  1. I'm trying to make peace with the idea that OT5 might be the only girls debuting. Looking at the brighter picture, Lily and Eunsoo are still young and could still debut in the next group in 3-4 years. Same for all 03 and 04 liners. I'm just worried Lily won't wait that long...

I kinda saw Jisu coming when they pushed as MC in the last showcase even though it was her very first showcase, but Lily :0 she's my 2nd favorite trainee...

Part of me is now hoping for Sixteen 2, I was always in the minority in favor of a survival in this thread, but now more than ever^^' This is the only chance to make the lineup bigger at this point...

  2. I hope I can say to you guys more, but i cannot because Of company. But lilly left. And Yejin not join sm. the 5 member are not final line up. Maybe few more to be added. But also few more not be added.

It would have a lot more weight if you had a proof... People were saying Chaeryeong left, they even said which company she went to, yet she is still here

  3. I still think 8 could make a nice lineup, on one side a dance line with Somi, Rhujin, Yeji and Chaeryeong, and on the other a vocal line with Lily, Jisu, Haewon and Eunsoo. JYP could even try separating both teams in B-side tracks, or have a double A track in follow-up promotions where they perform separately.

Just a thought, I love too many girls to have only 5 of them debuting T.T

  4. How come jyp is debuting a new gg? Didn't twice debut after rv? I thought it'd be like that again, a one year different.

because as soon as they debut somi they can get more money. the longer they leave it before debuting their new group, the bigger the risk more famous trainees will leave.

The debut has actually been pushed back. They initially promised that the girls who didn't make Twice would debut in their own group 2 years later.

Most trainees left so they had to make a whole new lineup and the group is only about to debut now.

Twice is JYPE's only gg right now when they have 2 active boygroups, a boyband and a soon to be back "veteran" boygroup. It's not surprising...

  5. i truly don't believe a sixteen 2.0 is happening bc

    1. survival shows are old and tired now and no one cares unless it's produce

    2. yg literally just lost millions on mix9 so i feel like other companies are noticing it's a dead market

    3. jyp, who was the face of sixteen s1 and stray kids show, just recently had a scandal so having him out on tv so soon and directly associated with the new group could do more harm than help

plans change. maybe thise article about it being a 5 memb group is speculation or hearsay, but tbvh its not outlandish. it makes sense and aligns with all of our speculations and info about so many girls leaving and 4 girls spotted going somewhere together recently

Actually, this would be the time to change who's on the show. 2PM members became directors, Yubin or Suzy would be more than deserving as host/judge for the girls... Lim or even Got7 members could totally qualify, Isn't Jackson on a survival show in china as a judge/teacher?

Would be nice to see a pannel of 3 or 4 of them do the show (if there is one)... They could have only 10 girls-ish, and have to select 6-7 (less elimination, easier, less risk of controversy, still the possibility to add more in case they can't pick, like for Sixteen 1.0)

  6. 5 member gg?? So small warstarplz.png

Most likely: Somi, Ryujin, Yeji, _____, & _____.

Lily? Jisu? Chaeryeong? Eunsoo? Sieun? Yuna? Who could it be?? It's so tough for only 5. warstarplz.png I'll just take it with a grain of salt becuase I want to be delulu...rlytearpls.png

If it's 5, Somi, Rhujin, Yeji/Chaeryeong, a main vocal (Lily or Jisu) and a visual (most likely Yuna S., Could be Eunsoo too...)

I don't see a spot for Somi, Rhujin, Yeji and Chaeryeong if there are only 5 members, and Somi and Rhujin are sure to be in, so...

  7.

i don't think she would have made a lot of friends in a 6 month period

i just hope that if she really left, it isn't because of something serious

    i mean, i hope she's healthy

She is on pictures with them and regardless, some of the ex-trainees just automatically follow the others^^ But even so, rumors of people leaving will always be there, if there is a proof, I'll have to accept it. Until then, I don't see why I should believe it ^^'

  8.

Loo, now that Suhyun and Produce 48 are more relevant

    and Haerin is out

i think you should add them in the tags instead of Mixnine and Park Haerin

Not removing Haerin until someone gives me actual proof she left... If she was on IG, old JYP trainees would follow her, but I see nothing.

I'm fine with removing the PD101 and the Mixnine tags for Produce48 and Shin Suhyun, if that's okay with you guys...

  9. That’s the reason I don’t want her to be a rapper in the group. Somi has a really unique singing voice which is honestly pretty to hear. I prefer her to be the lead singer rather then a Main rapper. And the reason why a Rapper is great for a group is for some fandoms not attacking this group. If you guys see how many anti fans TWICE has the biggest reason is cause they have a “cute†concept and not a good rapper (in their eyes). Especially blinks and if you want to argue with them they will bring Lisa and Jennie and compare them to dahyun and Chaeyoung. Gidle has a awesome Main rapper Soyeon. And a lot of Girl groups this year have debuted with good rappers which makes the competition high.

    My answer was basically said:

Well,, why care about antis who hate Twice or this girl group later because of this ridiculous reasons..

Seriously, Twice is considered the new nation's gg, who cares what their haters think? Actually even if they had the most skilled members in every area, haters would still find a reason to criticize. That's what haters do, they hate for no good reason. People seriously need to stop caring about the few haters when they are not affecting the success of a group AT ALL. Let them hate away...

