Luhan now: So, right now, I think he's actually having a harder time with his sexuality than he did when he was in EXO. In EXO I wouldn't be surprised if at least some of the members knew, or if he dated or something, but now that he's back home....there's always been rumors about how his parents disapprove of his work and how they wish he'd settle down and get married, and when he first got back to China you could tell that that pressure was affecting him.

 

China is also pretty heavy on the homophobia recently, and there's not much room to be even ambiguous about being straight. For example, when he's on Running Man all of the men on the team are obviously encouraged to act VERY INTERESTED as soon as there's a female guest, orz. they're basically all like WOW THERE'S A GIRL HERE WOW SO ATTRACTIVE WOW.

So between society, netizens, and his parents, I feel like he's not having the best time being open right now. to me Jooheon and Shownu are the only ones i'm confident to say i think they're straight; Minhyuk, Wonho and I.M, ping a lot (Minhyuk i've always felt is gay), and Hyungwon's confusing. Right now i'd say he seems to prefer women, if he's indeed bi/pan/others.

I want to talk about Ravi a bit. Lately, N mentioned that Ravi never had a girlfriend, he only had one crush when he was in school.

But we all know that Ravi is also the one in charge of the lyrics in most of their songs, and most of their songs he collaborates with have somewhat explict meaning. Where did he get his inspiration? Like, how could he had written these? Did N subtly somehow tried to hint us something? .-.

NCT's Yuta bringing up Thailand's trans* community on Abnormal Summit. Not directly related to himself, but i just thought it's interesting (and nice) that he's aware of the term "transgender" rather than referring to this particular industry in Thailand with other more common, derogatory terms, and that he talks about broader things like the implementation of unisex/transgender toilets in the country.

I'd have to disagree on dismissing his bullying with his age (which honestly really isn't that young), but i definitely agree that he's getting a lot more sh*t than he deserves, at this point. he also seems to be genuinely remorseful, and can i say SM giving him the chance to bring it up again and again is a good strategy? ("strategy" might not be the most accurate word but you know)
