  1. have you tried gekkan shoujo? it's light rom-com in a school setting w/ female mc, but also develops a few side characters as well. It's also fairly fan-service free (or at least I can't think of an incident atm).
  2.   I think that was Boram, unless Eunjung also mentioned it somewhere else. I do agree about eunjung being not so straight anyways though.
  3. I might be wrong about the kkap part but I don't think he was actually referred to as kkap though? Since yeah, he did a lot of girl group dances, but it was more of a legit cover rather than exaggerated for humor (re: Min, Jo Kwon). But if he is referrred to as that then maybe I guess. Aside from the idol thing ofc.
  4. unless if the translations are off, key isn't kkap and ssk isn't an idol
  5. with Watch from Najin too lol I mean I knew that he was considered a pretty boy for the Korean pro scene, but that was so unexpected

    The Fanturd

I'm sure most people thought of it, but if one is to accept that possibility, then they would also have to accept that there is a legit reason for why Taeyeon and Jessica should never have to get along again which ruins future ot9 fantasies. That scenario also puts a pretty huge fault onto Jessica, which most stans don't want to seriously think about, so they'd rather believe that one member is just irrational and needs to get over themselves, rather than something undeniably bad by any standard. My bias(es) acting unfairly and having poor communication is a much smaller hurdle than they have a legit reason to hate another. Of course now that those ot9 fantasies are kind of smashed, the blame is once again on Taeyeon, since it is easier to scapegoat her alone (alleviates self-agency and blame from others that they want to defend), than accept the fact that Jessica called out all 8 of them. Thus taeyeon must be manipulative, because if she wasn't, then the others should be held responsible for whatever claim it is as well.
  7. If you live in korea, or use korean server then it would make sense to afk, but if you're talking about NA or even EUW I wouldn't really recommend it (I have no idea where you live). Any server that doesn't have much regulation I guess.
  8. you run the risk of getting reported too, so no. I just play it out and don't take the game too seriously. Surrender if it's a lost cause, but it's not impossible to win I suppose.
  9. I think there's less fanservice in general, but the discrepancy isn't really that big. Sometimes there's just less fans waiting to gif every single "lesbian" interaction, at every angle, second by second, like they might do with some boy groups. Also, f/f touching is just somewhat less hyped. If exo/SJ or w/e did that Nine Muses boobie touching as a part of their actual choreo, most people would make a bigger deal out of it than they care about a female group doing it.
  10. I hang out with both genders. I mean, regardless of our individual tendencies, whichever gender we gravitate towards doesn't really have much meaning on its own imo. Some people like to hang out with the sex that they are attracted to, others feel more comfortable with the ones they aren't. Tao might like to hang out with boys, Key might like to hang out with girls (these are just examples, not really accurate). It doesn't really tell us much unless if they implicate why they prefer to hang out with so and so, and whether sexual attraction is a factor in that. Paprikaa doesn't seem to like to hang out with girls due to personality. Supposedly Yoona and Taecyeon were awkward for a long time simply due to what other people thought of the possibility of romance. Maybe it's more likely that any random person would prefer to hang out with the gender they're not attracted to, but neither likelihood appears to be high enough that it should be the assumed default anyways. And that jonghyun gif, while amusing, is kind of misleading since the full gif set is more like him loading a gun and pretending to shoot, not really a simulated handjob (unfortunately). I dunno if you already knew that though.
  11. nah, though bad art can be a deterrent to reading.
  12. [+40,-18] Your face looks like a monster classic comeback so much butthurt detected in these threads though
  13. Bots generally aren't going to do shit for improving beyond testing out a few champions. The only useful thing that you can really do outside of pvp modes is to practice cs'ing or flash combos and a select few other fancy tricks. Cs'ing is pretty important though, so if you weren't focusing on that before in your bot games, it would be a good idea if you must play against bots. Even if you can't outplay your opponent in some kind of fancy ass way, you can still play it relatively safe and farm it out. If you're lower elo, chances are the other person sucks at cs'ing and you can just accumulate a gold advantage that way. Other than that, playing against people is the best way to improve, bots are nothing like other players and it's best to get used to that rather than relying on bot stupidity to win. Junglers and warding are also important. It's normal to lose a lot so dwelling on your losses too much isn't really going to do anything. The average is about a 50/50 win loss ratio, and your results are likely to not deviate too much above or below that.
