love the new OP design ahmagahplz.png

I hope music works starts a predebut project for them once Haesol is done with P48 meowfaceplz.png

Thanks both of you^^ Still updating though ^^'

And yeah, Music Works really has gems, whether it's only these 5 girls or if there are more (I've seen some Koreans on DC suggest 7 members lineups, I'm still looking into this), they really need to debut them!

Haesol and Jiye have amazing vocals, Soeun and Jieun are strong rappers and Shihyun is the dancing Snoopy everyone needs in their life but didn't know they did.

I'd be down for one more strong visual if she's a 98 liner (to fill the gap between Haesol and Shihyun's ages. Part of me just realized Uni.T Lee Suji would be perfect ^^') but basically a balanced and likeable lineup here, don't give up on them this time Music Works!

  2. New KANYtv is out smile.png

    ---

This part contains talks of other artists in Maroo ent, please read with caution. I don't mean to offend our girls, or other Maroo artists by what I say, it's just my opinion.

I think that Maroo will try their best to hold out until Jihoon comes back from being in Wanna One because Wanna One has a massive Korean fanbase and Jihoon is very popular, it will do them well to plan and make sure they stay afloat while he's away. And also, it's quite bad to debut a new group/duo (KHAN), investing so much money into them but not putting your all or not having the financial/business plan to make sure you can stay afloat for a while waiting to leverage from the group's activities when they become somewhat successful... is not a very good move.

Maybe because Euna was in The Unit, It was enough exposure and talk for Maroo ent to give KHAN the push they may have needed to give KHAN the chance to have all the promotions they're doing right now. KHAN and Jihoon (or the group he will debut with) are their hope for the future so maybe this is why they're better with handling KHAN this time around.

Actually getting both Euna and Minjoo is quite good. Euna is known from Superstar K, The Ark, unpretty Rapstar AND The Unit. Minjoo is known for Kpop Star, The Ark, Kpop Star again...None of all the shows, debuts and survival the girls did got them a massive following like Jihoon has, but they have a fair enough fanbase, all things considered, and especially: they built up their connections. How do you think a group like Khan appeared in Yoo Hee Yeol Sketchbook? Well Yoo Hee Yeol knows Minjoo from Kpop Star, he will do that much for her... And all those celebrities they know basically got them a whole lot of the gigs and shows they have appeared on.

The girls must have worked their a** off to re-debut and get that many schedules. And I'm not talking about their managers, but the girls themselves.

Maroo are the lucky ones, not many rookies can do as much as these girls did without the company investing a huge amount of money. Here, Maroo got 2 fully trained, fully ready girls who get along well and work together well without having to invest anything into them pre-debut. The girls have enough business friends to get onto huge shows just by telling their names. I mean really, golden opportunity for any smaller sized company. Which is why I honestly think the girls could have gotten better than Maroo. As someone who really wanted MyB to do well just to see them disband without any explanation and then seeing 2 members re-debut with a completely different concept still without explanation in BonusBaby, I can just tell how messy Maroo is... But at least Minjoo and Euna got to re-debut and I love seeing them so happy doing what they love, so I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy while it lasts, and hope Maroo is not gonna play them dirty and that they will get a comeback in a few months rather than in a few years.

  3. I doubt they post photos of All those girs for later to not debut them

Well... I doubt someone would create a platform for their upcoming group's fans yet not post pictures of 3 of their most popular members so... There's that.

More seriously, I meant it as they could decide to debut a small lineup this year and another one in a couple of years, in 2020, all the younger girls in the pics would still be at debuting age...

  4. i really like ot5, all the girls I like are there but I still want ot7 tbh with lily plus another trainee.

Same here, even if there is most probably a solo debut planned for her, I don't want to give up on Lily debuting in the gg... JYPE sucks at promoting solo acts. Lily can still go solo in a few years, but for now I really hope for that group debut for her.

