious about his career for a while.

The most likely reason for a trainee to leave is lack of debut opportunity or a career change decision (i.e. him not wanting to be an idol anymore). Knowing Hansol, I have a suspicion this might be it.

It could just be my own spin on things, but I noticed from reading fanaccounts that Hansol gets a bit anxious when approached by fans. People have described meeting him and trying to talk to him, only for him to back out and run off. He also struggled with speaking at concerts (getting flustered and not speaking loud enough). Could it just be that he is not cut out for being a celebrity? He obviously loves dancing so maybe he will follow the path of being a choreographer or dance teacher. (If this is the case though, I'll be really sad).

The other possibility is that he decided not to renew due to lack of debut opportunity (but this seems unlikely when NCT is right there!) Unless management decided that he was too old/not suitable for NCT which also doesn't make sense since he has already established a small fanbase and people are definitely waiting for him. Anyway, if this is the case, we could see him debut in another group someway down the track (as Jinho did with Pentagon).

In a way it's good that he got instagram because we finally get to see him after a whole year of absence. But I feel like people are going to forget him now..

Honestly, it's been a long time but I remember during ZE:A's debut days many in the fandom thought there was something between Hyungsik and Kevin. I don't know how I would feel if I looked at the commonly used "evidence" from back then nowadays but at the time, it didn't seem out of the realm of possibility.

I remember that too. Indeed, Kevsik were very cuddly with each other but I wouldn't know what to make of it.

He's an idol tho, a former one. He was the maknae of ZE:A. I still remember that video where their group had to play a game, ripping a piece of paper with your mouth or something, and some gross old dude was practically trying to makeout with Hyungsik (who was probably a minor then, either way it was gross).

Not many people here seem to know much about Hyungsik, so I can share a few relevant points.

- He was a very close friend of Ryeowook, and when they first became friends in 2011, he used to sleep over at Super Junior's dorm. They were very close for a while, became distant, but then became good friends again. They wrote many sweet messages to each other on twitter eg. Ryeowook hyung who’s like sunshine keke I miss you hwaiting~!!â€

- In early 2013, he tweeted in response to Hong Seokchun's Healing camp episode (in which he talked about coming out). By any chance saw Mr. Hong Seok Cheon’s Healing Camp.. Between B and D is C. There’s Choice between Birth and Death. It’s something important to choose between happiness and unhappiness.. Sad thought, happy thought which one will I choose between those two? - In 2013, while appearing on Real Men, Hyungsik talked about his relationship with one of the hyungs he met through the show. He was asked if the hyung had given him any advice about girls, and Hyungsik replied that he had been advised to read the Kinsey Reports and that he found this helpful.