  14. I guess that's true, it could easily just have been a random fan rather than fangirl in a tree level of stalking, though technically I prefer to use the rather loose application of stalking where it would also include following an idol around off the clock even if it is a public space. Usually I do think people should try to respect the idol's request though (especially when off the clock), so in this case it's still iffy. The pics aren't terribly scandalous so it doesn't really change anything much, but it's still kind of bothersome. I'm not a Myungjong stan so I don't really know about any of their well-established stalker fans or anything so it's rather hard to say what's the fandom's stance on these kind of things, or if they even care. If this is all they're posting though, they're probably not some kind of habitual stalker.
  15. Yeah, his dad is really...something. There's the run of the mill homophobia that usually takes a while to manifest, and then there's the bible-thumping, Rush Limbaugh is that you strain of homophobia that I don't even think the most bullshit resistant of people would put up with. Siwon kind of has a preachy image to him that's likely based on his actual personality to some degree, but it's probably played up to a certain degree, and I'm a bit skeptical that some of his very much gay friends/associates would actually put up with that crap if he was consistently spewing anti-gay rhetoric. I can see some of them putting up with a little bit of it for the sake of friendship or being in the same group, but I would think that Brian Joo or Key or one of them would peace out after a certain point. I do genuinely think he's rather close to Heechul too though since predebut pics and all. The most convincing thing for me about Siwon is probably his Obama twitter follow/rt after the pro gay marriage thing. I do know some homophobes that are still pro gay marriage merely by principle (separation of church/state), but it's really unlikely imo. It always kind of surprises me how many k-idols are actually religious though, or at least in comparison to the % of the general populace. At this point it's kind of a lost cause, yeah, but generally speaking I do think that spreading blatant stalker pics esp. if an idol said no should be discouraged. Fans, and esp. i-fans are usually kind of crappy at keeping things on the dl and not spreading stalker pics like the plague, but I do think people are getting a little bit better about it. The pic prob doesn't really tell us anything new though tbh.
  16. People can still be homophobic even if they have gay friends or even do questionably gay things themselves. It's kind of common actually. All it really means is that they're probably not violently homophobic, or wouldn't disassociate themselves with others merely because of sexuality. They can still be incredibly heteronormative or say/do homophobic things of varying degrees. But if we go back to why people even think he's homophobic to begin with, there really isn't all that much basis to actually paint Siwon as homophobic other than that Yale Globalist thing that lacked proper sourcing. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. Either way, I'd hesitate to claim or spread the rumor/idea that someone is homophobic based on a questionable source. Homophobia is a pretty heavy thing to accuse someone of (a lot of people in the kpop fandom gave him shit for it honestly), so being wrong about it isn't going to have the same consequences as saying something like "Siwon likes tomatoes, and he always adds extra tomatoes in his pizza and pasta because it's delicious," but later finding out that he likes aubergines instead. The Siwon is a homophobe trope has become somewhat canon at this point, so I don't really expect the closeted, self-hating gay theories to disappear into thin air, but we really do not even have any idea who even wrote that article to begin with (yet), so it's odd to see it being taken at face-value. Anyhow, if we took out the Yale thing, he'd be near the bottom of the list of people that I would suspect to be homophobic. Or it can just be one of those I used to be homophobic but now I'm not situations.
  17. tbh I don't think they'd ever bother bearding via dating scandal for the reallly obvious ones that even non-fans already get the hint by now. Maybe Tao or w/e isn't quite that obvious atm, but dating scandals have to at least be somewhat believable imo. Even if they don't convince everyone, it should at least be realistic enough to create a reasonable doubt for most people. Bearding someone like Key or Jo Kwon at this point is like bearding Liberace. Better to just send them off to some mostly harmless dating show. If Yoo Ah In and Han Ye Seul got into a dating scandal tomorrow, I don't even think the most closeted and homo-denying of netizens would buy that (well, mostly).
