Bangtan only performed 3.5 songs at mubank and I feel robbed lol. Not like i was there but I wish they did more. You see, I don't know, if it was popularity that dictated line distribution, Taehyung would've taken over Jungkook's rap parts. And Jimin would be moaning his way into songs. I really do think they distrbute lines based on their level of technique, skills and ability more so than vocal color. (Although I agree with you that Jungkook's backtrack in some of V's parts are irritating - esp in the Danger's chorus). In my critical opinion, none of the other vocal members can match up to the control that Jungkook has, at least just yet. I think the Mcountdown interview where they all sang explains it all or any of the live radio shows. Jungkook lacks range and power, which is probably the reason why you find his voice irritating. It can really come off monotonous if he was not given the right song. Trying not too sound harsh, but I hope the rest of the vocal line better step up their game if they want to get lines in the songs. A lot of people have been saying BTS's vocal line are so weak, which I unfortunately have to admit as well. But I see improvements, like I already said in the previous post. --- On a different note, I just watched MuCore. The styling, energy, the stage, everything! was on point... Jimin is such a tease. Ah lol I didn't wanna prolong this but seeing as the discussion about 'vocal line' still continues my hand itches to write something down. LOL I just wanted to point out an interview they did way back when. I don't remember whether it was a magazine or a video interview but they were asked about line distribution. If I find it again, I'll link it up. They said that they distributed the lines based on who does it best. If I remember correctly, the members themselves also took part in it but I think the producers were the most likely to reach the final decision. And this also includes Suga as a producer. He was involved in directing the vocal lines and I personally think he did an amazing job in utilizing each and every member's strengths. Maknae lines are my biases and Kookie will forever be my ultimate but I agree with you. It would be great to have Jungkook sing less and have the others take charge. The vocal line have improved so much and I see so much more confidence in Jimin and V. I remember back when I watched their older radio shows where Jimin was asked to sing an impromptu song and you can just tell he tried to avoid singing it. I get frustrated because I know he can do it. Jimin takes it too hard on himself sometimes that I think it affects his confidence. But recently he's really stepping up his game, I'm proud of him. V changed a lot since LA. That vocal lesson did him well. Jin has always been confident and he's even taking part in writing lyrics so hopefully soon he will be taking more parts in the songs. This is a guess and a personal opinion, but considering the other 3 vocalists weren't singers to begin with, Jungkook took charge in the beginning because he had the skills to do both rap and vocals (just like Namjoon taking part in singing) more than the other members at the time.
