At first I didn't like the idea of WIN trainees in a Taeyang video but now I'm all for it. It'll be good to extend the hype (have to do this any way they can since they're probably not debuting until spring of next year) + I don't care if they fuck up the dance because I don't like Taeyang anyway lol.

Do you guys think the album is being held up because YG is keeping all the good tracks for the new girl group? The album will probably suck because 2NE1 will only get the best of the leftovers. :\

I think companies are planning to debut new girl groups at the end of this year or early next year.. I talked to a cube trainee before and she said cube's girl group might debut at mama or something not sure if legit :/

 

Are you implying that these girls will have competition? Lol no. Cube is a flop. Their new gg will be the female equivalent of BTOB. Woollim's gg will have mediocre success at best. The only possible competition for Jennie Kim's Chungdam High Iljin Clique is the new JYP girl group.

Oh, I didn't know that TOP had a movie out. Now I understand the sudden announcement of his solo single this month. YG cashing in on the hype. Since Korea is so enamored with TOP right now, hopefully Jennie Kim will feature on the single and get that promo.

The girl group which is planned to debut soon has 5-6 members.

This piqued my interest. I hope the group has 5 members and that this Sohee clone is one of them. I need this new group to be a spiritual successor of the (now disbanded) WG, in terms of music and concepts too.

YG should use Taeyangs comeback to promote Lalice dancing along with him or something. She would do great.

I'd rather him not have a chance to make a crappy song for WINNER in the first place. If he's just making album tracks then fine, but YG's weird title track choices lately are what make it even scarier. He's been way out of touch since late last year.

 

I still pu$$ypop to this.  The only people that hated it were kpop fans who can't move on from generic 90's beats.

The people who are trying to list good Teddy songs and only coming up with like 5 acceptable ones are kinda proving the point though. It's not that he's incapable of producing a good song, it's that his trash-to-quality ratio is too even for my high standards. Until he can start producing quality much more consistently I can't feel comfortable with him producing for WINNER. Especially since they haven't built a brand yet.

How commercially successful a song is, is a measurement of its quality? Heheheheh

You could only come up with one example out of all Teddy's songs this year? Speaks for itself. I don't trust him with WINNER. If he's in charge then their first single will probably sound like "Do You Love Me" and flop into oblivion. Only Big Bang can make Teddy's LMFAO/will.i.am-style electroshit work now because their selling power is so huge that people will buy anything they release.

 

^I knda agree with Ilbe (._.) ..teddy's song were good/more than good in 2010/2011 but now the rhythm and even the lyrics can sound little annoying and generic, I loved Rose though. 

 

Rose was alright but still pretty stale. It was also significantly less successful than 1,2,3,4.

That doesn't make sense to me considering he's YG's biggest hitmaker and rightfully so. He's a great producer but we can't expect to like everything he does.

 

 

It's not 2011 anymore. Teddy's sound is dated now which is why 2NE1's new singles keep flopping. He needs to step out of his cave and get up to date with current trends.