I'd be down for a 7th member as well, but if it's 6 with Lily, I would be okay by me^^'

  5. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t The produce48 group promoting for 2 years ?? That’s definitely gonna be enough to be between hiatuses after the final group ddisbands assuming any of the girls make it in the first place .. As for Sunmin Her situation is circumstantial .. The fact that she left has more to do with Mixnine since JYP let go Yejin and Hanseol who were both getting attention from the public.. so it’s not really because she flopped I Mixnine she left .. it’s that and the fact that she didn’t make the final cut for OT5..

As for Yeji I don’t think the Stray Kids appearance is remotely enough to gage her popularity let alone compare it to Somi’s.. like not even Stray Kids Gained anything substantial from the show let’s be real.. and JYP didn’t do much for Ryujin either it was all Mnet and YG trying to milk her to save their show lol..

Are you talking about Eunsoo, Lily and Yuna joining Somi’s group?? Cuz idk I think OT5 is legit

I am not saying Yeji's popularity is comparable to Somi, I am saying this was an attempt at raising her popularity, and while I agree it's hard to gauge how popular she is, before that appearance, seeing her in someone's ideal lineup was rare. Now she's in almost everyone's.

And JYP did give Ryujin an acting job, an appearance in BTS' highlight reel and JYP himself appeared on M9 saying Ryujin and Sunmin were aces. If that's not doing something to raise Ryujin's popularity, Idk what is...

And you thinking OT5 is legit and the final lineup is fine, doesn't mean everyone has to think the same. I do still believe more girls could be added to OT5, and yeah, Eunsoo, Lily and Yuna would bring in a lot for the group, and most people would be satisfied with that kind of lineup, OT5+Lily+Eunsoo+Yuna

  6. But seeing how well Somi and Ryujin did in these types of shows you’d assume they see the pros outway the cons like seriously.. even in the worst case scenario they’d be gaining tons of experience so it wouldn’t be a waste anyway

There are 2 sides to this. Somi and Ryujin did well, but I also think that's what drove Sunmin towards the exit. Considering she's the only one who hasn't been looking for a new company, I wonder if it wasn't her choice to leave, as in she gave up becoming an idol.

The other negative side is that debuting girls who can "counter" Somi's huge popularity has been a struggle, and fans have been pushing for her debut + Somi herself expressed dissatisfaction at having to wait for her debut (at the beginning, she said later that it was okay to wait). They worked on making Ryujin big, they knew Chaeryeong had a following and they also pushed Yeji in that Stray Kids episode. Tbh, it'll be surprising if Eunsoo, Lily and Yuna are not in the final lineup, considering all 3 have a fair following as well. Building a group where all members bring in their own individual following to avoid the survival show would make the most sense to me.

  7. OOT for those who want a follow-up on Hanseol who closed her IG recently

Rumor has it she joined UrbanWorks:

Other trainees there include Kim Minjoo (currently on PD48, she ranked 13th, in the 1st episode, low key promoting because I like her^^) and Kim Yerang. Kriesha Chu was initially in the lineup too, not sure if she is now officially solo or still pre-group debut.

The team used to be called "Recipe of Girl" (소녀레시피), you can find lots of things and covers from them online, but I think this team was disbanded, it's now mostly Kriesha and Minjoo. The trainee sns (with only Minjoo so far...) is here: happy urban

  8. Anyways if it's ot7 who do you guys want added? Personally i'm a fan of Haewon and Yuna!

Purely personal preference: Lily and Mako

I just want Lily to debut already, and please not as a solo because JYPE is bad managing solos. Lily and Yeji are my biases ^^'

And my soft spot for Mako is still here... If not Mako, I like the 2003 line, JiaYu/Yuna/Haewon

Personal irrational thought, but I like when the ages of the members are close and sort of follow each other. I wouldn't like skipping 2002 liners and adding a 2003 liner... Makes no sense, I know ^^"

  9. Let's forget this performance exists, Suhyunnie, ok? imstupid.png

Well... Tbh... I love Suhyun for her visuals and I still feel her interest lies in fashion, because her fashion sense is just amazing.

