Thanks for the welcome guys! Even in terms of thread views/followers, Up10tion seems to be lagging behind the other two, but I will try my best to promo this group as a representative Honey10 (and wei stan) in the future 

TM isn't all that bad at promoting they do well up until the point they have something new to focus on so hopefully by that time Up10 is big already...they may not be talked about a lot but they have a lot of fans in Korea and Japan and it keeps us out of drama lol which is nice. I think they are getting bigger and bigger, they were the first boy group from 2015 to be nominated for a music show win on Music Bank so that's impressive af...but I agree they should be bigger internationally I just think that MX and SVT took a huge share of all the intl fans and Up10 is sorta in their shadow but they're still amazing and we have a sweet fandom <3

Yeah I just found out about their nomination recently and was really impressed! How funny would it be if Up10tion was the first out of the three to win a music show? I feel like that would kind of force people to look at them. Though I definitely agree that Honey10 fandom isn't problematic at least because it's so small, which is nice considering how big kpop fandoms tend to get really out of hand. Though things also don't get subbed as quickly :'(

Hey guys! So I faded out of K-pop for a bit, but Up10tion has literally DRAGGED me back in and forced themselves as my bias group in the span of like two weeks (even though i thought i'd totally outgrown kpop)

But I'm wondering why they aren't as popular as Seventeen or Monsta X seem to be? Up10tion has 10/10 visuals, 10/10 talent, and they're pretty funny/interesting when they do variety shows. Even though the three groups all debuted the same year, Up10tion seems to be the one people talk about the least :'(

I really hope 2017 is the year of Up10tion's rise though! They honestly have so much potential to make it big, it'd be such a waste if they didn't!! (also worried because idk how good of a company TOP media is, but i get the impression that they're kind of shady tbh)

So just out of curiosity what concepts do you all think the three videos will have? I'm sure each one will be a different concept, but since I haven't been super up-to-date on this thread, I'm not really sure what direction they're gonna go in other than the girl power kinda thing

The issue with PINK PUNK is that "Punk" is literally a genre of music.  They were not going to do punk.  It was too restrictive a name, in the US an elsewhere a group like PINK PUNK would come off as posers.... like if Baby Metal didn't actually do metal.  And figuratively PUNK doesn't really capture the YG essence as well as "BLACK"

Omg thank you I feel like I'm the only one who at least likes Black Pink more that Pink Punk. If they used punk in their name it would really restrict their concepts since they'd always have to be edgy to live up to the name.

(Also as someone who also likes punk music, I just feel like it'd be kind of irrelevant since punk and kpop are pretty much opposites)

Now that this group is finally debuting I think it's time I actually post on this thread XD

I've been on and off lurking on this thread a loooong time, but eventually gave up because I was legit certain I was going to fall out of kpop before they ever debuted, yet here we are! 

I'm actually pretty excited they have only four members- it's so different compared to other groups and I'm sure YG is going to give them a fresh concept that will distinguish them from other groups. To be honest, I really hope he doesn't add any more members in the future to avoid any mess. 

Now hopefully YG is actually consistent and gives us at least an MV teaser next week -_-

I guess since the comeback is tomorrow I should introduce myself before this thread gets flooded with hype~

I've always heard of SS501 as one of the 'iconic'kpop groups but never really looked into them until they came back. I don't know that much about them, but are there any shows they were on I could watch to know them better? Like I know DBSK had All About DBSK and Suju has like a billion variety shows, does SS501 have anything like that?

Ahahah after re-watching the teaser and the masked performance at LSM's speech, it made me think of how some people (albeit delusional people) think SM has something to do with the illuminati XD

Even though it's obviously not true, I feel like it's funny now that SM is trying to spread hallyu by making so many multinational groups. Trying to take over the world... Through attractive guys and good music XD

I understand the concept and everything, but... Maybe I'm just a stick in the mud who doesn't like change. This definitely seems like a revolutionary concept, but it's confusing at the same time? And of course SM milking us cash cows, even if they debuted a whole bunch of units I don't have enough money to support all of them XD

We'll see how this plays out

A lot of people are comparing this to the Exo system, which tbh I didn't like much either. I hope that if SM invests in other countries they do it well since according to my Chinese friends, Exo's Chinese lyrics are poorly translated, which shows they didn't put much effort into them :/
