I think that's a mistranslation of Facebook. So many of my Korean friends have the same, and after talking to them they said it's because they're interested in making friendships, it's not understood as a sexual preference... I don't think it has any meaning.

There are very popular groups out of the big 3 now, what is called the "next generation of girl groups" atm is more Apink, AOA, Girl's day, and Sistar has had quite the popularity these past 2 years. None from the big 3 (yet? it seems like all 3 missed a timing or something. Red Velvet, 6mix and Pink Punk seem like the generation coming after them, peaking in like 3-4 years from now? Maybe it's just me...) I feel the problem for Sonamoo will be TS, because they were released just when their money-making group BAP started a lawsuit against them. Worst timing possible I'd say. I wonder how the girls feel about debuting in a company that is now associated to the "slave contract" companies. I guess their parents are extra-careful or something?

True^^ It's not like it's an official source anyways, no reason to believe it. I'm just clinging onto that small hope that things are moving bts and we'll get something soon, and that some people do have insider info and share it with thirsty fans like us...

Lee Jookyung is a JYP trainee who was rumored to have joined YG because a girl of the same name auditioned for YG (but failed? I think). Getting the info is not that hard, it's all over blogs and forums. Either he found it there and didn't use the most recent info we have, or he talked to an insider and Jookyung is actually the short-haired girl? Who knows...

It looks like YG took ages to tell Eunbi had left. I'm not sure their first priority is to make it public when a trainee leaves, even a famed one. YG only told fans about Eunbi because he started (very slowly) building hype for the gg by showing Jisoo and people asked about Eunbi. Eunbi was appearing on sns freely long before her departure was made public...

Haha that's the thing! Some say they do, but how can they prove it? I also think a lot it made up when looking at SNS, plus the insider info are often things like "the cousin of a girl who is friend with a member of the staff told me" so yeah...

No official news, just that 6mixaigoo tweet who claims they can't reveal their source but say it's confirmed.

They look similar but I don't think it's her. The height doesn't match, Chaeyoung isn't that short compared to Lisa when you look in these pictures:

If YG really has these 10 in mind, he'll probably have a "last test" up his sleeve, just like we've seen in survivals for the boys before (and in the rumors for who got into 2NE1 and who was left out). He'll select only the ones who can make the cut. I know he want his SM-ish group with lots of members, but 10...? I don't really mind either way, he won't leave any dead weight in the group, even with 10 girls, I just hope he'll debut them already! (And yes I know he 'selected' Chanwoo before, but I still want to trust in YG's ability to select talented people for his groups.)
-
To me they are slightly similar, the two girls aren't, but both voices have a similar feeling to me. I'm no music expert, it's just the very clear/pure voice they have that appeal to me. BAY was better in her song choices and musicality since she rearranged a lot on the piano, but I'm keeping my hopes up for Seo Ye Ahn. In today's episode I loved Hong Chanmi, the very first girl who received Yoo Hee Yeol's wild card. I liked her in her first audition too, I must like singers who sing like a lovely cloud passing over my head xD She's one I want to keep following, especially if she writes more songs like this one. Thank you Yoo Hee Yeol for saving her, again! I still love Ada Wong I agree with YG, she could become one of the dark horses, especially once she receives that vocal training she's missing. And Esther Kim! Oh Esther please win this, or become top 3 at least! I don't like how they keep pushing her as a finalist because in the long run that will play against her, but the girl is so good! I'm expecting a lot from that group next week, so many of the ones I liked in the first audition! Woo Nyeong In, Seo Ye Ahn, Esther Kim...
-
That's awesome! She's one of my favorites! :D Not only because she was so funny, hitting the notes in Problem is not that easy, and she has a nice, clear and pure voice, a little like Baek Ah Yeon who was also my favorite in season 1.

I just want something... It doesn't have to be a debut if they're not ready, but YG should promote the girls in some way before their debut. More MV appearances, more nona9gon/moonshot modeling (i know they didn't do moonshot, but they could), featurings in sunbae's songs (even b-sides) would be fine too... If he gives us a pre-debut show that would really be best, not a survival show, doesn't have to be a whole pinkpunktv either. I'd be happy with a youtube channel with 2min videos a week or something. Could also be SM Rookies style, not only for the girls but all trainees. YG has quite a lot of famed trainees now, he should really play on it. It's so frustrating to wait without deadline or info.