But she has yet to impress me when she performs... Be it M9 or PD48, she just doesn't feel ready, and the problem is that with her age, she should be ready, like Woollim Kwon Eunbi ready.

It's one of the main reasons I keep leaving her out of my ideal lineups, because with the concepts Sujin/Bowon/Soyeon/Soomin can do, Suhyun is holding them back... I hope PD48 is her chance to improve tremendously and prove me (and Fave... ) wrong, but yeah... I don't see her making either the final lineup of PD48 or of Fave girls so far...

  10. Basically a picture from this video:

Ryujin went to the convenience store alone, surrounded by fans, I don't see why Yeji would suddenly be there with no mask and not trying to hide and nobody caring about her when Ryujin comes out... ^^'

Doesn't look like Yeji to me either

EDIT: Btw "Yeji" is already in the video above, definitely not her...

  11. BTW, what do you guys/girls think about the possibility of other The Ark members join KHAN??

Anyone here is also The Ark fan?

I want! But at the same time, besides Suji who is quite a catch for a company at this point, I don't see why Maroo, or any company, would go for that... They have their own trainees, why would they want to re-debut another company's "failed" project?

The girls have such a strong bond, part of me was hoping for a makestar project from where they could have worked and show a company/a producer that their group can work. But as it is now, the girls signed in different companies, or on the road to giving up being an idol (For Jane and Yujin), I don't really see it happening...

  12. Kfans just want the group to have a visual queen by their standards, and they fell for Yuna S. and want her.

The problem is Twice is considered a group of visual, a pretty girl next to a pretty girl, next to a pretty girl... So they just set an insanely high standard for this group as if "JYP's flower garden" exists because they only debut pretty girls. Truth is before Twice, each group had that one visual but the rest were not considered particularly pretty (again, by knetz standards, not my opinion). .

Knetz just gotta stop focusing so much on visuals really, sure having one good visual is important, but the whole group doesn't need to be filled with visuals, the girls are pretty enough even without Eunsoo or Yuna...

  13. idk if you saw this on twitter but there is a """"""rumour""""" that Koeun might have leave sm. I think it's false and that it was created by someone who wanted attention but i wanted to share that with you and know your thoughts about the issue.

I also think it's false because Koeun was promoted along with NingNing and Hina in shining star so... I don't know why sm would """""""promote""""" someone who's trying to leave their company.

Not to give weight to the rumor, but IF it's true, it means either her trainee contract ended and she decided not to renew (happens more often than you think...), or SM could be finalizing the lineup and for whatever weird reason she didn't make the cut or she refused the debut contract.

There are going to be rumors like that all the time for about every girl until they debut, some will turn out true, some will be fake, but be ready, it just means we're getting closer to their debut...

  14. any news :)

    I love the OT8 version

power dance line = Yeji + Chaeryeong

    rap = Rhujin

    visual = Yuna, Eunsoo

    vitamin = Somi

    vocal = Lily, Jisu

I'm all in for OT8 too, my OT8 has Haewon instead of Yuna though, but it's still quite similar^^ I'd be down for OT6 (Somi, Yeji, Chaeryeong, Rhujin, Lily, Jisu) + either two from Yuna S./Mako/Eunsoo/Haewon/JiaYu

Edit: let me change that: I want OT6, anyone else is added bonus, but if any of the OT6 is missing, especially Lily or Yeji, I'll be very disappointed...

  15. I am just excited to see the intro like season 1 (7/11 dance was one of the best things I have seen) and someone not many people root for surprisingly be a huge contender like Yunjin, Jiayu, or Mone

Yunjin is a 2004 liner, most people don't expect the group to have members younger than 2003 liners, that's why she has little support. If there is Sixteen 2, tbh, I don't expect the 2004 liners to participate.

