Usually, shaking your head up and down is a sign of bad technique, and can be seen as having too much tension in the face or an attempt to create vibrato. In any case, that's much different from shaking the head from side to side or bending down. To me, it looks unintentional, so I don't think she's doing it to create vibrato because she doesn't need to. I just think there's too much tension somewhere. I could be wrong, but she's definitely not doing it as an expression. And I mean that about Sohyang because people chalk her up to be the greatest singer ever ( ) and usually ignore her mistakes, even when they are blatant vocal cracks in the middle of runs.

I don't really have a problem with her or with her method of singing; I just don't think it should be called "expression."

I'm sorry, but to me (in this performance and many others), it appears that Sohyang does not shake her head as expression. Generally, it's on more strenuous notes, and I'm not trying to criticize her, but seriously, if another singer shook his/her head like that, I doubt people would call it expression.

I've only ever heard Ailee sing one of Lee Sunhee's songs (Ah, The Good Old Days), and it wasn't really that great of a performance, but I think her voice is maturing nicely and would really like to hear some more covers from her. I don't know much about Hyorin, though. XD

OMG. I'm like spazzing out!! I knew this Immortal Songs had already been aired (and I'm expected the full thing with eng subs today, or at least very soon), but I had no idea about this trailer, and the format looks so amazing!!!!! Hearing all these other professional singers sing her songs really proves she has a voice that can't be duplicated. Edit: Looks like it's coming out 다ìŒì£¼ 3/29. Can't wait!!

You should absolutely check out íŠ¹ìˆ˜ì‚¬ê±´ì „ë‹´ë°˜ TEN "Special Affairs Team TEN." It's one of the most thought-provoking crime shows I've ever seen (Eastern or Western). There isn't much romance, either. Just intricately thought about plots and amazing character development. :)

Not quite sure if she's still "current," but female Kpop vocalist Lee Sun Hee (ì´ì„ í¬) from the 80s and 90s has an incredibly developed and beautiful lower register. She has a range between three and four octaves and can sing down in the 2's and can probably vocalize a little lower (though that's just vocalization). ^^
