Do you drink cow's milk or dairy-free alternatives? Or neither?
frozentear replied to hee_woo's topic in Random
Both. Unsweetened vanilla almond milk for recipes that can have it and cow's milk for recipes that calls for it. I prefer using almond milk in recipes and smoothies due to it having lower sugar content. If I'm drinking the milk on it's own (which is rare), definitely cow's milk. Gonna have to try oat milk one of these days. -
Which male idols do you think are gay?
frozentear replied to cold soba's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
I never thought Chanyeol was gay...never thought he was dating Mackenyu either. I personally think he's straight (not saying bi is not a possibility but it's what I think). The only EXO member who I'm convinced is LGBT is Sehun (Suho is sus tho), because of himself and what his members say about him. I always thought Heechul was bi/pan so I'm not surprised if he ends up with a female or male. Ryeowook is a bit surprising because I thought he was ace and just wasn't interested in relationships period. -
Is it okay for light-skinned people to use dark-skinned emojis?
frozentear replied to felidae's topic in Random
To be fair, a lot of the time there are only light skinned emojis. But yeah, I've never heard someone complain about anyone using any color of emoji, light or dark (unless it was used for racist/colorist reasons). I don't think most poc care about that. -
Which version of PS5 are you getting?
frozentear replied to Seunghee's eyebrows's topic in Gaming & Technology
Most likely won't be getting one, since I have a gaming computer and the only PS5 "exclusives" I'm interested in (Horizon Zero Dawn and FFXVI) are coming to PC eventually anyway. -
Karma. I'm not praying/wishing for his recovery nor am I wishing death on him. Whatever happens, happens in my view.

I've never warmed up to Sims 4 either. I still play Sims 2 and 3 lol. The current character models of Paralives aren't my favorite either but mods can fix that. I'm more into gameplay first and foremost! Keeping my eye on this game and whatever Paradox Tectonic is cooking up (praying it is indeed a life sim game).

Doesn't matter if it doesn't have any bad intention (it usually does though...), it's still wrong. The best one can do is educate, but it seems like they don't want to be and instead are doing flip flops and loops to defend blackface. It's sick. Funny how those "some naive people"...what you claim is the vast majority would be offended at yellowface and people using their looks and race as something to look down on or be made fun of. You'd think it would click with them.

A history that still has after effects to this day. And so what if they "don't lose a dollar or get a limb cut off" every time it's said. Doesn't happen with the other stuff either. Saying a word that most black people don't like for another race to use is ignorant. Informal use of ignorant is (for copy/paste definition) "discourteous or rude". What I mean by the "truly ignorant" is people who don't know anything about the meaning of the n word.

Jo Kwon comes out as Genderless/Gender fluid/Non Binary
frozentear replied to juniordud's topic in Celebrity News & Gossip
Congrats to him/them! -
Nope, but a swear word can be used to refer to anything and it doesn't have a heavy negative historical context to certain people who are still being affected by racism today. While singing the n word with a song doesn't exactly make someone a racist, it does make them ignorant (though some people are truly ignorant). And no, I don't crucify the Koreans for saying a word from their language (just like I don't crucify Spanish people for saying 'black' in theirs). Also, there are a lot of people who "appreciate black culture" but don't like black people at all...and I mean A LOT. "Appreciating black culture" or liking hip hop and R&B doesn't mean they're allies to black people at all.

Racial slurs are "just words" too. Like, do you go around referring to certain people as racial slurs because they're "just words"? Or are you a decent human being who knows that sometimes, words have a negative (and sometimes heavy) history and meaning behind it?

How do we classify Koreans? Are they considered Caucasian/white?
frozentear replied to The Hoe Wears Prada's topic in Random
Koreans are East Asian, not Caucasian. So can other races. It's uncommon, but it happens. Not saying that Middle Eastern folks aren't Caucasian, but...that's not exactly the reason why. Most Middle Eastern people are definitely not pale white. Most Middle Eastern folks range from a light tanned color to a deep one, not an Emma Stone complexion (which to me is what pale white is). -