As for Mone: she left a long time ago...

I belong to the ones who believe in the Sixteen 2 rumor more than the OT5, but I also believe Sixteen 2 will have a different format than what Sixteen had. Probably closer to what Stray Kids did, but with more public involvement. (Like a group of 5 girls and missions for more girls to be added or something along these lines)

  16. http://m.dcinside.com/list.php?id=jyptrainee

I see chaeryeongs name mentioned a lot. If you scroll down there's more. I don't know what knetz are saying though.

Using google trans and lmao idk esp this one I'm assuming it's not positive...

    http://gall.dcinside.com/mgallery/board/view/?id=jyptrainee&no=10295&page=1

They're calling out some Chaeryeong fans, saying they'll turn into akgaes, and there seems to be some rivalry between Yeji and Chaeryeong fans? Not too sure... Anyone with better Korean skills than me please help ^^'

  17. Tbh god only knows why. Maybe because they already had Jennie & Lisa for the rap line, but considering Jennie doesn’t rap as often as Lisa, Jinny could’ve easily filled the void. So Jinny was put in Park Seoyoung’s team for the sister group. YG also took Miyeon from G-Idle out of the lineup and that was after Jinny.

Gonna use spoiler because it's slightly OOT:

Timeline is wrong, Miyeon was the first to leave, everyone believed Hanna and Jinny were still part of the lineup after that, but looking back, it must have been around that time that YG decided to debut only 4 girls and that Blackpink was really "born"

I think Jinny, Hanna and Miyeon were removed from the team because they didn't add anything YG wanted for the team.

Hanna has an amazing voice but lacked the type of visuals YG wanted and she isn't a strong dancer, and for vocals: he had Rose he was satisfied with.

Miyeon lacks swag and stage presence (she's getting better with every performance though, if YG had known... I'm happy to see her doing well in G-Idle), and again, for vocals, there was Rose he was more happy with.

Like you said, Jinny's skills overlap with Jennie (rap+vocals), she's not really bringing anything more than her to the group. I also wonder about her dancing, I don't think it's as powerful as the other 4 (Jisoo got criticized a lot for her dancing at the beginning, because Rose, Lisa and Jennie are just very, very good dancers)

Overall, YG just dragged the debut too long and ended up overwhelmed with the expectations he had set himself. That's how 3 talented girls got cut, because he didn't have the confidence to debut them, and had more confidence in following a pattern he had already tested and where he knew he would do well: 4 member gg... Blackpink is amazing, but as someone who followed the group for a long time pre-debut, it was really a pity to see the group debut as 4 when they had been preparing for 7 members for so long

  18. I remember seeing comments about Lily's lack of high notes, and while I totally agree she was avoiding them while on Kpop Star, after some training at JYP she definitely didn't shy away from them:

That note at 2:33 is just wow...

And for those who just want Lily's part: start at 1:42

  19. idk why you think just because someone is a main vocal means they can't also be a dancer..i can think of plenty of strong vocalists who are also dancers

I mean technically don't the main vocals do the same dance steps as the others in the group? I mean when I watch my favs perform they pretty much all just slow it down a little bit when it's their turn to sing but they still all do the same dance moves.

As I said, she needs to be able to follow the choreography, that's it.

And main vocals and main dancers follow the same steps, but main vocal often do it less powerfully and also take more breaks in the back to prepare and do high notes.

There are exceptions, like Gfriend Yuju is a good dancer and main vocal, Jihyo as well (though Jihyo became a main vocal and wasn't trained as one), but overall, main vocals are usually not picked for their dancing... I mean, there is a reason groups have main dancers, if you say the main dancer dances the same as the rest of the group, we won't agree^^'

Same goes for the main vocal to me, I think it's fine if a main vocal is a weaker dancer, what I expect from a main vocal is a good and stable voice, as long as she doesn't stand out for not following the steps, all good...
