Let's take one step back and refrain from all this name calling, please. Yes, we may feel it is silly, irrational etc, but that does not, and dmn rightfully pointed out, the right to judge Korean culture. I think what Tae has said about GG said could be particularly relevant here: Nobody, not even the managers supporting SNSD understands. What I'm trying to say (and you guys may feel I'm beating a dead horse) is that in such a situation the k-SONEs and I-SONEs see different things. I'm not trying to defend k-SONEs, or put down I-SONEs. I'm going to stick to the assumption that lots of things got lost in translation. Whether or not something is morally "right" should not be culturally imposed. This in itself, is plain ethnocentrism. What is logical, what is right can be very much dependent on its context and it's time and place; a la cultural relativism. This isn't to discounting the fact that what Taeyeon is experiencing now is pretty crap. It is awful. The very fact is, Korean fan culture is built like that; and SM has maybe even pushed such fan culture in Korea. This "entitlement" etc. we might not agree with it, is how K-fans see things. No one way of viewing the situation is more legit. To cut a long story short, the ways in which we (I-SONEs) and k-SONEs see are different. What (access to information) we see is also different. And this ultimately means we see or choose to see, differs. I read somewhere that now that SNSD (and Tiffany) have more say in their outfits, she tends to stay away from clothes that emphasise the broadness of her shoulders. That's probably why she's the odd one out without the outer coat (? Not too sure what they're called) in these suits. In a couple of the other Mr. Mr. Outfits too, i believe! But they could have been less obvious!