A ton of successful groups have weak rappers, I don't know if you can call anyone in SNSD a good rapper and it never hurt their success. Good rappers usually don't go for the idol route anyways. It's perfectly fine if Rhujin is our main rapper and if she never does UR or SMTM (actually, I want everyone to stay away from shows like that...). I don't think JYPE is aiming for a rap focused group or for a hip-hop girl group, why would we need an amazing rapper? A rapper who can deliver her lines when she needs to and who fits in well with her members is more than enough.

Also don't forget that idols improve over time. An idol career is a growing process, you're not supposed to debut at your peak. As a long term Kpop fan, I assure you that all successful groups started out with some weak-skilled members, and that it's often those members who developed the most as time went on, not necessarily a Taemin level of improvement, but yeah, they all do...

  10. I mean even if they don't have the strongest rapper, I think the group will still be okay.

Definitely, if the concept is not centered around rap/hip-hop, they don't need a strong rapper.

RV doesn't have one, Twice has Chaeyoung who is good but objectively not amazing either. Yet they are too of the most successful ggs at the moment.

Rhujin will have time to improve even after debut, I think it's fine if there is no stronger rapper in the group...

  11. Honestly if Yuna S doesn’t debut in this group then I see the next gg being the Main group like TWICE. Yuna S can be the leader and the next group would probably be big cause other TWICE will be the only big debuted gg of JYP

The big group then small group then big group is actually an SM thing. Before Twice and Stray Kids, JYPE never had big groups and so they never switched between big and small...

  12. Tbh, if there really are only 36 Japanese girls out of the 96 trainees, I don't want the group to be 50/50. That's where the odds become unfair, because chances to make the lineup for the J-girls will be 1/6 but only 1/10 for K-girls. Plus that leaves no spot for the international trainees...

I agreed with whoever suggested a soft quota, like 4 Koreans, 4 Japanese, 4 for whoever is the next in the voting. But if the "S" members are really 7, I don't think the group will be 12. More like 15+? You wouldn't have more senbatsu members than A members, or the group will be only senbatsu...

  13. thats a good lineup but yuna doesn't bring anything to the group either, from the comments of the showcase her dance & vocal aren't that great. So there could be others that could take her spot. If eunsoo & sieun don't debut they still have a career in acting so I think they would be okay but I'm still rooting for eunsoo Im more attached to her than yuna

I prefer Eunsoo too, but I wouldn't underestimate the power a good visual has in attracting fans for the group, and Yuna is shaping up to become the kind of powerful visual like Tzuyu or Irene have been for Twice and RV.

  14. I realy don't get how people see Chaeryeong ^^ I see either Yeji (a lot of comments think it's her too but not in your article tho) or someone we don't know, so i will go with Yeji for now. You can compare with all the pics of Yeji (i posted some earlier), it's her eyebrows, her smile, her eyes, her head... I  don't really see Chaeryeong tho, but she might be the one behind hidden tho

I don't get the logic tho? Like they are two different persons and they have two different personalities and visual styles tbh. I think Chaeyeon is talented (why she made it in the top3 in the round based on their skills evaluation) but honestly i don't know if she will get the votes to make it in the lineup.. (even if she is in the top3 almost no one is talking about her sadly).

Chaeryeong is IMO more idol like. + She's really an all-rounder who can sing, dance well. Last showcase she was really the trainee standing out in most fan accounts, i think she got a good evaluation + the showcase before that she was noticed with Yeji. The only way i don't see her make it is if they decide that she overlap with others (Ryujin, Yeji mainly), they want to have more visual members or they decide she lack idolness despite her talent. I think mostly (without taking into account possible voting) she's probably in.

We haven't really heard Chaeyeon sing since Kpop Star though, so I wouldn't say she is less idol-like. Chaeryeong has a more feminine vibe while Chaeyeon is more powerful/girl crush. Nobody talking about Chaeyeon so far is actually a good thing, considering how much negative feedback both sisters got before.

I think this is the opportunity for her to start from scratch and show how much she has grown and developed, depending on the Mnet editing, she could definitely make it imo.

For Chaeryeong we talked about it before^^ I also believe she should definitely make the lineup if we have 7 members or more, but with less than that, I think she overlaps too much with the others. We basically have Somi/Yeji/Ryujin/Chaeryeong who are all going after the same "all rounder/mostly dancer/singer and/or rapper" spot. They're all good, but then the lineup will lack variety and individual opportunities to shine. If I have to cut one of the 4, I'd go for Chaeryeong. Somi and Ryujin bring in too much fan support at this point to not make it, and Yeji was loved immediately while Chaeryeong still gets lukewarm responses (showcases aside).

But with the recent fan-account saying there were 7 girls on the taller side, I think Chaeryeong must still be in. I was trying to count how many tall girls we have, and there aren't that many... Somi, Yeji, Chaeryeong and Yuna S are tall, then Ryujin is less tall but not short either, Lily was said to have grown a lot so she might be considered tall now too

Eunsoo/Haewon are on the shorter side, I'd say Mako too (the guy giving her the 3rd place sign at the audition looked huge next to her)

    I don't really know for Sieun/Jisu/Jia Yu/new girls...