Funny I thought so too while watching, even when she did the low notes it sounded a bit like baby Lee Hayi in the first season! (Physically she reminds me more of Lee Chaeyoung) But the way she speaks is kind of annoying. Hayi was sleepy but didn't seem "slow", this girl is frustrating when she speaks.
-
Not sure I understood the definition well, but main=best singer, the one who sings the high notes and stuff, lead=second best BUT often the one who sings longer. They "lead" the song, but the main has more technique and gets the belting and stuff...
-
Neither... The first one is a typical future JYP, smart, who studies at Korea University, she likes Beyonce and Ailee but sings Gayo better (she almost got dropped singing Leona Lewis but was praised when she sang gayo). She's not very swaggy tbh, not YG style at all. The second one is not that good. She's 23 and said this is her giving herself a last chance at auditionning, she got pitty votes I think (but I don't understand Korean enough to know exactly what the judges told her)... I don't think she will pass the next round... Agreed! Which is exactly why I love Esther Kim from Kpop Star. If he wants to add a member, it has to be her! Her voice is not as deep as Hayi but her lows are so good
-
I feel the 1st round went by fast...? In seasons 1-2-3 they always showed the ones that were dropped as well, but this time we had only portraits of people who got in... Is Kpop Star suffering from bad editing now too? Plus there were too few auditions showed, why make 10min long portraits for each contestant? I'd rather have shorter presentations and a little more auditions, they did it only once in this episode... Are the ratings low? Why are they rushing through? Ranking audition already and barely showing anything about the one on one coaching... This put aside, Na Soohyun, from The Voice Kids Australia, was pretty damn impressive on Chandelier! She's not really charming or lovable, even her introduction was annoying, but wow for hitting those notes! Actually I don't really want her to go far, but still... The karate girl from NZ, Ada Wong, was so cute, I liked how she turned the song for a female singer, so witty, plus I love her voice. She's a little like Park Yoon Ha (the girl who sang at the end of the episode) but with a lower range. Can't wait to hear more of her! The first group, emotional vocalists, was surprising... There were some people I expected there who weren't, and some I didn't see in here who were. I'm curious as to what the next groups will be. Just noticed, aren't there few dancers this season? But the ranking is pretty much obvious already, the ones we know in the others out? If that's what happen I'll be really frustrated with the editing this year >.<

I love those! My predictions are: - Bernard will have a comeback that will actually gain recognition and become number 1 on the charts! - Fei and Jia will make a subunit together and release a song in China - JYP will release at least 3 new acts next year (My bets are especially on 6mix, 5live and probably one of the other girls team and/or the Chae sisters) - 5live will debut with a self-composed song, I want them to challenge CN Blue's debut. - Sunye, Sunmi, Yeeun, Yubin and Lim will come back as Wonder Girls (I want Sunye back too é_è) - Wonder Girls' come back will have a perfect all kill on the charts. - Jokwon will make a solo come back! (I wasn't active on OH back then, but who didn't like I'm Da One?) I don't have 10 predictions xD

Is that finally Miyeon or one of the rumored unleaked girls?

I loved Seo Ye An too, the girl who sang Problem, hope she'll get far! She seems so funny! And that girl who cried, Lee Serim, who was thrown in the middle without complete presentation, I guess she actually went further than expected in later episodes? She has a very unique vocal signature, hope she learns how to use it. Lilly M. is obviously the new Brody, hope she doesn't get pushed too far like they did for Brody last season. She has a good voice, but the girl doesn't seem very ready to stay in Korea when she already started a career in Australia. She's only 12, it's fine... I loved Esther, I can see her becoming the next Sam Kim, the one with heaps of talent but some flaws, that looks like an older participant and is not put in the kids category. I hope she gets as far as him And for some reason, I LOVED Woo Nyeong In. She seemed so humble and insecure, but she's got the basics down! I really want to see her do some more upbeat song and get far!

There are! Putting it under spoiler since it's not really related to our girls
-
Shannon's biggest problem will definitely be her management (see T-ara, F-ve Dolls, Co-Ed School, Seeya, SPEED for reference...), her being half-Asian can become a problem if it's overplayed, other than that not really... K-netz's comments don't make the opinion of everyone in Korea. If she delivers with her music, I don't think it will be a problem. Lee Michelle is half Korean half black-American. I won't say she doesn't have her haters because of it, but the people who care about the music only care about her talent, we can only hope it will be the same for Shannon.

Am I the only one who doesn't like neither Aphrodite 9 nor Pink Punk? Pink Punk doesn't suit a hip-hop group mainly because of the word "Punk" (Plus I really really don't like how everything girly nowadays is supposed to be Pink, it's sad how when it's girls it's meant to be pink) And Aphrodite 9... Well even after dropping the 9, a Greek goddess name? Moreover the most well known Greek female God? Why?!? Can't YG come up with something more unique and recognizable? I don't want to fight through thousands of statue/paintings to find the girls when looking for them until they become more relevant than the original meaning of the name (google image Red Velvet as an example -__-). Plus it sounds old and ... ugly... Stopping my rant here... I'll watch YG name them Aphordite because the "or" stands for Korea or something, and remind myself I'm not here for the name but for the music...
