I don't think they should focus on charts in beginning anyway. I mean exo released What Is Love first and that was a ballad, and I still view ITNW as a ballad, but it became a hit because of its message. I guess I'm feeling underwhelmed cos usually rookies do covers, but we're not seeing anything new from them besides tiktok. And I'm sure young fans love tik tok, but for me I don't care about it much much. But I did see her singing in The Show which is nice.

Kind of wish they'd let Ningning sing for once in the radio. They already let Winter and Giselle (rap for her) do it. I'm curious to hear her voice live again. Also I'm surprised there is no live singing of Black Mamba in radio yet. RV did it on Cool FM radio with Happiness, so I'm wondering if SM is delaying it cos they're releasing a slower song next year.

Thanks for the long reply. I did read Luna was at the top, but wasn't sure about debut. Tho i do find it interesting that chen is regarded as good during debut since he only had 4 months training. Anyway still no live vocals yet but winter did sing a bit of her part in this segment.

There was a comment before about Ningning possibly not being as great as Wendy during her debut (though I know we can't really know until they sing live), but it does make wonder, who had the best skill when they just debuted? I didn't follow SNSD or f(x) since beginning so it makes me wonder if Luna/Taeyeon were better than Wendy in beginning. Also, too lazy to backtrack, but what was the vocal ranking for NCT vocalists? I saw some people saying Taeil in reddit, but who's after him?

Reading the stories of Choi Jin Shil, her brother and her ex-husband, I feel so sad for this family. I can't imagine anyone else suffering the deaths of 3 family members with the exact same cause. I hope that Hwanhee and his sister will be mentally strong for the rest of their lives.

Changing hair color for ai would be easy, but copying the hair style might be hard unless they got a talented game designer doing it for them. I say game since those ai are look like players from rpg for me.

I feel like SM is just copying the success of exo/nct by debuting units first then doing a cb with everyone. Maybe they don't specify it's a subunit because aespa is supposed to be its own group and then the last 3 rumored girls will be a trio. Then maybe they'll combine both groups by saying how aespa's avatars "accidentally" found a different virtual universe and met the trio's avatars. Knowing SM, they can make better fanfic than most of us.

But even if they debut the first week of Nov, the music stage will probably be Thursday. So technically, they could debut a new member each day (making it into 7 by Mon) then group and single announcement by Tues/Wed.

I hope not, no offense to their fans. The market is already saturated with girl crush groups/songs and SM has never debuted a group that follows a trend, they tend to make a trend. I hope they do like pop/rock or even folksy (like Cups from pitch perfect) because there aren't any girl group dominating in that I think. On a side note, the whole avatar experience makes me think about exo concept. How exo was supposed to be 2 units mirroring each other. It makes me wonder if they're aiming for a female version, but someone did say in Weibo (as rumor) it'll be 11 girls so maybe not.