  18. I don't think most idols from larger companies would have to be forced/coerced into sex since they have more resources w/o having to resort to that kind of sponsorship (I have no way of knowing this, it's just a guess), but quid pro quo sexual exchanges probably occur at every level of the entertainment industry. So if your faves are fucking, then hopefully, at least, they're only doing so for the extra cash or rise to fame rather than being forced into it and having their career seriously threatened. It's likely rash to assume that an idol is fucking because they get a solo gig, but to be a little realistic, if you were a well-known movie director, and had to choose between several hundreds of young pretty boys who all can't act to save their lives, you'd probably choose the one young pretty boy that can suck some serious dick (or has a lot of money) but can't act, over the other ones that don't offer those extra benefits, and still can't act. I wouldn't suspect kyungsoo or luhan over any other idol merely because of their sexual preference or looks though, since this is something that can happen to pretty much everyone gay or not.
  19. Even if one doesn't have the luxury of being a coordi noona, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to guess who some lgbt idols are, so the first response was kind of difficult to take very seriously. At the same time though, the context of the first reply was kind of framed in response to observations of skinship/fanservice in relation to sexuality. It could have been a mostly honest - albeit misleading and poorly worded - answer. Skinship/fanservice might not have really affected her views of their sexuality, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't know or think that lgbt idols exist. Some of the idols that I think are gay convince me for reasons other than fanservice/skinship. Whether the person was merely saying that some people overdo the gay subtext, or that she was simply backpedaling out of a idiotic reply, idk. Honestly though, it's hard to take "insider info" at face value since there is often no legit confirmation whatsoever, even insiders aren't privy to everything, and even if they did know it's pretty unprofessional and inappropriate to actually out someone in that manner.
  20.   The rumor I read before was that Eunjung was straight and in an open relationship with Taec. It was a really long time ago (around 2010?), but I don't remember the site anymore (should've saved it) :/. It was just a rumor, but it's mind boggling for me to even think about it tbh. Some things came true, others didn't. Anyhow, those two are friends though, and she seems to be close to 2pm in general.    I haven't really heard of any Yuri rumors except for the recent-ish one with Ha Jung Woo. For her lesbian rumors there's ofc the old triangle between SYJ-Yuri-HYS as well as the yoga instructor thing. I could buy her being bi, but if there wasn't actually some truth behind the love triangle rumor, I don't think other people in the industry would kind of hint at it, and Sports Seoul certainly wouldn't have taken it down if it was pure fluff (SM or the other actresses's companies prob doing it's work). The Yuri-Luhan one that was brought up kind of recently is just...no. Nothing against Luhan but how does one go from SYJ/HYS/yoga instructor to that idek.   I'm not an avid follower of SNSD, and I tend to not go off of vibes too much, but the only thing I would pretty much change would be to switch Tiff and Yuri. Maybe Taeyeon and Jessica too, but that difference in ranking is too minor anyways. So it would be Yuri (pretty sure she's lesbian or at least bi), Jessica (highly suspect), Taeyeon (highly suspect), then Tiffany (moderate).        I certainly hope tbh, but to be fair SM denies a lot of relationships that are pretty much true. I'm of the mindset that he's a beard anyways. To think otherwise is too appalling to imagine.       The only thing I gather from Taeyeon's rumored types (Junsu. Teuk, Baek) is that they either have a really nice ass (Junsu) or really like touching butts (Teuk, Baek). At least they have that in common lol.
  21.   yeah, I wonder what it would have been like if Dancing Queen was chosen for the title track instead (other than the fact that it isn't Gee ofc), but even though I think some people pointed out the lyrics before when it first came out, I never noticed Jess's parts before or that she wrote some parts of it with Tiff.    And even if I find Taec acceptable (or at least not Tyler Kwon tier), I'm still don't want to see that boy as anything but a beard. Ever since I read one of his rumors with Eunjung, I'm just like, no. Nope. I refuse to believe that his d is a lesbian magnet. Next thing you know he'll be linked to Yuri.
  22. ^ Jessica's choice in lyrics is impeccable. Praying that she is lesbian tbh. I refuse to believe that she has such terrible taste in men otherwise (Taecyeon is acceptable, but Tyler why).
  23. Honestly, one of the reasons why almost none of his (k-)fans really cared about the scandal is because even without the pics it was pretty obvious that they were dating anyways. Their SNS stuff is quite amusing. Not to mention the fanaccounts. It was kind of like the Tiff-Nichkhun situation where if you didn't see it coming from a mile away, then I dunno what to say. Of course some people were pressed, but those were mainly the Khuntoria shippers. Most "friends" don't say or send lovey-dovey stuff to each other. I mean, of course Eunhyuk could have been visiting his sick friend as well, but it's quite unlikely in light of other things that imply that they are more than that. The only other possibility is that they're either bearding or trolling. That being said, Onew could still be gay or bisexual or w/e even if he has a gf. It's not like gay guys never get girlfriends. Just that it's not necessarily heteronormative to assume that they're dating really.
  24. I'm certainly no expert on celeb dating, but the general impression I get from dating rumors/scandals is that most of these celebs aren't daft or rebel enough to literally stroll through the streets of Seoul in broad daylight w/o disguises on, but a good portion of them still want a small taste of normalcy in their relationships. That is, even if it is indeed somewhat risky behavior, and they know that some of their fans will get a hint, they compromise that risk with their own desire for some romance (or they just might get a kick out of it, who knows). Hence why it's fairly well known that some celebs like going out for dates near the Han River or to the movies, even though both places are suspected date destinations. Of course some idols could be like the mysterious and graceful "actress B" and only have very hot and heavy home dates or (very careful) car dates -and almost never get caught- but that kind of thing isn't really for everyone, as can be seen in the case of "Top Star A." I mean, can you imagine if Baekhyun was all like "I really love you Taeyeon and I'm really glad that you agreed to go out with me, but can you just pick me up at my dorm right now so that we can just get it on in your luxury Benz and call it a day? I've got a lot of crazy fangirls, babe, please don't misunderstand. Noona, we only have to do this until I'm 35! Oh, and I'll bring some moonlight scented Febreze for when the air gets a little..heavy." <- just an example ofc After reading about quite a few rumors of other celebs dating quite indiscreetly for years (e.g. Tiff-Nichkhun), and seeing other suspected couples send hints over SNS left and right (IU and Eunhyuk, Yesung and Jiyeon, etc), the Onew-Jungah thing doesn't really surprise me. I forgot to mention that they actually tweet each other too though lol. Judging by the pictures, they obviously weren't being subtle, so I can easily see how they were asking to be revealed to the public, but in general, even if they were caught, most fans don't actually rat out their idols (or at least don't spread decisive pictures), and paparazzi can be paid off until the govt or someone decides to screw up again. As for the electronic cigarette thing, I don't think SM would want to set that up because it's unnecessary drama that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with making him seem straighter imo. There's probably other ways to make a picture seem more authentic than to add smoking pics. I could be wrong though ofc. For SM denying...well, they've been denying practically everything except for the recent string of Soshi relationships, so it doesn't really make me more suspicious of Onew/Jungah, than say IU/Eunhyuk (bless Loen's creativity), Sulli/Choiza, or Victoria/Changmin. That being said, it's probably super easy for idols to trick people into thinking you're dating someone of the opposite gender, so setting things up is really quite easy if you put the least amount of effort into it. It could easily be set up, imo there just isn't much atm to make me think that they're fake for now. I actually don't follow either of them much anyways though lol, so there are probably many much more informed people on the subject of Onew/Jungah. anyways, that was really long and that gif is adorable Oh cool. I was looking for the original text/clip but got too lazy to really search for it. If so, then I would agree that it doesn't really mean much atm.
